An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative, skilled and proactive Digital Engagement Coordinator to join our team in this new role as we expand our digital presence to inpsire wider audiences to take part in our international volunteering programme. We are looking for an imaginative communicator with a flair for social media and content creation who will play a pivotal role in raising the profile of our charity and developing our brand awareness. A key focus for the role is to expand our engagement with new audiences.
The role is home-based with some UK travel and the occasional requirement to work evenings and weekends.
Main areas of responsibility include:
· Create inspiring and innovative digital content and campaigns across multiple channels, including website, social media and newsletters, with the aim of increasing engagement with new audiences and recruiting Volunteer applicants
· Day-to-day management of digital communication channels and platforms
· Use of analytics and social media techniques to grow engagement across our website and social media channels
· Commission content such as blogs, video and case studies for our channels and curate our library of digital content
· Contribute to the development and implementation of Project Trust’s digital engagement and recruitment strategy

About the role:
We are looking for a Community Liaison to support and empower communities across the UK to be more stoma friendly and provide better support to those living with a stoma. We are a national charity and want to enable individuals, support groups, hospitals and other organisations to collaborate locally and your role will be to facilitate and encourage this.
You will be an ambassador for Colostomy UK, speaking on our behalf, promoting our support services, activities, and campaigns nationwide. Identifying and detecting opportunities for the development and growth of our charity will be an exciting part of this role, alongside ensuring we are reaching as many beneficiaries as possible that want or need our support.
This role is remote, with extensive UK wide travel. Most of your time will be out and about meeting people, so if you are a confident driver with access to your own car for business use, this would be an advantage. This role may involve overnight stays, early mornings, evenings and weekends so flexibility is a must. You will spend 1 or 2 days a month working at our Head Office, RG41.
You’ll need to have a naturally confident and amicable demeanour, with the ability to build rapport and long-lasting meaningful relationships with professionals across different industries and individuals within the community. You’ll have strong organisational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and manage a busy diary that takes you across the country. As an excellent communicator with strong ability to influence, you’ll be comfortable networking and delivering training to large groups of people. You’ll be resourceful, proactive and efficient, with a flexible community-oriented approach.
Core role responsibilities
· Develop strategies and activities to enable us to engage all demographics in the communities.
· Develop, maintain, and build key relationships with stoma care nurses, support groups and individuals in the stoma community.
· Support individuals to set up support groups in their area and act as a mentor to help them develop and grow the group, ensuring that we have a strong presence across the UK.
· Facilitate dialogue and community collaboration between local organisations; schools/ universities, businesses, charities and individuals.
· Work closely with event organisers and our Volunteers Manager to ensure we are represented at stoma open days, fundraising events and local events.
· Manage the delivery of our face-to-face and virtual active ostomates, and care workshop programmes.
· Develop, manage and deliver Stoma Awareness Training to an array of organisations looking to upskill their staff. This includes upskilling our volunteer team to be able to also deliver this training nationwide.
· Identify local fundraising opportunities and discuss potential opportunities with the Fundraising Manager.
· Support the Volunteer Manager to develop and deliver the volunteer and engagement strategy for mutual volunteer support, working closely with them regarding volunteer roles and their requirements.
· Work with the CEO and Marketing & Campaigns Manager to ensure representation at different meetings and forums across the UK.
· Write and present regular reports for team, management and board meetings.

Your purpose
To deliver a high quality experience to schools in your region through expert relationship management, driving high levels of engagement, retention and renewal and enabling our membership to have the greatest impact in each Voice 21 Oracy School.
Your responsibilities
Relationship management and network

Build and manage strong relationships with member schools and key stakeholders across your region in order to add value to their membership, driving engagement, long term loyalty and ultimately impact in our schools.

Use your regional budget and your understanding of member schools in your region to create ‘wow moments’ across the membership journey (e.g. dropping in to meet with key stakeholders or sending free tickets to a school for an event).

Manage group projects in your region, including sending communications, project planning and reporting to group commissioners or funders.

Represent Voice 21 effectively to external audiences in meetings and events (e.g. virtual webinars to support schools as they start their membership or progress meetings with group project commissioners).

Develop our school network in your region (e.g. organising and delivering regional network events), using this to enhance school experience and act as a tool for growth, value and retention.

Identify and develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders in your region in order to understand the educational landscape and work with colleagues in the Engagement (Growth) team to strengthen and grow our network.
School journey and experience

Provide an excellent customer experience for member schools and key stakeholders (e.g. Local Authorities and Multi-Academy Trusts) from sign up through to renewal, acting as the first point of contact for your Voice 21 Oracy Schools.

Own the membership journey and school experience for your region, including the underlying processes, activities and comms that support their membership.

Gain frontline insights from listening to member schools in your region - collect, track and analyse data about their patterns of behaviour and use these insights to improve their experience.

Use your understanding of our membership offer to support and guide schools in your region to access member benefits that best meet their needs, are most impactful for their students and steward them towards accreditation (e.g. use diagnostic tools to set action plans for the membership year and signpost to Voice 21 products, resources and events).

Bring together data (from our CRM system, our Programme team and impact and engagement monitoring) to understand and own the ‘complete picture’ of each school’s member journey in your region - use insights to manage and increase engagement; proactively share insights gained, internally (e.g. with the Programme team about attendance or school feedback) and externally (reporting to a group project commissioner or funder).

Position
The Digital Marketing Manager plays a key role in contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the charity across all digital channels and audiences. They are a data-driven decision maker, with a history of driving growth, who is comfortable championing new ideas and experimenting and optimising to drive projects forward.

Responsibilities:
Strategic purpose:
Lead the charity’s digital marketing strategy, leveraging the full digital suite to expand our reach, drive conversions, build brand awareness and promote retention of our existing stakeholder audiences.
Drive continual optimisation and progression of our ‘Always-on’ owned channel engagement plans to support user acquisition and engagement.
Monitor and develop regular audits on competitor activity and best practice across all platforms.
Engagement:
Work closely with the in-house MarComms team and external suppliers to implement key acquisition and retention initiatives to build our audiences with a specific focus on employer and educator acquisition
Work closely with the Content Manager and Lead Designer on brand digital marketing campaigns including paid social, VOD, digital display, online content partnerships, etc.

Duties and responsibilities

Can you make sure that kinship carers in England receive high quality, user centred training online and in person?
About the role
We have been awarded the Department for Education contract to deliver high quality training to kinship carers across England. You will be responsible for delivering high quality online and face-to-face training and managing a team of inhouse facilitators and external partners.
This is a new team so you will need to be someone who is comfortable with a high level of ambiguity and who is able to build outcome and target driven services from a user centred approach. We have a lot to do over the next 18 months.
From April 2024 to March 2025, your team will need to deliver exceptional training to 4,000 kinship carers in England through in person and online sessions. These are divided into introductory and advanced training. We will be delivering at least 16 roadshows across England so travel will be required in this role. In person training will also involve experiential learning in peer support groups and community venues. Introductory training will be delivered in-house.
You will also work with external expert facilitators and partners to develop new advanced training sessions and modules. Subject experts within Kinship, will also deliver training and you will need to ensure content and delivery meets a consistent standard.
The right person will need to work collaboratively with colleagues across Kinship and be used to working in cross-functional teams. You’ll need to be curious, detail orientated with an improvement mindset.

Role Overview
The Programme Associate delivers Facing History training and support to educators, helps to build and engage our network of teachers and, using Facing History’s pedagogical framework, creates clear and accessible curriculum materials and resources.
The Programme Associate will initially be managed by the Executive Director and be accountable to our Senior Programme Associate (responsible for programme delivery) and Senior Curriculum Developer (responsible for developing and adapting educational resources) respectively for work that falls into their areas of responsibility.
This post holder will be required to attend meetings in London and there will be travel across the UK. Proximity to good transport links is therefore essential.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
Working alongside the programme team, the postholder will have the following key duties and responsibilities:

Programme Delivery: planning, preparing for and delivering training for educators both online and in person.

Teacher Community Support and Engagement: creating relationships with teachers across our community, and running events and opportunities for them to engage more effectively with the organisation. Supporting evaluation and monitoring of the work, utilising relationships with teachers to secure their participation in surveys, focus groups and evaluation studies, as needed. Programme Partnerships: alongside the Senior Programme Associate identifying and developing partnerships with schools, academy trusts (England), regional bodies and third sector organisations who can help to disseminate our work and become potential delivery partners.

Content Development: alongside the Senior Curriculum Developer, developing web- and print-based content for teachers and students, including lesson plans, units, study guides, and other resources. Researching, writing, and summarising complex histories to provide context for resources. Maintaining knowledge and expertise in best practices in teaching, pedagogy, and assessment, and ensuring those practices are reflected as appropriate in Facing History content. Providing content for our Ideas This Week website page and providing other means of supporting teachers to respond to current events in their classrooms. In conjunction with the Programme Administrator write / review content for Facing History UK social media activity linked to existing and newly developed resources.
Other: contributing to the smooth operation and effectiveness of the charity as part of a small team, representing the charity at events and conferences as required, and supporting the work of other members of the team as reasonably required.
