We have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to join our Private Office team and support our three National Officers: the National President, the National Chair and the National Vice Chair.
As Personal Assistant (PA) to the National Officers, you’ll be responsible for delivering first-class executive support, managing complex schedules, coordinating high-level meetings and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the National Officers office within the Private Office team.
You will manage significant internal and external relationships and work closely with our Head of Private Office, Chief of Staff, Governance team and other PAs across RBL to provide coordinated and consistent support. This role will truly see you at the heart of the action, helping to drive success through your exceptional organisational skills and proactive support.

Reporting to our Head of Private Office, key responsibilities will include:

Your ability to work at pace while supporting senior leaders will be second to none and you will have highly effective planning and organisational skills. Experience working in a similar organisation advantageous, though not essential. Most importantly you will have a passion for your work and will be eager to utilise that to support the work of RBL.
You will be contracted to our London, Haig House Hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the Hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.

You’ll act as the central point of coordination, helping us spot potential issues early, avoid duplication, and maximise the overall impact of the Appeal.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity and has a passion for continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with colleagues at all levels from frontline delivery teams to senior stakeholders helping to embed better planning discipline, run cross-team meetings, and drive consistent reporting through RAG status updates and governance packs. You’ll also play a key role in reviewing what’s worked (and what hasn’t), feeding into post-Appeal evaluations, and supporting strategic initiatives as they transition into operational plans.
We’re looking for someone who is calm under pressure, confident working and challenging across multiple teams, and highly organised. You’ll need strong operational planning experience ideally within the charity or non-profit space and a genuine enthusiasm for making things work better. Through strong relationships, the team facilitates the sharing of great practice and ensure that the membership remain compliant. The Membership Engagement Officers (MEOs) are actively engaged within their areas, meeting Branch members, supporting their activities and building a stronger membership fit for the next 100 years.

The Membership Engagement Officer (MEO) is a key role which inspires and engages our membership to be active and fulfil their role and purpose while remaining compliant with the Legion’s Membership handbook and policies. Every day will be different as this role will see you responding to the needs of the individual county of responsibility. It is a challenging and exciting post where no two days will be the same.
You will provide organisational support, advice and information to our members, and work closely with County Committees, the membership central team staff and other departments. This a varied role which covers a range of duties from connecting and building relationships with Branches to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries.

You will be contracted to your home address. You will be expected to work both there and on a mobile basis at other locations in Devon and the Southwest Region with occasional travel (incl. for monthly team meetings) beyond this area.

Some evening and weekend work will be required, including an occasional requirement for some overnight stays.
The successful individual is not permitted to hold a membership officer role in their designated area of work and must hold a full UK driving licence.

C54,000 people volunteered for the Poppy Appeal last year. It’s the largest UK charity appeal (over £51 million), and a treasured moment in society each November where people are given the opportunity to remember. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the appeal; without them there would be no poppies out on the streets and supermarkets.
We're looking for a talented Volunteer Experience Manager to join our Poppy Appeal team someone who can
- Strategically manage and deliver the volunteer experience, maximising engagement and minimising attrition through a best-in-class volunteer journey
- Drive recruitment campaigns to find more volunteers, ensuring full national coverage
- Find easier ways for people to give time, developing audience led propositions that work to engage more people from diverse backgrounds

This is a high-impact role. If you’ve worked on acquisition campaigns, developed retention strategies or led culture change around volunteer involvement we want to hear from you.

You will be contracted to your home address and will carry out the majority of your work remotely, using our collaboration tools to engage with colleagues.
