The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall management and delivery of the finance function for CPA UK. You will be responsible for financial modelling and analysis, management of finance data and preparation of the accounts in readiness for the annual external audit. You will ensure that internal finance policies are fit for purpose and that internal financial controls are applied. This includes providing guidance and support to colleagues regarding business decisions.

The Finance Manager will operate as a proactive Finance Business Partner, working closely with managers and senior leaders to provide financial insight, constructive challenge and support overcoming difficulties and answering questions. The postholder will help inform decision-making, problem-solve, improve organisational performance and ensure resources are used effectively to achieve the organisation's objectives.

The role provides a compliance function in filing accounts and recording our Executive Committee’s membership correctly with Companies House and The Charity Commission.

The finance team consists of the Finance Manager and a Finance Officer. The Finance Manager reports to the Deputy Chief Executive who is Head of the Business Strategy Team in which the role sits. CPA UK’s annual turnover is around £3M.

Senior Finance Officer

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead accounts payable operations and help ensure strong financial controls at Depaul UK.

About the role

Depaul UK is looking for a Senior Finance Officer - Payables to take the lead on the day-to-day delivery of an accurate, efficient and well-controlled accounts payable function.

You will also need excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise effectively and experience of supporting or managing colleagues.

• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, data sorting and analysis.

About the role 

We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage CASPA’s financial operations. 

This role involves overseeing the charity’s financial management, producing budgets and management accounts, monitoring cashflow, ensuring financial compliance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial systems and controls are in place across the organisation. 

The successful candidate will join our Senior Leadership Team, supporting the CEO and Board of Trustees and playing a pivotal role in achieving the charity’s objectives and future growth 

.

The Role 

As the Senior Finance Manager/Financial Controller, you will run the day-to-day financial operations, taking ownership of transactional accounting and month-end reconciliations. You’ll maintain the general ledger, ensure data integrity across systems, and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control functions.

The role involves coordinating payroll, preparing management accounts and VAT returns, supporting budget preparation and assisting with year-end accounts and internal and external audits. You’ll also manage the Finance Manager and play a key role in the organisation’s financial stability and operational success.

Requirements 

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification).
• Proven experience managing the month-end close and preparing management accounts.
• High-level Excel proficiency and ability to work with financial data confidently.
• Experience with accounting software (Xero experience is advantageous). Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in the charity sector, including technical expertise in Charity SORP.

Chain of Hope is an international children’s medical charity providing life-saving cardiac care to children in developing countries. Senior Finance Officer

Chain of Hope’s Senior Finance Officer will support the Director of Finance and Operational Systems in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, including contributing to the preparation of monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, and budget monitoring. The postholder will take full ownership of the charity’s purchase ledger function and purchase order management ensuring robust financial controls and strong supplier relationships.

 Responsibilities:

• Key Lead on the purchase ledger function, including processing, reconciling, and maintaining supplier accounts.
• Oversee and support the Finance Assistant in preparing weekly supplier payment runs, ensuring compliance with organisational procedures and payment deadlines.

• Administer the purchase order workflow and Finance inbox, actively chasing outstanding invoices and resolving queries with requesters to maintain smooth processing. Raising purchase orders when necessary
• Supporting month-end activities, maintaining accurate records and clear audit trails.
• Credit Card – Distribute statements for coding and monitor their return to ensure compliance within the specified timeframe.

Strategic Financial Leadership
