About this exciting opportunity
Our successful candidate will be responsible for delivering preventative and early intervention training sessions for groups of children and young people on the risks associated with all aspects of gang involvement, exploitation, and violence.  This will also include establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students to provide emotional support, guidance, and mentorship whilst also advocating for their wellbeing and success and to safeguard, protect and promote the welfare of children and young people. 

We will rely on you to address individual student needs and challenges, utilising personal experiences, local knowledge, professional skills, and SOS+ materials to offer support and intervention and to assist students in setting and achieving academic, personal, and career goals.  Collaborating with professionals to support and develop strategies to minimise the risk to students and developing positive, pro-social attitudes, behaviour, and social skills among students are both vital aspects of this role, as is maintaining accurate records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes and supporting in the collation of evaluative data.

For a leading university in central London, we're recruiting an interim Finance Business Partner for 3-6 months. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will work as a trusted advisor to several non-finance budget holders and academic staff within the faculty and several Corporate / Professional Services areas. The interim Finance Business Partner will manage all areas of their management accounting and financial planning, providing insightful financial information, analysis, and reporting to help with decision-making. This is a key role during a period of change as the University implements Technology One, so experience in this system is highly desirable.

Main Duties:

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts with review and interpretation of results, MI, risks and opportunities for budget holders
• Produce reports and analysis on cost drivers for stakeholders, and provide analysis on complex data sets for decision-making
• Prepare management accounts liaising with the financial accounting team to ensure all transactions and journals are robust and accurate
• Build strong relationships with budget holders, meeting frequently and providing support and decision-making advice
• Produce monthly commentary on the management accounts for budget holder groups
• Prepare and deliver for yearly budget and quarterly forecasting process
• Support the implementation of Technology One, including the roll-out of user training and workshops for budget holders on finance processes

The Role

You’ll be part of Energise Me’s senior leadership team, and lead on the financial management and governance of the charity.

• Plan and co-ordinate annual audit and prepare Energise Me’s annual accounts. Manage external auditors and be the main point of contact for Auditors. Ensure accounts are filed with the Charity Commission on time and lead audit tender process at least every three years
• Manage relationships with external financial providers including banking and investment
• Manage outsourced payroll and ensure charity employees are paid accurately and on time
• Manage Energise Me’s financial and accounting functions and related policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations and procedures (Charity Commission guidelines, HMRC and financial regulations)
• Make sure budgets are managed effectively and in line with overall target/costs
• Exercise strong financial and budget monitoring including preparing quarterly management accounts including balance sheet and SOFA
• Responsible for Financial IT Systems, ensuring they’re fit for purpose and data is accurate and up to date
• Lead, empower, support, develop, coach and mentor the Finance & IT Manager and other team members as required across the organisation

A strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including welfare reform, the Care Act, and housing pathways, is essential. Proficiency in MS Office and case management systems is required, as is the ability to manage basic building safety issues and handle petty cash accurately. World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, including administrative coordination, data management, and frontline communication with participants and referral partners. This forms part of the transformation of mental health services in the London borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan. The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

The integrated team provides brief intervention support to people with mental health problems within a primary care and community mental health setting, helping people develop their independence, self-management skills and achieve their recovery goals.

We have an exciting maternity cover opportunity for a full time Senior Peer Support Coordinator to lead on the development and delivery of mental health peer support in the Bromley Mental Health Hub. You will lead the team, which includes peer support staff and volunteers, and take responsibility for design, coordination and day-to-day delivery of recovery orientated peer support to people with mental health problems on a group and one to one basis.

You will also need a relevant professional qualification in psychology, mental health, addictions, social work, nursing, health & social care, public health, leadership / management or demonstrable relevant experience with a commitment to continuous professional development.

About the role

To promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture and be responsible for the provision of advice, guidance and support for staff and volunteers on all health, safety and wellbeing related matters, including the implementation and application of new and updated legislation, codes of practice, and safe working procedures.

To ensure that health and safety effectively contributes to the Trust’s strategic objectives, to embed best practice across the Trust’s operations, and drive compliance, identifying improvements, and creating a safe, sustainable workplace. The role requires a consultative, collaborative and pragmatic approach to finding solutions and appropriate measures to support the Trust’s day to day activities and improve standards.
