We are looking for a Youth Caseworker to work alongside young refugees, asylum seekers and other young migrants who are at risk or in crisis, to ensure that they can access their statutory rights and achieve their full potential. The Youth Caseworker will provide holistic casework, advice and practical support to young people aged 14 to 24 years, working closely with statutory and voluntary organisations to ensure that the immediate and longer-term needs of young people are met.

About the Service
As part of an innovative pilot project, funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, Solace will be providing two specialist workers to support victim/survivors engaged in the perpetrator behaviour change programme as part of a conditional caution. The programme aims to address perpetrators behaviour and increase safety for victim/survivors. In doing so, it is essential that the V/S has holistic support to ensure any risks are identified and managed.
This is a pilot project and it is expected that there will be a considerable amount of testing and learning, trailing new ways of working to meet intended outcomes.
About the Role
You will be working closely in partnership with Police forces in Haringey, Waltham Forest, Enfield and Newham, as well as the Hampton Trust, to provide support for victim/survivors engaged in the CARA programme. You will also be supporting Police Officers to discuss eligibility for the programme and conditional cautions. You will be developing and delivering a series of training and learning sessions for the Police. As a new project, you will be developing key partnership relations, to strengthen collaborative working between the Police and Solace. You will provide light touch support to survivors whose partners are engaged with the CARA program, assess risk and share key updates with Hampton Trust and the Police to ensure safety.,
About You
We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary.
Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, experience of dynamic risk assessment and providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG. As this is a pilot programme where the delivery model may change, a flexible and adaptive approach to your work is important as well as willingness to contribute to programme evaluation. Part of your time will be spent ensuring that Police colleagues have the information they need to effectively administer conditional cautions so you will work closely with Police, Hampton Trust to develop different training elements, a willingness to develop and deliver this material is essential.
A relevant qualification in VAWG is essential, as well as willingness to undergo Police vetting.

The School:
Merchant Taylors’ School is a large Independent Boys’ School, situated in 280 acres of parkland in Northwood, Middlesex. The School was founded in 1561, is owned by the Merchant Taylors’ Educational Trust and moved to its present site in 1933. There are four distinct boys’ day schools on campus. Main duties and responsibilities:
Fundraising
· Developing and innovating the school’s regular giving programme, the Merchant Taylors’ Fund, to ensure a consistent income stream and increased participation from alumni, parents and friends.
· In conjunction with external consultants, running our (currently) biennial telephone fundraising campaigns and Giving Days.
· Liaising with school departments, clubs and societies to identify exciting projects to motivate supporters.
· Segmenting and targeting recipients for appeals to ensure the greatest impact and returns.
· Devising the strategy for promoting legacy giving as a means of supporting Merchant Taylors’, and to implement this strategy to increase the number of known legacy pledges to the school.
Stewardship

Reporting
· Reporting on progress against all objectives to the Development and Alumni Relations Sub-Committee of Governors.
· Where appropriate, working with the Development Executive (Events and Communications), to produce benefactor report publications and contribute to other Development publications.
· Ensuring that all contact with OMTs and parents is recorded on the Development Office’s database, the Raiser’s Edge.

Waltham Forest Advocacy & Support Services (SASS) provide free and confidential support to survivors of abuse within the community. The teams are made up of professional staff offering short to medium term support to women and men affected by domestic and sexual violence in the community. Our team offer information, advocacy and specialist services to increase safety and meet a range of needs – these can include ongoing safety concerns, emotional or housing support, legal options, reporting to the police, help around child contact, benefits and financial advice. As part of the support we also ensure survivors can access therapeutic support via the Waltham Forest Therapeutic Marketplace.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in this busy team for a Duty Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible in dealing with all incoming referrals and queries to the Advocacy Service. The role will involve processing all referrals, liaising with professionals, establishing initial contact as per the service’s contract requirement. The process of initial contact will involve completing a SafeLives risk assessment, assessing the service user’s practical and therapeutic needs and supporting with any urgent needs that arise during this contact. Additionally, the duty worker will make appropriate referral out, this includes MARAC and complete adult and child safeguarding referrals where required in line with Solace’s policies and procedures. The Duty Worker will maintain and manage any waiting list and will work closely with all members of the team in relation to the allocation of cases and case updates.
About You
Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on service users and their children, and experience of working with women who have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse. It is essential that you have experience of using Office Excel and case management system. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

About The Role
We are a small charity which is expanding and looking to provide additional administrative support for our busy teams. We have an exciting opportunity to join the South East Rivers Trust and become part of the small and dynamic Finance and Operations team, sitting at the heart of the organisation. This role reports directly to the Finance Director and will provide administration for this and other teams in the organisation.
The General Administrator role has been created to support with a variety of tasks, including calendar management for catchment meetings, which are hosted both in person and virtually, across the region. In addition to logistical arrangements of these meetings, the successful applicant will support with all aspects of hosting, including minute taking. The role will also support the research, writing, collation and management of documents, for internal and external circulation. Other tasks will include supporting with budgets, expenses and invoices, requiring confidence in dealing with numbers, spreadsheets and suppliers.
The role would suit an individual with a strong administration background, who is approachable and organised, has excellent attention to detail, able to work on their own or as part of a team. It involves liaising and following up with all teams, to ensure internal and external stakeholders are communicated to in a timely manner with relevant information. This is an ideal position for someone with excellent Microsoft office skills, strong communication abilities and a genuine interest in making a positive impact. It will cover a variety of duties and afford the successful applicant the opportunity to learn more about the work we do in restoring our natural environment.
To be successful, they will need to be able to multitask, be proactive and have a confident manner, an excellent communicator who is inquisitive and able to work independently. What you will need

What you’ll be doing
- Providing one-to-one support to a small caseload of young people

Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of approx 7-10 young people.
This role's shift work on a 7 day rolling rota.
What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a Support Plan

In this role, you will work within a team to empower residents to access local charities, community groups, and services. About the oppurtunity:
You will help drive the quality and impact of our key stage 2 (KS2) and key stage 4 (KS4) maths tutoring programmes through subject-specific training of volunteer tutors, and by advising and supporting our (mostly) non-teaching staff members who manage these volunteer tutors day to day.
You will also observe and give feedback to volunteer tutors delivering maths tuition, and deliver general training for new volunteers, so that they are confident and effective in taking part in our tutoring programmes.

Specific responsibilities relating to the role:
Supporting the delivery of our maths curriculum:
- Design and deliver online maths-focused training for volunteer tutors so that subject knowledge is secure within the tutor community.
- Provide advice and support, including some direct tutor communications, on subject-specific matters for Action Tutoring staff who manage volunteer tutors.
- Maintain existing tutoring GCSE and KS2 maths curriculum resources to ensure volunteer tutors have high quality materials to use in sessions.
- Support Action Tutoring’s Programme Department to provide and respond to requests for additional materials for tutoring sessions, particularly maths sessions.
- Support with creation of additional maths resources on an ad hoc basis as required, applying Action Tutoring’s pedagogical approach and standards for diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Format any newly generated maths curriculum content for printing.
- Reformat maths curriculum resources for online delivery of tutoring sessions.
- Engage in learning and development opportunities in order to keep knowledge about the expectations set out in the maths national curriculum (KS2 and KS4) and the main exam boards up to date.
Quality assuring tutoring delivery:
- Observe several virtual tutoring sessions a week. Make detailed and unbiased notes on tutor skills, craft empathetic constructive feedback in emails.
- Support our programme delivery team to craft communications and feedback to tutors.
- Produce ‘quality tips’ and resources for tutors and staff.
- Work with Action Tutoring’s volunteer engagement team to feedback trends so that the quality assurance process at the tutor application stage is as strong as possible.
Delivering volunteer tutor training:
- Support the Training Manager by delivering up to four virtual initial tutor training sessions a week during peak months, presenting Action Tutoring’s established training content.
- Support the Training Manager by contributing updates to tutor training content.
- Create content for tutor CPD materials to support with maths tutoring.

Qualifications criteria:
- Qualified secondary school teacher of Mathematics
- At least two year’s teaching experience in English state schools with an understanding of the barriers facing disadvantaged pupils
