We are looking for a senior partnerships officer who will ensure our vital work to address the
environmental crisis is well funded, working to secure new partnerships and stewarding existing
funder relationships.
This multifaceted role works across teams to coordinate and deliver Green Alliance’s fundraising
activities and grant management. Collaborating with the organisation’s policy and political
experts, you support the creation of creative and impactful new project proposals that address
environmental problems and support the organisation’s strategy. You will identify funders for this
through prospecting and relationship building and will guide proposals through processes to
secure funds. You will monitor the organisation’s progress against fundraising targets and lead on
management of our funding pipeline.
Stewardship of existing funding relationships is a significant part of this role which means
ensuring we have excellent communication with our funders, making sure they receive high
quality reports on Green Alliance’s impact and supporting the team to see our funders as partners.
You will manage our Business Circle and maintain relationships with its members and support
efforts to recruit new business members into Green Alliance Task Forces.
Excellent communication skills are at the heart of this role, both written and verbal. You will be
confident, efficient, and resourceful; calm under pressure and enjoy building strong relationships
with a variety of senior stakeholders, as well as working independently. Strong skills in relation to
organisation, administration and prioritisation are essential.
You will need to understand, or be willing to learn about, the political and environmental policy
contexts we work in.

About the role
This position involves supporting the Finance team by providing financial assistance to the Head of Finance in maintaining the organisation’s financial records and internal controls.
You will utilise your finance skills to ensure that transactions are accurately and promptly recorded, and you’ll assist in preparing high-quality month-end reports. You will also collaborate closely with the Finance Officer and wider teams to contribute to the organisation’s financial reporting and planning.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and internal reports for departmental managers and participate in regular review meetings; conduct variance analysis against budget and forecasts and provide commentary for senior management.
- Prepare, check, and submit end-of-month financial data to external accountants.
- Respond to internal and external finance queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Process the month-end transactions on Quick Books.
- Assist the Head of Finance with payroll processing, audits, financial reports, and ad hoc finance-related tasks.
- Prepare budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with the Head of Finance and ensure accurate upload into the financial system.
- Monitor cash flow and support cash flow forecasting.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial procedures and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Desirable knowledge, experience and qualifications:
- Accounting qualification or studying towards an accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

- Knowledge of data protection regulations and managing confidential information.

You will be joining The Advocacy Project at a critical time as we enter the second year of our new strategy. Key to the success of the new strategy is developing a sustainable business model that moves us from a reliance on statutory income to a mixed portfolio of funding including trusts and foundations and paid for services. Focussing on growth we are looking to secure at least £250,000 new income annually while maintaining our current income levels, we aim to double our income by the end of our strategy in 2030.
As part of our senior leadership team, you will be agile and collaborative, a fundraising professional who has developed and delivered an income generation strategy and achieved income growth across multiple income streams, including developing commercial income streams, grants and statutory income. You will be hands on, getting stuck into applications, prospecting, communicating, and developing new income opportunities. Building strong relationships with staff, volunteers and service users, you will also have the ability to engage with stakeholders and build relationships externally. You will develop evidence-based and impact-led cases for support for various projects and must be able to unlock growth, develop new approaches and help communicate our impact.
You will build and lead a small, effective and positive fundraising team.
Key responsibilities
- Developing our income strategy to ensure we reach our financial and strategic goals.
- Chairing the Business development and fundraising committee
- Further developing trust and foundations pipeline, growing income and identifying new opportunities.
- Further develop our commercial income opportunities including training, consultancy and paid for services.
- Overseeing all tender submissions including building the pipeline and writing or commissioning tender writers.
- Working with the CEO and our comms officer to ensure our Comms and Income generation strategy are aligned.
- Recruiting and managing bid writers as required.
- Working with our Finance team to ensure all donations are collected and recorded correctly, holding budget responsibility for fundraising and cooms.
- Building our case for support, working closely with staff and service users to understand their lived experience.
- Representing The Advocacy Project with funders, commissioners and external partners
- Ensure the Board of Trustees are regularly updated on the progress of income generation and our comms engagement, using a transparent and consistent reporting framework.

About you

The National Deaf Ministry Advisor plays an important role in helping the Church of England become more inclusive and accessible for Deaf people. Working within a national team that supports ministry and leadership across the Church, the post holder will bring expertise in Deaf culture, communication and advocacy to ensure Deaf people can fully participate in worship, leadership and community life. This includes advising senior leaders, supporting policy development and helping to shape a Church where Deaf voices are heard, valued and represented. You will work closely with colleagues, dioceses and networks supporting Deaf ministry to provide guidance, training and encouragement. The role involves building strong relationships, supporting those already involved in Deaf ministry and advocating for fair access and opportunities, including for those exploring ordained or lay ministry roles. - Experience of supporting or developing others, for example through training, mentoring or working with volunteers

You’ll lead our Advice Centre, ensuring students receive high quality advice, representation and advocacy when they need it most. But this role is about much more than managing casework.
We're looking for someone who can think beyond traditional advice services, using insight, evidence and student experiences to influence change across the University and improve outcomes for students. You'll play a key role in identifying emerging issues, championing student interests and ensuring student voices help shape policy, practice and decision making.
Working closely with colleagues across Membership Services, you'll build strong partnerships with our Student Voice team to drive advocacy work and support elected officers and student representatives. - Leading and developing NTSU's Advice Centre, ensuring students have access to high-quality advice, advocacy and representation.

The Vacancy
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Researcher to make a significant contribution on a 2-year fixed term contract to the design, delivery and management of research and evidence projects at NCB. Research projects at NCB involve a range of methods, often using a mixed-methods approach, that include evidence synthesis and systematic reviews, literature reviews, primary research using qualitative and quantitative methods and secondary data analysis.
A key focus of this role will be leading and delivering high-quality evidence synthesis, as a core component of our research portfolio.
NCB’s research focuses on a broad range of topic areas on behalf of a range of trusts and foundations, statutory, academic, voluntary and community sector funders, including social care and the transition to adulthood; education; mental health & wellbeing; youth violence and early years.
The postholder will work across a range of projects including the topics above and using a range of methods as appropriate, ensuring their work is delivered to NCB’s quality standards.

What the job involves
As Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, you’ll play a central role in helping us understand and demonstrate the real difference our work makes. You’ll manage the development and delivery of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for our Health Equity, Services and Improvement directorate, ensuring we can track our progress against Prostate Cancer UK’s new strategy with confidence. As part of the Data and Evidence team, you’ll bring together data and insight to tell a clear story about our impact for men and the wider healthcare system.
In this role, you’ll design practical, meaningful ways to measure success, from shaping our key performance indicators to strengthening how we collect and use data over time. You’ll draw on information from multiple sources to build a joined-up view of our activity, and use clear, engaging data visualisation to bring your findings to life. You’ll also support reporting to boards and committees, presenting evidence in a way that is accessible, relevant and supports good decision-making.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, helping them evaluate their work and feel more confident using data in their day-to-day roles. By championing a culture of evidence-based decision making and continuous learning, you’ll help teams see the value of monitoring and evaluation and use it to improve what they do.
Alongside this, you’ll keep a strong overview of activity across the directorate, using data and insight to spot trends, highlight opportunities and drive improvements. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing development of our data and insight approach, helping us strengthen the quality, consistency and impact of how we evaluate and report on our work.
What we want from you
You’ll bring strong expertise in monitoring, evaluation and learning, with experience of applying approaches such as theory of change, outcome harvesting and logic models in practice. You’ll be skilled at evaluating public health or similar programmes, with a strong understanding of impact measurement and the ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative data. Experience in data visualisation is important, and familiarity with tools like Tableau or Power BI would be a bonus.
You’ll be comfortable designing surveys and using a range of data collection techniques, alongside a good understanding of UK health data sources. Just as importantly, you’ll be able to communicate complex findings in a clear and engaging way, helping others understand what the data is telling us and why it matters.
You’ll be well organised, with strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively across teams, building strong relationships and supporting colleagues to use data with confidence in their day-to-day work.

Overall Purpose of the Role:
