Job Purpose
The role of the central charity is to facilitate member support and the successful operation of the charity, lead strategic projects that work to ensure the longevity and sustainability of the global movement and to support the delivery of impactful work in communities that meet our aims.
Like many membership organisations, we need to focus on turning membership decline into membership growth. This role evolved from and is an integral part of the “Reimagining MU” project, where we looked at opportunities to secure the future of the movement.
The post holder will work directly with members and across the charity leading campaigns and programmes that help and support the communities in which we serve, drive membership growth, increase valued engagement and income opportunities, promote Mothers’ Union within the Anglican Church, and build effective relationships with external partners and organisations.
This role will lead the implementation of a suite of existing and new Britain and Ireland programmes which include domestic abuse, social justice, and family issues. Also, to look at new programmes and to manage continual programme reviews. These Mothers’ Union National Programmes are being adopted as best practice frameworks for successful community outreach projects by members in the communities in which we serve. It is envisioned that in resourcing and standardising existing work, these robust programmes will serve as vehicles for volunteer and member recruitment in dioceses in Britain and Ireland and be able to secure strategic partners and external funders to support our work.
Main responsibilities
Programme Development, Implementation and Review – Britain and Ireland
1. Work with the Director of Membership on the continued development, implementation and review of a member-informed national suite of Mothers’ Union programmes.
2. Research, review and develop new member resources, packs, and policies and manage access.
3. Work with the wider Membership team on the design, implementation, and delivery of new membership growth models.
4. Work with the Communications team on campaigns and programme branding and promotion.
5. Procure and manage relationships with programme strategic partners and funders.
Membership Engagement and Support
1. Manage relevant Communities of Interest (representative membership groups) for the different programmes.
2. Contribute campaign materials, articles, written printed and web content as required.
3. Support the membership by overseeing programme enquiries, and delivering resources, communications, webinars, podcasts, and events as required.
4. Working with the Membership Engagement Manager to ensure membership growth is reflected in the programme frameworks as an intended outcome.
5. Working with the Director of Membership and the wider membership team to deliver annual and regional events and conferences including the Annual Gathering, Provincial meetings, networking, and celebratory events.
General
- To manage existing national programmes; and to successfully framework and resource new MU campaigns and community outreach work into standardised, resourced and branded national programmes that are adopted and utilised by members and attract strategic partners to enhance successful outputs and increased income for the charity.
- To work across the charity on supporting the incorporation and delivery of membership and income growth targets and initiatives in the outputs of relevant areas of work.
- To produce and provide reports and resources as required for the Director of Membership.
- To undertake any other duties as requested by the Head of Membership.

Primary location of role

Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Public Affairs Manager, to lead our national public affairs activity, influencing the government to help deliver evidence-based policies that will make a real difference to children’s health. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the forefront of an urgent and politically significant policy area while also collaborating with young people to ensure their voices and lived experiences are heard by policymakers.
This is an exciting time to join Bite Back and take our public affairs strategy forward with the Government. We have already seen significant policy wins in the past year and have big ambitions to drive more progress in 2026. In 2024 and 2025 our youth activists gave evidence to the House of Lords, hosted parliamentary drop-in sessions and a mock inquiry, and made memorable appearances at party conference fringe sessions. This is an opportunity to build on that success and raise Bite Back’s profile even further amongst policymakers at a time when the Government is charting its new strategic approach to improving the food system as well as its 10 year plan to save the NHS. The Senior Public Affairs Manager will report to our Director of Advocacy & Strategy and be responsible for developing and implementing all our public affairs activity, ensuring alignment with our campaigns team and working closely with our partners in other organisations to bring about meaningful change. Responsibilities
The Senior Public Affairs Manager is accountable for:

Developing and delivering Bite Back’s public affairs and influencing strategy to galvanise action, building the profile of Bite Back, our young campaigners and securing support from political stakeholders at all levels, nationally, locally, in Westminster and Holyrood.

Ensuring this strategy remains “live” and flexible. Adapting it to political and policy change as necessary.

Planning a pipeline of tactical public affairs activities that take advantage of key opportunities and mechanisms to build relationships with a growing number of political advocates.

Managing and delivering other political events throughout the year such as influencing roundtables, receptions, including at least one Parliamentary drop-in event and two Party Conference fringe sessions per year.

Translating young people’s insights and policy context into messaging for policymakers and distil policy detail into key points for young people to engage with and campaign on.

Providing strategic advice to the team on political developments and adapt strategies and plans accordingly.

Act as a champion for public affairs activity internally, including upskilling and advising the wider Bite Back team and young people on political activities and processes.

Providing line management support on public affairs to the Policy & Engagement Executive.

Searching for external opportunities and events where our young people may be able to present their lived experience to policymakers either through giving formal evidence or playing a speaking role.

Working with our youth team to engage and support our youth leaders to speak with policymakers including development of briefing materials, preparing and running training sessions and attending meetings.

Drafting letters, submissions, briefing notes and other outreach materials to engage policymakers, Government and manage dissemination and follow up.

Conducting political stakeholder mapping, perception auditing and contact tracking to inform strategic political engagement plans and evaluation.

Collaborating with the content and campaigns teams to translate public affairs moments and messaging into exciting, accessible content for our supporter audiences.

Working closely with other organisations via established coalitions and more informal coordination around key issues, working collaboratively at the highest levels with values-aligned organisations to achieve our goals.

Working with the new Senior Programmes & Policy Manager based in Scotland to conduct stakeholder mapping and build a network of supportive Scottish MPs and MSPs.

About the Role
The Senior Research and Development Manager will play an important role in managing NCB’s research and evidence work, supporting our impact and growth and working across teams in a matrix environment. About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
The Senior Challenge Events Manager maternity cover role is crucial to ensure a smooth delivery of a busy portfolio of challenge events in 2026, forecast to bring in £2.8million - plus some planning for 2027. We need someone to step into this role to continue driving our growth strategy – where we are one year into a three year plan. This department’s work is vital for the continual diversification of our income, through expanding our portfolio of challenge events and recruitment of new participants. This department includes all of our third party challenge events, including the London marathon, as well as our bespoke ‘CoppaTrek!’ programme.
Leading a team of five, the Senior Challenge Events Manager will need to hit the ground running to oversee all events booked in, providing hands-on support for these events. Unusually, the Bespoke Challenge Events Manager (the manager covering the work on treks at CoppaFeel!, a direct report for this role) will also be a maternity cover role for the same period of time. This elevates the need for clean, organised and focused delivery of our events.
The Senior Challenge Events Manager will also need to represent the challenge events team internally to integrate them into the wider organisational goals, contributing to a fundraising culture at CoppaFeel!.
In addition to overseeing the delivery of 2026, the Senior Challenge Events Manager will need to prepare and plan for 2027, and work with other teams to successfully launch them towards the end of 2026. They will be required to create the budget for 2027’s events including all phased income and expenditure.
As this is an events role, you will be required to attend events out of hours and can take TOIL according to our policy. This includes attending multi day treks which we host both in the UK and abroad. In 2026, there will be three multi day treks (June, July and September – one in UK and two abroad) and two One Day treks (on weekends in June and September). There will be many challenge events in the Spring and Autumn seasons. Therefore, please bear in mind that as part of this role, you will be expected to travel and stay away from home for up to 9 days at a time. The benefit being you get to see some incredible parts of the world and meet amazing people.
In terms of the office, it is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office two days per week.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
Duties and Responsibilities
Portfolio Delivery
- Deliver the challenge events programme and support the team to raise 2.8 million pounds in 2026.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of our CoppaTrek! Events to raise income target of 2.3 million pounds, with direct input and management when required.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of our Sporting Challenge Events, to raise £500,000, often attending events and supporting on-the-day when required.
- Oversee and support with delivery of the current strategies in place to grow the portfolio of Challenge Events, driving the increase in the number of participants and revenue.
- Oversee and support with delivery of the current strategies in place to grow the income from CoppaTrek! In 2026 and beyond.
- Manage the budget for the full events department, working closely with the Director of Fundraising.
- Maximise on any opportunities to improve our Treks and making them more efficient/sustainable year-on-year.
- Be embedded in the management of the treks day-to-day, to celebrity recruitment and retention, and volunteer management.
- Plan 2027 portfolio in line with growth strategy, and support Bespoke Challenge Events Manager with 2027 trek launch towards the end of 2026.
Managing Key Stakeholders
- Liaise with and support all celebrities signed up for our treks, and potentially support in sourcing celebrities.
- Lead on the PR for challenge events, working with the PR and Marketing team to publicise events throughout the year, often working closely with high profile supporters to do so.
- Harness excellent relationships with key suppliers (such as Charity Challenge, our trek supplier) to ensure CoppaFeel! Receive the best support and prices for 2026 and beyond.
- Work with partnerships team to secure trek sponsors and support with year-round relationships.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Monitor, analyse and ensure donor journeys/supporter experiences are appropriate and successful for both Challenge Events and Treks.
- Ensure CoppaFeel!’s events reflect sector trends and are able to compete with other charity portfolios where possible.
- Understand and advocate for supporters, inspiring them to engage and fundraise, ensuring our thanking and engagement strategies encourage long term support and repeat giving.
- Ensure ROI and key performance metrics are used to make evidence based decisions and are kept to the best we can manage.
- Report on events to the Heads of Department to update and alert them to all opportunities for cross team working.
Team Support and Management
- Lead and inspire the Challenge Events Team to meet their objectives and live the CoppaFeel! values.
- Line manage the Challenge Events Manager and Bespoke Challenge Events Manager, and oversee the management of our more junior team members ensuring they have an annual performance review, learning and development plans, KPI’s, and are supported to meet their fundraising targets.
- Champion cross team collaboration, finding a way to embed fundraising across the CoppaFeel! culture whilst also demonstrating an understanding of other team’s priorities and strategies.
- Responsible for the knowledge of regulation relevant to Challenge Events including GDPR, Gift Aid, VAT and fundraising best practice.
- Work with the Head of Finance on budgeting, reporting, re-forecasting income and ROI.
- Produce progress reports as required to the Director of Fundraising.

- Excellent record keeping at all times of all Challenge Events, Treks and communications on the CoppaFeel! shared Google Drive.
- Keep diary and shared calendar up-to-date, shared communications across the organisation including desk booking systems, People HR, Weekly Round Up and contribute to team meetings.
- Ensure excellent financial records are kept including invoicing, contracts for suppliers, cheques and cash collections, and team expenses, following CoppaFeel! finance policies.

The Sales and Insights Manager leads on the management and development of the CRM database and ticketing system (Tessitura). They are responsible for reporting and in-depth analysis of sales and data with the aim of better understanding our audience and delivering creative, data led, and results driven marketing campaigns.

The Marketing & Communications team is crucial to the success of the Almeida’s ambitious vision and the strategic priorities for the team include:
- Build and manage the brand of the Almeida Theatre across London, the UK and internationally.
- Take a strategic and data first approach to marketing and promoting the Almeida and its work in order to deliver income targets in excess of £3 million in ticket sales each year.
- Build and diversify the audience who experience our artistic programme and increase engagement levels among those currently least engaged in arts and culture.

- Generate additional income from growth of the Almeida Membership and the promotion of auxiliary sales.
Key Responsibilities:
CRM:
- Lead on management of Almeida’s central CRM database, Tessitura, and act as principal point of contact with Tessitura for all system maintenance, development, and upgrades.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Development teams to maximise the use of our CRM systems and ensure they are fit for purpose and align with the goals of the organisation.
- Ensure the CRM provides an effective sales funnel and is an efficient sales process.
- Work with the Box Office Manager to set up on-sales for new productions and events.
- Update the information and content in TNEW (online booking system), working Box Office Manager to ensure a smooth sales path.
- Work with the Development team to enhance our insight into current and prospective supporters. In particular, working to support Membership recruitment and retention, to encourage donations.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to produce audience segmentation strategies.
- Help troubleshoot queries or issues, related to Tessitura filtering those that cannot be resolved internally through to the Tessitura support.
- Provide support to all of the key departments within the Almeida which generate and use data, including set up of users, and provide training as required.
- Be a key part of the Almeida’s GDPR team ensuring all our data collection and processing complies with all current and future data protection legislation.
Sales, Insights and Data:
- Compile and deliver sales reports and analysis to relevant departments across the organisation, including senior and executive leadership, tailoring reports to suit a range of requirements.
- Monitor ticket inventory and introduce strategies for managing ticket holds.
- Provide up-to-date data analysis and reporting on marketing activities to help improve the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Use sales data analysis to advise the Director of Marketing and Communications on ticket pricing strategies.
- Manage our digital audience survey (Survey Monkey) and Arts Council data collection platform (Illuminate), collating and reporting on the results and evaluation of campaigns and audiences.

About the role
The resettlement team provides advice and support for refugees on resettlement and relocation schemes to help them access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies running similar services across the UK, the Refugee Council resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.
The Refugee Council work in partnership with Migration Yorkshire and Local Authorities across Yorkshire and Humberside to deliver the regional Resettlement programmes including the UK Resettlement Scheme, Afghan resettlement programmes (ARAP and ACRS), VPRS and VCRS. As the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for leading some of the largest and most complex partnerships, focusing on delivering shared strategic goals to increase social mobility in the workplace. The corporate partnerships for the charity have been focused on strategic engagement on an organisational level and growth has been achieved through supporting multiple objectives and senior stakeholder relationships, so continuing this line of work will be important in the portfolio. The role will focus on both new business and account management with ambitious individual and team income targets.
To be successful as the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will have proven experience of corporate partnerships fundraising and be able to evidence securing and managing multi-year high value partnerships of six and seven figures. This person will need to demonstrate how they have developed a successful set of approaches to win new corporate partnerships and ideally experience of networking mapping and relationship building with the education and/or non-for-profit sector at the C-suite level.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices for at least two days per week. The salary for this role is £49,000 to £55,000.
