If yes, then the role of Programme Manager at HCCN might be for you!

This role is at the heart of the charity, managing delivery of existing services while developing new and innovative activities to help people with a cancer diagnosis back to independence with a renewed sense of self-esteem. You’ll be a key part of our small but mighty Operations Team.

We need our Programme Manager to:

• manage our existing portfolio of programmes and activities, ensuring that all activities are delivered according to scope, schedule, budget, safety and quality standards
• develop a new Pathway process, offering a confidential conversation with the people we support to explore the health and wellbeing support they require, and encourage them to take part in appropriate activities
• manage our community support sessions across Huntingdonshire and grow additional groups
• supervise and motivate the contractors who act as activity leaders
• engage and motivate the volunteers who support activity leaders
• ensure compliance with all relevant processes, legal requirements and standards
• ensure the charity continues to respond to the needs of the people we support

The attributes you will need:

Full training will be provided. 

This role is hybrid. The successful applicant will be required to work at our central Huntingdon location Bradbury House (PE29 1UL) on 2 Fridays each month when we run our community group and hold operational meetings, as well as running groups in St Ives and Sawtry. In time, in St Neots and Ramsey as well. Occasional evening and weekend working in the Huntingdon area is required. 

The time commitment is 20 hours per week.

You must live within easy reach of Huntingdon and be able to drive with your own vehicle.

The job of the Charity Shop Manager is:

· To be the main point of contact for MADM’s Charity Shop.

· Responsible to Charity Manager

· To be proactive in promoting the shop to the wider public.

· To co-ordinate the collection, sorting, and pricing of donations.

· To supervise staff and volunteers.

· To ensure that the shop is physically appealing to the customers, ensuring that it is clean and tidy always, that it is decorated when necessary and that the windows are regularly redressed.

· To be responsible for the training of staff and volunteers

· To co-ordinate the volunteer staff rota.

· To ensure that MADM Policies and Procedures are adhered to by all staff and volunteers.

· To be responsible for all online sales through the Charity’s website and online selling sites

· To keep a record of shop income and keep Management team aware of figures.

About the role

This is a fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Charity Shop Manager to join our team at our Exeter-based charity.

This new role will combine providing support and/or absence cover to our existing shops, along with getting involved in other opportunities for growth and development across the retail team (e.g. volunteering). Working in the shops may involve working to support the shop manager, or stepping in for them at short notice (and quickly getting to grips with their shop, processes, staff, volunteers and customers). This will be balanced according to business needs.

The nature of this role means that you will need to be capable of both leading or being part of a team consisting of shop assistants and volunteers.

There will also be times when you will be working on your own or with our Head of Retail and Enterprise at our Exeter base. The most important thing is that you will be helping us to achieve and exceed business targets for sales, growth and profits.

You will be based either at one of our charity shops, or at our main base in Exeter (to be discussed at interview).

About you

We’re looking for someone with prior management experience in charity retail, and demonstrable knowledge of the sector and its challenges. You will be self-motivated, commercially aware with a creative eye for displays, and constantly seeking new business opportunities. You will be comfortable with both acting as shop manager, and supporting the existing shop team, depending on the situation.

You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer care skills and be a person who motivates their team and creates a safe and energetic working environment.

There is a need to travel to different shops in Exeter and East Devon (depending on business needs) so a driving licence and willingness to drive InFocus vehicles is important.

The Society

The Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) is the learned society and professional body for geography and geographers. The Society is a leading world centre for geographical learning – supporting education, teaching, research, professional practice and scientific expeditions, as well as promoting public understanding and enjoyment of geography and providing advice to policymakers.

The Position

The IT Manager will work with our outsourced helpdesk provider to deliver maximum availability of the network, data and systems, to ensure we are secure and compliant and to provide support and training to our staff. The IT infrastructure includes an extensive wired and Wi-Fi network throughout the building with approaching 100 Wi-Fi access points. This network is critical for the smooth running of the Society’s day to day activities and the successful operation of events on the premises, which account for turnover in excess of £1m p.a.

The IT Manager will also be the internal technical/project lead on the ongoing development of the Society’s CRM system, Centrepoint’s oomi product.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a permanent, full-time post subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months. The salary range for this post is £45,000-£55,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a brilliant and proactive Senior Copywriting Officer to lead the creation of compelling written content that engages our audiences, strengthens our brand voice, and helps raise vital funds to support men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.

As our in-house copywriting expert, you’ll help shape messaging and creative direction for products and campaigns and play a key role in shaping our tone of voice across all communication. You’ll review and edit content, support colleagues to build their confidence and capability, and ensure everything we publish is clear, consistent and impactful.

You’ll take the lead on developing content and writing for key long-form products – including our supporter magazine, impact report and direct marketing appeals – transforming briefs into emotionally resonant, insight-led copy that drives supporter action across both print and digital channels.

What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with expert copywriting skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a supportive, solutions-focused mindset. You’ll be passionate about using words to make a difference, and versatile in writing for a wide range of audiences and formats.

You’ll bring a strong track record in crafting persuasive, emotionally compelling long-form copy, particularly for fundraising and direct marketing, along with excellent editing skills and a deep understanding of tone of voice and audience needs.

Bringing a forward-thinking approach, you’re confident using AI to support creativity and curious about how it can strengthen human-led writing processes and scale impact.

You’ll be calm under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities with confidence and clarity. A natural communicator, you’ll collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organisation, explain complex ideas simply, and be comfortable coaching others to strengthen their writing skills.

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organisation. You’ll lead on budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance, while supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

This role is both strategic and operational, involving close collaboration with our board, CEO and colleagues, as well as external contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and qualified accountant, ready to play a key advisory role in a small business and willing to adopt a hands-on approach when necessary. The finance team also includes a part-time finance officer and an assistant.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing monthly and annual financial reporting
• Leading the budgeting and forecasting process
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit requirements

Overall purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the national development and delivery of our relationships with the private sector to maximise income and impact to support refugees into meaningful employment.

The main purpose of the Partnerships Manager role is to deliver first-class account management and development of corporate partnerships to drive Breaking Barriers mission.

Working closely with Senior Partnerships Managers, Head of Corporate Partnerships, and members of the Income & Engagement and Services Directorates, you will be responsible for launching, retaining and developing a portfolio of partnerships ensuring we deepen and strengthen relationships whilst identifying opportunities for growth.

You will play your part in delivering and developing strategic relationships to bring value to our refugee clients and our employment and education programmes.

The successful candidate will have experience managing corporate partner relationships, including making fundraising asks and managing external communication with donors and partners at all levels of seniority. You will deploy your influencing skills and ability to build profitable relationships to great effect as you take a leading role identifying and nurturing future strategic partnerships. An understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility would be advantageous.

About you and the role

The purpose of this role is to manage operational delivery of our School by School Programme, ensuring efficient and effective delivery. 

You will be supported by our Chief Innovation Officer, and manage our Chef Trainers delivering our School by School interventions. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact, our School Engagement Manager and our Research Supervisor. 

Your role will oversee our School by School interventions, delivered across multiple school sites. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. You will be joining a dynamic and growing charity who are passionate about delivering exceptional training, skill sharing, expertise and know-how to advance the quality of food preparation, food service and food education in schools.

You will have an understanding of the context that we operate in, education and food sectors. You will have strong people skills, and the ability to manage effective partnerships with external organisations.

The responsibilities:

• To work with the Chief Innovation Officer to ensure that all programme delivery of school interventions is delivered in line with our vision, values and ethos.

• To support and manage our Chef Trainers to ensure that programme delivery is carried out in the most effective and efficient way.

• Coordinate and oversee all programme activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.

• Managing the programme budget, identifying issues, and ensuring milestones are met. 

• Work closely with the Chief Innovation Officer, Director of Partnerships & Impact and the School Engagement Manager to assess, cost and propose suitable programmes of support for schools and multi-academy trusts interested in our School by School programme. 

• Working with the School Chef Educator and Membership teams on our regional expansion strategy, creating schools that are centres of excellence across the country.

• Working with the School Engagement Manager, attend and contribute to meetings with the Senior Leadership of prospective new schools and academies, developing proposals and financial forecasting.

• Liaise and manage relationships with the Senior Leadership in the schools and academies we work with, being the key contact for operational delivery of programmes. 

• To ensure that service level agreements are agreed with schools and that our delivery matches the agreements.

• To monitor costs of the programme delivery, reporting progress of programmes to the Chief Innovation Officer, identifying any risks or delays to programme delivery. 

• At all times to ensure that our school interventions are being delivered in a legally compliant, cost-effective way.

• Work closely with the Chef Trainers to ensure our advice to, and work in, schools is legally compliant.

• Support the Chef Trainers in monitoring legal safety compliance in schools, promptly flagging major concerns to the Chief Innovation Officer and where appropriate, the key school contact.

• Ensuring learning and evaluation is embedded in our programme delivery, working with the Chef Trainers to document best practice learnt from each programme. 

• To work alongside the Director of Partnerships & Impact and Research Supervisor to ensure that we’re collecting accurate and relevant data to measure our impact, evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programmes, conducting regular assessments and measurements.

• Work with the Research Supervisor to support preparing reports on the impact of the School by School programmes, including statistical data, trends, and success stories. 

• Work with the School Engagement Manager to maintain accurate data records and ensure our contacts database is up to date with relevant chef, school lead and engagement information. 

• Collaborate with the Chef Trainers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of schools. 

Your skills and experience

You'll be the right person for this job if:

• You are passionate about food and believe in our mission to improve kids' health through improving food and food education in schools

• You enjoy problem-solving and working in a dynamic environment

• You have some experience in leading or managing a team within the food sector

• You have some experience working in a similar multi-site role 

• You have financial experience in the food sector - e.g. costing recipes, stocktaking, finding the best cost for ingredients. You’ll be comfortable with spreadsheets, monitoring financial costs, and producing financial forecasts

• You are organised, methodical, strong on detail, and able to map out deadlines and plan ahead

• You are able to engage effectively with senior leadership teams in educational settings, and are proactive and confident in addressing challenges

• You are an excellent writer and communicator with strong presentation and facilitation skills 

• You are skilled in building rapport with people and strike a balance between being supportive and challenging 

• You have experience working with various individuals and organisations, building relationships, and collaborating effectively to deliver successful projects
