About the Role
You’ll join our Housing Team to manage tenancies across a patch in either South London or Sussex. Your focus will be on:

Could you be the impactful Programme Director we seek to lead, develop and oversee the delivery of the next stage of the Richmond Group Physical Activity Programme and We Are Undefeatable Campaign (WAU), with a budget of £8m?
This influential post is offered as a fixed-term contract ending March 2028. It will initially involve improving programme oversight and integrating the Physical Activity Programme and the We Are Undefeatable Campaign teams to enhance collaboration and ways of working. The Physical Activity Programme, a partnership with Sport England and the National Lottery, is entering an exciting new phase, which will focus on the evolution of We Are Undefeatable, from Above-The-Line to an 'always on' campaign, expanding our system influencing work, both nationally and at 'place' level, and building a powerful evidence base for how we can support the least active to move more
The role will have overall responsibility for the implementation of the strategic aims of the programme and ensure effective governance, budget oversight, and delivery of the system influencing work and WAU campaign. As Programme Director, you will extensively collaborate at leadership level with existing and new partnerships and stakeholders, parliamentarians and systems leaders to drive impactful interventions.
We operate a hybrid-working model and will require the post holder to be in our central London office a minimum of two days each week. Travel costs to our London office are not covered by the charity.

Essential criteria:
- Proven experience in programme management, ideally within the health sector or physical activity, in a fast-paced organisation Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.

Role purpose
Compass is a service designed to support adults (18 years and over) in H&F and Hounslow. The service provides support with welfare benefits, debt, housing and well-being/peer support groups/workshops.
The role of the Information and Advice Worker will be to provide advice, guidance and customer representation to H&F and Hounslow residents living with mental health problems. Advice issues may include, housing, benefits, council tax, debt, signposting etc.
The successful candidate will deliver support to enquirers and manage a caseload of individuals as agreed with the service manager. In addition to advice casework, the Advice Worker will also be expected to assist onboarding referrals to the service when needed.
The successful candidate will be required to work alongside the Advice Team Leader and volunteers supporting on the project.
The Advice Worker will be required to work within the Advice Quality Standard framework (AQS), adhere to Mind’s policies and procedures.
Due to the nature of the work, if successful, you will need to have an up-to-date DBS check completed prior to undertaking unsupervised client work.
Place of work
The Advice Worker will be required to work both from home and the H&F and Hounslow office when necessary, alongside work in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver support to enquirers and manage a caseload of individuals as agreed with the service manager.

Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a structured programme of enjoyable, recreational, high-quality activities to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities who attend Short Breaks clubs.
- To coordinate and take responsibility for the planning, allocation of places, and sufficient staffing to ensure safe delivery of Short Breaks clubs.

Purpose of the post
This role will have a particular focus on managing the HDRUK contribution to our partnership with the EPSRC Digital Health Hubs in the South West and Wales (LEAP) and the North West and North Cumbria (NortHfutures) which aim to drive innovation in digital health by promoting knowledge and skills sharing across healthcare, academia and business but there will be opportunities and a requirement to contribute to the wider training offer and strategy. World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.

We are now expanding our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa holder (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.
We are recruiting Cantonese speaking Employment Advisors to join the STEP team delivering this new programme. You will provide high quality advice and guidance through 1:1 employability support and group employability workshops with the aim of coaching individuals and supporting them on their journey into employment that suits their previous experience and skill set.
You will prepare participants for employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will monitor and encourage participants’ engagement and attendance in all aspects of the programme. Reporting to: Co-Head of Casework
Hours of work: 35 hours (5 days per week)
Salary: £30,000 - £31,500 per annum
Areas of responsibility
The post holder will be responsible for the following:
- Providing a specialist advice and advocacy service to the homeless guests of our services, which include partner day centres and night shelters through the winter season.
- Employing creative thinking and practices to ensure that guests are supported and motivated to achieve their goals.
- Attending appointments with guests occasionally when needed
- Referring and signposting guests to accommodation providers, health services and other relevant internal and external support services, as necessary
- Maintaining good communication with the Managers of our partnered Drop-in Centres, Glass Door colleagues and local statutory and non-statutory services.
- Attending meetings with the casework team, external service providers and partner organisations when required
- Collating statistics and outcome measurements of the casework service for both internal and external use
- Maintaining a well-organised and easily accessible administration system for the casework programme in line with relevant legislation (e.g. GDPR)
- Managing a small casework budget
- Undertaking any other duties, as required by the charity
Person Specification
Essential
- At least one year experience of working one-on-one and assessing the needs of homeless people or similar disadvantaged client groups
- Empathetic attitude to homeless and vulnerably housed people
- Up-to-date knowledge of the welfare issues and legislation affecting homeless people
- Knowledge of relevant support services available to homeless people, particularly in West London
- Confident approach to, and experience of, dealing with challenging behaviour
- Ability to maintain good relationships with colleagues and external service providers
- Highly organised with strong time-management skills
- Ability to keep clear and up-to-date case records
- Experience and competent in MS Office packages
- Ability to work independently and take the initiative to make important decisions
- Flexible and supportive team member with excellent communication skills
- Ability to adhere to and implement Health & Safety, HR and operational policies
- Understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities
- For night shelter caseworkers, willingness to work a minimum of one evening per week
- This post will require an enhanced DBS check prior and during employment
Desirable
- Ability to speak Polish, Romanian or other Eastern European languages
- Experience of working alongside volunteers
