This role is for a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Kent Talking Therapies service.
Because we want them to be the best PWPs that they can be, we are proud to provide our PWPs with the following:
- Clinical and case management supervision, 4 weekly reflective practice groups and group supervision, additional ad hoc supervision, which is above and beyond the National Talking Therapies recommended amount
- A supportive Step 2 Clinical Lead team that advocate for clinical excellence and incorporate our therapists views into service change
- Deliver an in house high quality monthly CPD programme covering a range of topics such as refreshers of key PWP interventions, working with clients from neurodivergent and LGBTQI+ communities.
- Career development opportunities such as accessing Long-Term Conditions or PWP Supervisor training, becoming a Champion, or applying for roles such as Step 2 Manager or Step 2 Clinical Lead
- We also lead interface meetings with Secondary Care services, to improve client journey
- As an extra bonus we will also pay the yearly fees for your BABCP registration
- We can consider different flexible working arrangements regardless of the length of service. This could look like condensed working patterns or moving working hours to support responsibilities, such as collecting your children from school.
We’re recruiting experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join our WithYou NHS Talking Therapies service in Kent to provide high volume low intensity interventions based on self management interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, deliver computerised CBT through Silvercloud and carrying out patient centred assessments. To apply for this role, you should have, or be soon to complete training in CBT based low intensity interventions and hold BABCP or BPS accreditation (or eligibility towards obtaining the Accreditation). We are looking for an individual with previous experience of carrying out assessments related to mental health and working with clients experiencing anxiety and depression, in a Talking Therapies service.

Additional Information:
This is a permanent full time role for 37.5 hours per week. The position will be home based, but travel within Kent will be needed for in person client work in the community, team training and meetings. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Social Prescriber to join our team in Merton.
The Merton Social Prescribing service is one of the most established and mature services in the UK and is celebrating its 7th anniversary this year. We are seeking an individual to join our successful service in Southwest London. This role will help to strengthen the links between Primary Care, voluntary and public services to improve patients’ health and wellbeing.
You will support patients within Primary Care GP practices in Merton, and you will support each patient to access appropriate services provided by voluntary and community organisations and other agencies. We expand the options available in Primary Care by creating a ‘managed’ way for referrals of patients with social, emotional and/or practical needs to a variety of local non-clinical services in the community. These include leisure, social activities, education, welfare, housing and employment advice and support.

In this varied and rewarding role you will engage, motivate and support young carers and in doing so you will make a real difference to young carers within Surrey.
You will be based at our offices in Burpham, Guildford for approximately one day a fortnight, with access to hotdesking at any time. Your remaining working hours will be spent engaging with young carers within youth settings, schools or other settings or undertaking planning/recording work from home. You will be need to be available during times that children and young people are available, and this includes planned evening and weekend work.
We are a Surrey wide service, our team work collaboratively to cover the county and for efficiency, your work will be focused in a specific geographical area. This is a fixed term role to cover a maternity leave.
Key responsibilities
- To complete an assessment of need with young carers and provide signposting advocacy and support.
- To work in schools/colleges to increase the identification and support of young carers.
- To provide regular and on-going time out and fun club sessions for young carers to meet others in similar situations and have a break from their caring role.
- To update the database and SYC webpages– for example to update young carers records and update details of planned youth clubs.
- To provide signposting and advocacy to Young Carers and their families.
- To facilitate bespoke sessions for 16-17 year olds.
- To facilitate a program of on-line activities (i.e. via zoom) to young carers.
About you
You must:
- Be confident in encouraging children, young people and their parents/carers to engage with our activities.
- Have experience of working with children, young people and families. e.g. in youth services /voluntary sector / social work settings.
- Have awareness of issues surrounding Young Carers.
- Have a flexible approach to working hours, as regular planned weekend and evening work is required.
- Have an ability to form good working relationships with young people and their families.
- Have experience recording case notes and information about children and young people. Have a good professional knowledge of standard Microsoft packages and databases
- Have a driving license and use of own vehicle. Mileage expenses are paid.
The successful applicants will be DBS checked to an Enhanced level.
