Who we are

What we do: we partner with schools, universities and businesses to run face-to-face and virtual coaching programmes for disadvantaged young people with relatable role models who are just a few years ahead in their life journey, we help raise their confidence, independence, resiliance and attainment. Our coahes are typically undergraduate volunteers or senior pupils in schools who we train and support to become effective coaches.
The Challenge
By the age of 5, 43% of disadvantaged young people have not reached a good level of literacy and numeracy.
57% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary schools without reaching the expected standard in reading and maths.
A disadvantaged child is 50% less likely to achieve passes in GCSE English and Maths.
Only 16% of Free School Meal eligible young people attend university, compared to more than 75% of those who attend an independent school.
1 in 3 young people frpm disadvantaged backgrounds are not in any form of sustained education, apprenticship or employment five years after their GCSEs.
1 in 5 undergraduates from disadvantaged backgrounds don't complete their degree, double the rate for the most advantaged.
Those in elite occupations from disadvantaged backgrounds earn £6,400 per year less in the same role, and take 25% longer to gain a promotion.
Our Impact
We have been delivering coaching programmes across England since 2014, supporting over 15,000 young people in that time. We have a small but growing number of programmes directly coaching undergraduates from underrepresented backgrounds (our Lifecycle programme). However, the majority of our work and impact takes place in schools, involving us training undergraduates (our Core programme) or senior pupils (our Peer to Peer programme) to be coaches to younger pupils.
We are proud that our programmes demonstrate consistently strong impact on the outcomes most closely associated with improving social mobility: attainment, social & emotional development, and school attendance.
Our most recent independent evaluation found:
Increases in maths (11.1%) and English (5.1%) attainment.
Significant improvements (min 8%) in metacognition, self-efficacy, and motivation.
Persistently absent pupils’ school attendance increased by 11%!

Our Team
We are a small but mighty team, with a mixture of experiences including youth work, teaching, music, finance, social work and many others. Although our backgrounds and skills may be different, what we have in common is a commitment to our core values, and a belief that our work can - and does - change young people’s lives.

Role description
In the 25/26 academic year, we will be expanding our work significantly, supporting close to 3,000 young people from Cornwall to Northumberland. The majority of this growth will be through a one-year project we are running in partnership with the Education Endowment Foundation.
This project is a randomised control trial (RCT) of our Peer to Peer coaching programme, where we will be working with an additional 50 new secondary schools. We have seen consistently strong impact from this programme on the attainment, social & emotional development, and school attendance of disadvantaged young people for many years. This EEF supported RCT now gives us the opportunity to test this impact at significant scale, specifically on the maths attainment, maths self-efficacy, and school attendance of disadvantaged Y10 and Y7 pupils (see here for more details).
To support with this delivery, we are looking to recruit additional fixed-term (October 2025 - July 2026) Programme Managers, both full and part time, in the following regions:

South West (including Cornwall and Plymouth) Part time, 2-3 days per week

South East England (including Greater London, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent, Berkshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Milton Keynes) Full time

North West (including Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Cheshire) Part time, 3-4 days per week

North East (including Northumberland, Newcastle, Tyneside and Teesside) Part time, 2-3 days per week
You will have end-to-end ownership of your own allocation of programmes, which may involve a mixture of Peer to Peer, Core and Lifecycle programmes. Whilst delivering our programmes you will be required to build excellent relationships with our school and university partners, support with training and developing our undergraduate volunteers, use our evaluation frameworks to assess impact, and lead on conversations related to retention and expansion.
Candidates should be able to cover all locations in the given region they are applying for, so access to a car would be an advantage, but is not essential. At times team members may be asked to travel to a location outside of their region, but this will be rare and sufficient notice and TOIL will be given where appropriate.
All roles are on fixed term contracts starting Monday 6th October 2025 and finishing 31st July 2026. The majority of direct delivery in schools will begin early November. The first few weeks in the role will combine a mixture of induction, training, programme observations, programme set up, and volunteer recruitment for our Core programmes.
Whilst there is the potential for a permanent role beyond the length of this project, this will be based on our levels of school retention and business development, and so cannot be guaranteed.

Managing and delivering programmes

Coordinate and run multiple in-school and online programmes, typically requiring travel to schools most working days.

Set timelines for programme start and finish dates.

Oversee programme quality and communicate with school staff weekly to provide feedback after sessions.

Facilitate in-school or digital workshops for groups of pupils (KS1-5).

Plan and organise graduation trips to a local university for pupils on the programme.

Ensure retention of schools and universities within the region by delivering high quality programmes, and leading retention, renewal, and expansion conversations with partners.

Support the growth of our network of schools, Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), Local Education Authorities, and universities in your region.

Contribute to programme design, take part in a working group and whole team meetings.

Gather and create content for social media and marketing materials.

Person Specification
Essential characteristics and experience
Below are the key attributes candidates will need to be confident of demonstrating.

Passion for social mobility. We have big aims and are looking for those who share our desire to make education fairer in the UK.
-
Ability to think on your feet. Delivering programmes with young people can be unpredictable, so you will need to be comfortable working reactively to solve challenges at short notice.

Programme or project management experience. In particular the ability to be organised, plan ahead, and manage competing priorities and timelines.
-
Experience with young people. Comfortable running a session or delivering a workshop with a group of young people from age 8-18. (Please note, the vast majority of our programmes are at secondary phase).

Relationship building and facilitating. This is a public-facing role so you will be involved in communicating and delivering workshops to groups as well as communicating our mission to a wide range of stakeholders (business leaders, senior members of MATs, universities etc.).

Excellent communication skills, particularly public speaking. You should be comfortable talking to groups of 5 or 500.

Ability to make quick and clear decisions.
Desired characteristics and experience

This is a key role driving the delivery of the Education Programme of a leading mental health charity focused on supporting the systems around children and young people. We are looking for a compassionate, flexible and focused professional with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of managing a complex and substantial portfolio of work, who is eager to work with the CWT team to achieve meaningfully.
The Education Programme Manager’s workload includes supporting a small Education team to deliver specific projects; delivering key organisational projects directly; managing programme level work; liaising with the Education trainers; and supporting Education-related work across the Trust – from fundraising to reporting. We anticipate this role will provide the opportunity for the successful candidate to grow into the staff team's ‘education specialist’, by keeping abreast of key sector developments, while retaining a keen understanding of when further specialist input would be helpful.
The role would suit someone with a driven interest in ensuring our work is as impactful as possible, someone who is a ‘doer’ and a broker of relationships, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of people including clinicians and those with lived experience.
Key responsibilities and duties

Work with the Head of Programmes and a wide range of stakeholders, including trainers and clinicians, to lead and support on the planning and delivery of a range of projects, from initiation to close, including establishing and managing risk, quality assurance and monitoring and evaluation measures.

Prepare reports on Education programme’s progress for a variety of stakeholders including the Board of Trustees, the CEO and senior managers, the staff team, funders and other stakeholders.

Work in collaboration with colleagues with lived experience of mental health difficulties, ensuring their voice is central to our work.

Ensure that considerations of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility are incorporated meaningfully across the Education programme delivery.

Support and retain oversight of the Clinical Lead’s quality assurance of the Education trainers on an annual basis, or other frequency as agreed.

Support CWT’s Fundraising team to identify potential funding opportunities within the Education programme, and at times support bid development by developing viable project proposals swiftly.

Develop and maintain a strategic overview of ‘the Education landscape’ so as to:

advise the CEO and Head of Programmes of key developments that will help shape the Education programme’s future direction (alongside freelance experts who are further embedded into specific areas within education), and

to represent the Trust externally and developing our reach, impact and credibility in new areas, so as to help CWT achieve the growth strategy laid out in our Strategic Business Plan (currently 2025-27).

Work with other teams within the Trust to identify opportunities for cross programme working to develop engagement with our information, training and services.

Manage a small Education team to deliver effectively and efficiently; while supporting their development, embodying a collaborative and supportive leadership culture in line with the Trust’s values.

Approve Education programme expenditure as per a delegated budget, including querying unexpected expenditure and highlighting anomalies to the Finance team; and supporting budget development and reforecasting processes by offering a key ‘front line’ perspective on priorities and costs.

The role and your key responsibilities
As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and colleges, and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across all year groups.
You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner schools and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week). Please note you will need to be based in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, or North London for this role.

About the role
Join Sustrans’ Active Journeys team and help shape healthier, happier communities by making walking, wheeling, and cycling a natural choice for everyday journeys.
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with schools and local communities across the North and Midlands, identifying ways to transform streets and public spaces into safer, more welcoming environments for active travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver behaviour change projects and activities that promote walking, wheeling, and cycling within schools and local communities.
- Plan, organise and deliver (with urban design team) co-design sessions for pupils, parents and the wider school community.
- Build strong, effective relationships with local leaders, authorities, and other key stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor colleagues and volunteers involved in project delivery.
The are two roles available, one role at 22.5 hours per week and the other role at 30 hours per week.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.
About you

Energy Sparks is an online energy management tool and energy education programme specifically designed to help schools reduce their electricity and gas usage through the analysis of smart meter data. Energy Sparks helps pupils and the wider school community to reduce their school’s carbon emissions, and make a real contribution to addressing the 'climate emergency'. Energy Sparks started in 2017 in Bath, and is now working with over 1000 schools across the UK.

About the Project
This is a five-year collaborative initiative between the Young Hammersmith & Fulham and the Young Ealing Foundation to support supplementary schools across both boroughs. The project has two main components:

As Digital Growth Manager, you’ll lead our digital performance strategy across paid media, funnel optimisation, supporter journeys, and CRO. You’ll manage multi-channel campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, TikTok and beyond maximising ROI on a lean budget while scaling impact.
You know how to build journeys that move people across awareness, engagement, and giving and use data to drive every decision. Key Responsibilities
Performance-Led Growth Strategy
- Drive measurable supporter acquisition, engagement, and retention across digital channels.
- Optimise marketing funnels for conversion across landing pages, forms, email journeys, and remarketing.
- Test, learn, and scale what works applying a performance mindset to everything from ad variants to user flows.
Paid Media Campaigns
- Plan and manage digital campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, YouTube, TikTok, and other emerging platforms.
- Execute campaigns focused on donor acquisition, lead generation, and income growth.
- Monitor and improve ROAS with agility, creativity, and cost-efficiency on a lean nonprofit budget.
Data & Analytics
- Use GA4, Meta Business Suite, and dashboards to analyse behaviour, report performance, and inform decisions.
- Run A/B tests, track CTRs/conversions, and apply insights to continually refine digital performance.
- Integrate CRM/email journey data with paid media for a full-picture view of campaign effectiveness.
Supporter-Facing Journey Design
- Understand and align messaging across the full donor lifecycle from acquisition to retention.
- Work closely with Product, Digital, Partnerships, and Programmes teams to maintain consistent messaging across every touchpoint.
- Collaborate on landing page optimisation, lead nurturing sequences, and re-engagement strategies.
Digital Budget & Strategy Ownership
- Develop and manage paid media budgets, allocating spend based on channel performance and campaign needs.
- Forecast campaign ROI and contribute to broader strategic planning around supporter growth and digital reach.
- Apply attribution insights to demonstrate digital’s impact on income and supporter value.
AI & Automation Integration
- Use AI tools for automation, campaign testing, variant creation, and supporter journey improvements.
- Confidently integrate AI-generated content/ad formats without compromising on tone or brand quality.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with in-house creatives, agencies, and freelance teams to execute campaigns with precision.
- Brief clearly, feedback constructively, and keep timelines tight across stakeholders.

The Programme Manager role
Due to the continued expansion and sustainability of our programmes, we are seeking a new team member to support our next period of growth into the 2025-2026 academic year.
You will be a consumate account manager to support our skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions access a range of TTF educational programmes.
What you will be doing
- Management of multiple projects and events
- Team management to deliver programmes (proven experience of line managing direct reports)
- Building exceptional relationships with partners, teachers and volunteers

*Hybrid working
This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and will join Team Together Days in a co-working space in London 2-3 individual days each month. These days are considered commuting days. You do not need to live in London to apply for this role, but you will need to consider what you feel is a reasonable commuting distance and to be able to attend our team days in London. Two Rhythms is seeking a dynamic Business Manager to spearhead their operational and financial success, ensuring the charity's sustainability and growth. This pivotal role involves driving earned income, managing financial health, and expanding the reach of their therapeutic arts programs across South Wales and the UK.
The Business Manager will oversee the operational and financial management of the charity, ensuring the organisation is efficient, sustainable, and aligned with its mission. They will focus on earned income generation and working to increase it in line with the business plan. They will be outward-facing, generating new business with local authorities, care providers, schools, hospitals and hospices. They will work closely with the CEO, and Head of Programme to introduce the 2R programme to new guests across South Wales, and with the Membership Officer to extend our membership programme across the UK.
The Business Manager will play a crucial role in managing the charity's financial health, ensuring resources are effectively utilised to support its mission and goals. This hands-on role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance while supporting their leadership team colleagues with financial insights and strategies.
They will prepare reports for the management team, CEO and Trustees as required and they will liaise with our external accountants, helping to prepare annual accounts and other statutory documents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL
1. Business and Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across departments.
- Design and implement new processes to monitor trading performance.
- To act a responsible point of contact for managing day-to-day facilities and building issues.
- Management of external contracts relating to facilities and running of the organisation.
- Review environmental considerations of the organisation in-line with the requirements and policies of our funders, landlords and partner organisations.
- Support the administration of session bookings, liaising with finance and management colleagues.
2. Compliance and Governance:
- Working as part of the charity’s Safeguarding team helping to ensure best practice across the charity’s activities and operations. (Appropriate training will be provided)
- Ensure the charity complies with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage risk and protect the charity’s financial reputation and assets.
- Maintain accurate records and policies, working closely with trustees or board members.
FINANCE
3. Financial Management and Planning:
- Prepare and manage budgets in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Monitor and control income and expenditure to ensure financial sustainability.
- Develop financial forecasts and plans to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage invoicing, liaising with external clients and contractors with respect to debt management, reviewing and improving booking processes where necessary.
4. Accounting and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee day-to-day bookkeeping.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.
- Produce annual financial statements and manage the year-end accounting process.
5. Donor and Grant Management:
- Track restricted and unrestricted funding, ensuring proper allocation and reporting.
- Provide financial reports and updates for donors and grant applications.
PEOPLE
6. Supporting Stakeholders:
- Work closely with trustees and the senior leadership team, providing clear insights.
- Contribute to the charity's overall strategic planning and growth.
- Attend board meetings, ensuring accurate minutes and record keeping.
7. Leadership and Team Support:
- Work closely with Senior Management colleagues to provide strategic advice and insights.
- Manage and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Lead by example, promoting the charity’s values and mission in all actions.
COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY
- Work with the team to drive sales, pursue new clients and increase the charity’s earned income, collaborating with Programme, Membership and Marketing colleagues and the CEO to further the charity’s work.
- Lead on our engagement with the health and social care sector, including private and public organisations.
- Assist the CEO in submitting reports to funders, regulatory bodies, and trustees.
- Support the development of funding proposals with accurate financial input.
- Assist the CEO in building relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including corporate and commercial clients.
