Community & Volunteer Manager
Annual Salary - £29,000 – £33,000
Weekly Hours - 35 hours (full time)
Reporting To - Community & Events Manager
Contract Type - Permanent
Work Location - Primarily based in Guildford (GU1 1TU) with flexible work options.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll lead and grow our community fundraising activity — building strong relationships with schools, local groups, and volunteers to help us raise vital funds. You’ll plan and deliver community events, support third-party fundraisers, and be a friendly, visible presence at public events. You’ll also manage our amazing volunteers, creating engaging opportunities and making sure everyone feels valued and supported
You’ll Be Great If...
• Know your stuff when it comes to community fundraising, supporter journeys, and volunteer engagement.
• Have a track record of smashing fundraising targets and running brilliant campaigns or events.
• Love building relationships and can connect with anyone — from volunteers to VIP donors.
• Can juggle projects, use data to guide decisions, and stay cool when deadlines are looming.
• Are tech-savvy, creative with tools like Canva and CRM systems, and happy to travel for the cause.

Prisoners Abroad is a small but powerful organisation supporting people through some of the most isolating and traumatic experiences imaginable. Whether it’s someone surviving a prison sentence overseas, returning to the UK with nothing, or a family facing the distress of having a family member imprisoned abroad, your work here will have a direct and lasting impact.
A fantastic opportunity has opened up to lead and grow a well-established major donor programme. Working closely with our Head of Giving & Communications, you’ll manage and develop relationships with high-net-worth individuals, craft compelling cases for support, and deliver thoughtful stewardship that makes donors feel truly valued and connected. You’ll also have the chance to shape how we grow our pipeline, with support from a team that values creativity, emotional intelligence and collaboration, so plenty of opportunities to get creative and make your mark.
With experience of securing 4–5 figure gifts and a flair for building meaningful relationships, you’ll be a confident communicator with strong writing skills, and you’ll enjoy using insight to create personal donor journeys that inspire generosity.

Our Finance Manager is an essential part of the LRMN team. You will work with colleagues to set and manage budgets, maintain accurate financial records, manage all donor management activities, oversee our banking and ensure all financial and compliance requirements are met. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a committed and passionate organisation.
LRMN is a thriving organisation and one of the most established refugee and migrants’ organisations providing services in London but focusing on south and southeast London boroughs. Our services include provision of specialist legal advice and information on immigration, housing and welfare, therapeutic and practical support to women who survived trauma, helping our service users access employment, training and volunteering opportunities, prevention of mental health problems, and helping our clients integrate and engage in their community.
We are currently working in a hybrid model. You would be expected to work at least one to two days/week from our office in Deptford.
