Our partner, a leading international not for profit, seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead on the financial management of a complex multi-country & multi-grant project. This role will really be suited to someone interested in developing and strengthening systems and processes & providing financial oversight, whilst working with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial management oversight on the project, verifying project-specific transactions and ensuring that financial data is up-to-date; and ensuring adherence to the organisation’s financial policies.
• Lead the project’s annual budgeting and forecasting process, allocating funds across country and global teams & operations.
• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports for the organisation’s project, including monthly, quarterly, and donor-specific reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement financial controls and processes to ensure compliance to donors and organisational policies, including tools such as templates, checklists, and manuals.
• Review budgets, quarterly reports and variance analyses, reforecasts, cash requests and agreements from sub-grantees; and ensure that they understand guidance on compliance and financial reporting.
• Treasury management – monitoring and analysis foreign exchange fluctuations, and their impact on project delivery.
• Responsible for supplier management, including reviewing contracts.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (and holding an active membership with an accountancy body) with experience in designing, developing and strengthening processes and controls for complex multi-country, multi-grants projects.
• Experience in the financial management and administration of grants, including budgeting, forecasting, undertaking analysis & monitoring, and reporting.
• Experience of donor compliance and reporting, including of institutional donors with complex compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience of working specifically in the context of sub-grantees and implementing partners on the ground.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, able to analyse complex financial information to provide the full picture on the project implementation, and to be able to present this alongside other analyses and reports to senior internal and external stakeholders clearly and succinctly.
• A strong command of the English language.
• Able to work effectively under pressure

This includes pre-event planning and development, concept development and proposal.

Working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, you will design and deliver events which steward and develop key contacts as part of our Capital Appeal.

The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team.  You will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks.

35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the role

This role is a newly created position working within the Youth Access to Immigration Representation and Advice (YAIRA) project providing immigration and asylum support to young people who are in care or are care leavers.  The YAIRA Project was set up by Coram CLC and 4 local authorities – Enfield, Islington, Barnet and Camden - to increase access to representation and advice for children in care and leaving care.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in upholding the rights of vulnerable children and young people with experience of the care system who is seeking to progress their legal aid career in the charity sector. The role can be split between working from home/office-based with flexibility as to the balance between the two.

The successful candidate will work alongside a senior caseworker already working on the project and together you will liaise with the local authorities involved in the project to implement an effective referral mechanism for children and young persons in their care and have conduct of and be responsible for a caseload of immigration, asylum and associated human rights law matters concerning children, young people and families referred by the local authorities. You will be expected to provide high quality legal advice, assistance and representation to these clients through legal aid casework.

The candidate will also be involved in providing ad hoc training as required to the local authority partners on areas relating to the immigration needs of children in care and care leavers and as agreed with the local authorities.

When not working on the YAIRA project, the postholder may be asked to provide paralegal casework support to the wider immigration and asylum team.

Job Title: Production Supervisor

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. Purpose of the Job  

We are looking for the Production Supervisor to play a key role in our brand-new Production team under project ‘Unit 17’.  

You will be the on the ground senior leading the teams in the daily tasks to be completed, working as the connection between the management team and the team members and volunteers. Working hands on within all the production lines, leading by example and supporting the team across the operation. 

This is an operational role, mainly based on the production floor but with a range of reporting and administrative tasks involved. You will report into the Production Manager and work closely with them on the day to day running of the unit as well as supporting covering their duties when they are away.

You will be supervising and supporting the teams to deliver on each day’s production targets as well as ensuring that all rules and HACCAP plans are followed correctly, providing real time feedback to the management team on any issues and resolutions taken.

More about Unit 17 

In early/mid 2025, we opened our second production facility as part of the Coronation Food Project. The Coronation Food Project was set up to celebrate His Majesty King Charles 75th birthday and seeks to bridge the gap between food waste and food need across the UK. 

We will be taking in surplus food from our supplier network and creating a range of products which have added value and extended shelf life.  A particular focus will be seasonal produce gluts, using ingredients which we may otherwise not be able to redistribute.  

Using four key processes (re-packaging, jarring / preserving, dehydrating and freezing), we will create a range of products which will be used in these three main ways:  

• Distributed to our partner community organisations as ‘ready to eat’ or ‘easy to use’ products for their service users - always delicious, achieving relevant safety standards and meeting the needs of the eventual end user. 

• Used in the East London Central Production Unit (CPU) to support creating Felix Ready Meals.  

• Used in Unit 17 in the creation of other products (for example frozen produce later used to make jarred sauces or preserves) 

A typical day at Unit 17 will likely include planning new product/s based on the ingredients available that day, agreeing relevant food safety requirements and working in line with this, working with the production team and volunteers to prepare, produce and package delicious products, planning for future products and project work.  

Duties and Responsibilities 

Your normal duties and responsibilities will be set out in your job description. However, the charity may require you to perform other duties from time to time.  

• Day to day supervision of the operations team, with a hands-on supportive approach 

• Liaising closely with the management team on the targets and goals for each production cycle

• Support in the delivery of all required H&S, Food Safety and HACCAP requirements and reporting on these areas

• Working with all internal stake holders across the departments at the Felix Project 

• Feeding into the reporting and delivery of the units stated KPI’s and production goals

• Ensuring that the equipment is always being used productively and correctly

• Taking a leading role in the training of the staff and volunteer teams

• Responsible for the operational record keeping and due diligence paperwork being used correctly

• Reporting any operational issues or challenges faced in a timely and open manner 

• Ensuring all team members are completing their duties across the operation, including the production space, office spaces, urban farm and any other relevant areas.

Person Specification 

This is a brand new and unique operation and requires someone with experience and an openness to creating and delivering on a new project. Someone who believes in the mission we have as an organisation and wants to put their experience and knowledge into a mission driven project.  We believe in an upbeat and enjoyable working environment but one that is driven to meet our targets and strategic goals.

Whilst previous experience and knowledge within food production is essential, we are looking for someone who wants to grow into the role and be able to develop themselves and their knowledge whilst we develop this new operation.

• Experience within a food production operation or similar

• Comfortable with all relevant aspects of Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures in a food manufacturing environment 

• Previous experience working to and reporting on HACCAP plans 

• Clear eye for detail, team player, enjoys the work they do and a strong work ethic. 

• Strong people skills, a positive attitude and belief in an ethical, equitable and enjoyable working environment.

• Comfortable in working in a fast changing and growing work environment. 

• Strong administrative and organisational skills

EXTERNAL RELATIONS

The External Relations (ER) unit comprises four complementary functions: Private Fundraising, Marketing & Mobilization, Policy & Advocacy and Operations & Analytics. The Purpose of the Role

As Director of Communications, UK, you lead IRC UK’s core communications strategy with the objectives of growing our profile, influencing policy, driving income, and building our reputation. This is done by taking a strategic approach to generating effective messaging for cross-team use, creatively collaborating to produce cut-through external products across media and digital channels, and generating top tier media coverage in collaboration with communications, advocacy and fundraising colleagues globally. In this role you will be expected to use expert judgment to manage IRC UK’s reputation, as well as ensure media and digital outputs protect clients, staff and programming from harm. 

The Director will report to the UK Executive Director and the Acting Senior Director of Global Public Affairs. The Director will collaborate closely with the Director for Digital Engagement, UK Advocacy Director, and the Director of UK Mass Markets to meet the organization’s strategic objectives surrounding profile, income and influence.

Scope and Authority

Authority:

●The role holder sets strategic direction for UK communications, with a focus on earned media, public advocacy and organic digital.

●The role oversees the UK comms operational budget, with access to the Global External Relations budget.

●The role has the authority to brief journalists with agreed messaging and act as spokesperson for the organisation.

Strategic Direction

●Raise IRC UK's profile, income, influence and brand in the UK market by developing and delivering a 360 comprehensive communications & marketing strategy that reaches target audiences, attracts new supporters, and connects supporters with IRC clients.

●Partner with global external relations leadership to set Key Performance Indicators for achieving the strategy, and drive and monitor progress towards them with the support of your team.

Team Management & Stakeholder engagement

The AI Opportunity Fund:

The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a  €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to at least 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future. 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Grants Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the operational leadership of the programme, ensuring that it is planned and executed effectively on time, on budget and within scope. A key focus of the role is ensuring that the grant-giving component of the programme is designed and stewarded diligently.

This is a middle management role that is primarily operational with some elements of strategic leadership. It requires strong project management skills, good grant-making practice and the ability to manage relationships with diverse partners.  We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with considerable scope and complexity; and who embraces the challenges and opportunities of a startup environment where learning, adaptability, and building the plane as we fly it are central!

Responsibilities and Competencies:

Programme Development and Delivery

• Lead on shaping the design and execution of the AI Opportunity Fund utilising appropriate project management frameworks.

• Coordinate high quality project deliverables including implementing an AI training programme at scale and convening peer learning and knowledge sharing workshops. 

• Collaborate closely with Finance and Senior Leadership to manage and monitor the programme budget and expenditure.

• Identify, escalate and contribute to addressing programmatic risks to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and donor requirements.

Grant Making and Management

• Lead the design and implementation of the AI Opportunity Fund grant making function, embedding good grant making practice whilst adhering to donor expectations. 

• Develop and implement robust grant-making systems, processes and structures to successfully execute each stage of the grant lifecycle. 

• Provide excellent stewardship of a large portfolio of grants, providing technical support and effectively managing escalated issues to ensure the programme achieves its strategic objectives.

• Manage and coach the Grants Officer, ensuring they deliver their grants administration responsibilities effectively. 

Partnerships and Stakeholder Management

• Provide excellent donor stewardship of Google . org, securing their confidence in CPIE as a thought and delivery partner.

Recording and administrative tasks:

Salary: £46,125 including generous benefits

The role

Evidence and Evaluation Officers are key to generating and synthesising evidence on what works and developing resources to support its translation to policy makers, commissioners and practitioners.

The primary focus of the role is contributing to the Strengthening Families, Supporting Children programme – a flagship initiative involving three large-scale comprehensive evaluations of distinct social work practice models. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to high-impact evaluations that will directly inform national policy. You will join the project team and will work closely with other Evidence and Evaluation Officers and will be supervised by a Senior Evaluation Officer. You will also support commissioned evaluations.

About you

The role requires a strong mix of research and broader professional skills, including communication skills, initiative, and the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences. You will also need a master's degree in social science, social policy, public health, health services, or another related field, or relevant experience equivalent to a master's qualification.

You will have experience of:

• Conducting implementation and process evaluations and delivering outputs to time and to high quality
• Conducting research in sensitive and complex settings, including children’s social care
• Collecting data from children, young people, and families who may be vulnerable
• Analysing quantitative data, including survey and administrative data
• Coding qualitative data using NVivo and familiarity with different qualitative analytical methods
• Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive research reports.
