About the role

Head of IT for an ambitious and fast-growing charity, with technology at the heart of how they deliver social impact.  Robust systems and digital capability are essential in ensuring they can carry out their mission and will be at the heart of their continuing impressive growth plans.

The new role of Head of IT provides operational and strategic leadership across all technology, digital, and data services. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, this is a high-visibility leadership role with real influence, supporting the Executive Team, Trustees, and wider organisation to make the most of digital innovation while ensuring robust governance, security, and value for money.

The Head of IT will shape and deliver our IT and digital strategy, oversee infrastructure and systems, and champion the responsible use of data and emerging technologies (including AI) to support operational excellence, and future growth. Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the IT and digital strategy in line with organisational goals.
• Ensure reliable, secure, and cost-effective systems, infrastructure, and processes (AWS, Salesforce. M365).
• Oversee data governance, analytics, and reporting, encouraging a data-informed culture.
• Drive responsible adoption of new technologies, including AI, balancing innovation with risk.
• Lead on cyber security, business continuity, and risk management.
• Provide responsive, high-quality IT support and training to build confidence and capacity across teams.

• Proven experience in IT leadership, ideally within the charity, not-for-profit, or public sector.

About the Role

To work as part of a team that delivers an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community-based accommodation. Our work is underpinned by the Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of this is to ensure that every client leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for managing the building to ensure that the accommodation provided to the clients is safe and secure through the provision of overnight concierge service, security and door control. This includes controlling access to buildings, being the first point of contact for all emergencies and carrying out Health and Safety checks and cleaning.

Key responsibilities include:

• You will always ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable.
• You will provide a basic first contact advice response and security service at night to clients living in the property and/or in dispersed accommodation linked to the service
• You will be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors or services visiting the building at night
• You will be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety standards on the premises and a point of information for clients regarding Health and Safety at night
• You will actively ensure the security of the building through regular checks, and monitoring.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use or care leavers.
• Experience in managing the overnight safety of vulnerable clients preferably in supported housing.
• Good written and spoken communication skills to ensure the accurate handover of information both verbally and in writing between shifts.
• Experience in undertaking basic maintenance and/or delivering cleaning services.

About the role

We are excited to be recruiting for an Access Projects Officer to join the Access Projects team. 

The Access Projects team oversees the development and delivery of bespoke access projects in collaboration with other institutions (typically universities and schools).  Projects are designed to meet the needs and context of a partner institution and underrepresented groups of students. Role purpose

RISE strives for a world where people , including children and young people, can lead safe, purposeful lives as a result of better relationships within families and communities; where harmful behaviour is marginalised and fewer people , including children and young people, are victims of crime. In order to create safe communities, RISE empowers people to break their cycle of harmful behaviour. RISE’s programmes challenge attitudes and facilitate long-lasting behaviour change and are driven by the belief that people , including children and young people, can make better decisions, given the right support. RISE are specialists in designing and delivering evidence-based, transformative behaviour change courses within the criminal justice system and wider community.
 

With the main objectives of reducing re-offending and helping to protect the public, the RISE practitioner will deliver a range of interventions (individual and group), that RISE may design, commission or be commissioned to deliver in the future, both in the community and in custody.

The main purpose of this role is to support and assist Facilitators, Advanced Practitioner,  Responsible Officers and Service managers  in the administration of the Domestic Abuse contracts delivery by co-ordinating project resources such as people and equipment. The post holder will also be responsible for maintaining information systems linked to specific DA contracts.
 

Key duties and accountabilities

• To undertake a range of administrative duties, including log on cases, tracking and issuing documents to clients.
• Be adept in managing a new client based system.
• Working closely with practitioners to facilitate and schedule service users onto courses or appointments or chasing information.
• Drafting documentation where appropriate under direction from the Service Manager.
• Communicate with referrers, specifically social workers, mental health provoiders.
• Maintaining excellent filing and records of case files to ensure effective recording on attendance and completion of courses.
• Ensure the team has excellent administrative support across all projects.
• Help manage communications both within the project team and between the project teams and project delivery partners.
• To ensure that all contractual information is recorded, updated and accessible.
• Work with  Team leader and Service Manager and practitioners to support the scheduling of and take the initiative/decisions of assigning service users to relevant groups/1-2-1 sessions based on outcome of assessment.
• Keep any relevant records for audit compliance.
• Collate information and complete the monthly/quarterly KPI data reports required by commissioning partner as stated within each individual contract.
•  Provide excellent customer service and be the first point of contact for telephone communication for our commissioning partners, service users and families and transfer enquiry to appropriate staff member if unable to resolve query themselves.
• Be solution focused and able to troubleshoot.
• Collate and analyse statistical information.
• Prepare and present management information as requested by Service Manager.
• Prepare reports and provide performance information to inform decision making.
• Provide general administrative support relating to the running of the department (purchasing, maintaining rota, basic resource management).

The Finance Officer will work within the Finance Department to provide essential day today financial processing, support and advice. The role is key in enhancing our corporate fundraising income by providing more capacity within the team and allowing a greater focus on attracting new corporate donors. The role of Independent Visitors is to provide visiting services on behalf of NYAS which are consistent with the National Quality Standards for Children’s Homes, Residential Special School Standards, Welsh National Minimum Standards, Health and Social Care Standards Scotland and CQC regulations. • To undertake monthly visits to identified homes in accordance with the requirements of the relevant NYAS manager.

Regulation 44 visits to residential children’s homes, short breaks and secure units.

Regulation 25 visits to residential family centres.

Care Quality Commission visits to residential adult homes.

Care Inspectorate Wales regulation 8 visits to residential children’s homes.

RSS20 visits to residential special schools.

Health and social care standards Scotland residential children’s homes.

Monitoring visits to unregulated provision.

• To undertake all tasks as identified by the relevant NYAS manager, during the visits and thereafter, in order to fulfil all aspects of the role.

Candidates should have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of regulated services and their inspection frameworks and also knowledge of current legislation and statutory guidance relating to children, young people and adults at risk particularly those in residential care.

Candidates must have experience of working within a social or health care organisation, safeguarding and experience of managing complex relationships across a diverse field, e.g. OFSTED inspectors, social workers, residential care workers and registered managers, health care professionals.

This is a self-employed position and you will be paid a sessional rate.

The Role:

Are you passionate about IT and enjoy helping people solve problems? Muslim Hands is seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join a small but dynamic team managing our IT systems and supporting end users across the charity.

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, eager to learn, and have hands-on experience in workplace IT support. You will work closely with the IT Manager to maintain and enhance the hardware, software, and systems that keep our charity running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver timely technical support to end users via phone, email, remote tools, and in person.

· Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues efficiently.

· Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.

· Provide support for Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and line-of-business applications.

· Administer and troubleshoot VoIP telephony systems, with familiarity in SIP phone systems.

· Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups within Entra AD and work within the Azure environment.

· Track IT support tickets, documenting resolutions and any remedial actions taken.

· Assist in maintaining and upgrading IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, desktops, laptops, and other equipment.

· Perform regular system maintenance as directed by the IT Manager.

· Maintain accurate documentation, including Asset Registers, IT Policies, and Departmental Workflows.

· Provide out-of-hours support during agreed periods.

· Undertake any other reasonable responsibilities as required by the IT Manager.

· Uphold and promote all Muslim Hands’ Policies and Codes of Practice.

Skills and Experience

· Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

· Previous experience in a technical support/helpdesk role.

· Hands-on experience with VoIP systems (setup, support, troubleshooting).

· Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.

· Understanding of networking concepts (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP).

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first approach.

· Strong team player.

· Passion for supporting the charity/third sector.

Essential for Successful Postholder to:

• Possess the ability to demonstrate current eligibility to work within the United Kingdom
• Be able to either:

1. Provide a valid Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate (issued within the last year) when requested by Muslim Hands; 

OR

2. Undertake to provide full cooperation for Muslim Hands to perform a DBS Check at the required level appropriate for this / similar role.

• Support with other Fundraising activities from time-to-time, committing to partake in live TV-Appeals during our peak periods.

The Independent Monitoring Service is seeking to recruit professionals with experience of working with children and vulnerable adults to the role of Independent Visitor.

We are looking for individuals all across Yorkshire, including but not limitted to: Hull, Sheffield, Rotherham, Leeds, Bradford. 

The role of Independent Visitors is to provide visiting services on behalf of NYAS which are consistent with the National Quality Standards for Children’s Homes, Residential Special School Standards, Welsh National Minimum Standards, Health and Social Care Standards Scotland and CQC regulations. The main duties are:

• To undertake monthly visits to identified homes in accordance with the requirements of the relevant NYAS manager.

These visits will be:

Regulation 44 visits to residential children’s homes, short breaks and secure units.

Regulation 25 visits to residential family centres.

Care Quality Commission visits to residential adult homes.

Care Inspectorate Wales regulation 8 visits to residential children’s homes.

RSS20 visits to residential special schools.

Health and social care standards Scotland residential children’s homes.

Monitoring visits to unregulated provision.

• To undertake all tasks as identified by the relevant NYAS manager, during the visits and thereafter, in order to fulfil all aspects of the role.
• To provide factual reports within set timescales as required by the relevant NYAS manager.

Candidates should have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of regulated services and their inspection frameworks and also knowledge of current legislation and statutory guidance relating to children, young people and adults at risk particularly those in residential care.

Candidates must have experience of working within a social or health care organisation, safeguarding and experience of managing complex relationships across a diverse field, e.g. OFSTED inspectors, social workers, residential care workers and registered managers, health care professionals.

Candidates should also possess a professional qualification in a related field, i.e. social work, residential care, health care professional, advocacy or youth work.

This is a self-employed position and you will be paid a sessional rate.

You will also be required to complete annual safeguarding and compliance including, Personal Safety, Data Protection, Information Security, Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity. You will be able to subscribe to an e-learning platform provided by NYAS. The platform will provide you with the opportunity to undertake a number of other professional courses that you can complete in your own time to maintain your own CPD. You can do this on the e-learning platform at a significantly reduced cost compared to undertaking each course individually with different providers.
