Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is looking for a Senior Website Manager to lead the evolution of one of our most important digital products. Our website is much more than a website - it is where supporters discover our work, fundraisers find inspiration, donors take action, and people learn about the difference their support makes to seriously ill children and their families.

This is a high-profile role sitting within our Performance Marketing and Digital Engagement team, with responsibility for shaping the future of the charity’s digital experience. We’re looking for someone who can think strategically about where we need to go, while also being comfortable rolling up their sleeves to help make it happen.
 

You’ll lead the website product roadmap, drive continuous improvement across supporter journeys and work across a wide range of teams including Fundraising, Marketing, Communications, Technology, Data and external partners. Success in this role comes from being able to flex between strategic planning, stakeholder management, product ownership, user experience, optimisation and delivery.

No two days are likely to look the same. One day you might be facilitating roadmap discussions with senior stakeholders, the next analysing user behaviour, shaping an SEO strategy, reviewing backlog priorities with developers or testing new approaches to improve conversion and supporter engagement.
 

We’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing people together around a shared vision, navigating complexity and making confident decisions based on evidence, user needs and organisational priorities. Someone who can challenge constructively, build consensus and help teams focus on what will create the greatest value for our supporters and the organisation.
 

Salary

The salary for this role is £51,000 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision, roadmap and ongoing development of the charity website, ensuring it supports supporter needs, fundraising objectives and organisational priorities.
• Own the website product backlog, balancing long-term improvements, business priorities, technical considerations and user experience enhancements.
• Work closely with Technology teams, developers, analysts, content specialists and external partners to scope, prioritise and deliver digital improvements through agile ways of working.
• Champion a user-centred approach, using insight, research, testing and data to improve supporter journeys and digital experiences.
• Lead website optimisation activity, including experimentation, A/B testing, user research and conversion improvement initiatives.
• Drive the GOSH’s SEO strategy, ensuring content and technical improvements support sustainable growth and discoverability.
• Build strong relationships across Fundraising, Communications, Marketing and Technology teams, helping align priorities and bring stakeholders together around shared goals.
• Translate organisational needs and supporter insight into clear product outcomes, user stories and prioritised delivery plans.
• Manage website performance, governance, accessibility and compliance, ensuring the platform remains secure, effective and fit for purpose.
• Lead and develop a small team while building digital capability across the organisation through guidance, training and best practice.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Significant experience managing websites, digital products or digital platforms in a complex environment.
• Strong product management experience, including roadmap development, backlog management and prioritisation.
• Experience working across multiple teams and stakeholder groups, with excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design, digital optimisation and supporter or customer journey development.
• Experience using analytics, user research and insight to inform decisions and improve performance.
• Strong SEO knowledge and experience developing strategies that drive growth and visibility.
• Experience working with software engineers, technology teams and external suppliers to deliver digital products and improvements.
• Ability to move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, adapting to changing priorities and organisational needs.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading and developing teams, creating a collaborative and high-performing environment.

About the role 

 As a Health Analytics Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping how data and evidence are used to inform understanding, influence decision-making, and drive action on cardiovascular disease across the UK. Working within the Health Insights team in the Medical Directorate, you’ll ensure the British Heart Foundation (BHF) remains intelligence-led across its operations.

This is a senior analytical role where you’ll lead the delivery of high-quality population health and healthcare analytics, ensuring robust, evidence-based insights inform strategic priorities, policy development and organisational decision-making. You’ll translate complex statistical and scientific evidence into clear, compelling insights that influence decisions and drive meaningful action.

You’ll lead analytical activity across large, complex datasets, including data extraction, preparation, modelling, and visualisation, producing impactful public-facing outputs such as reports and technical explainers. You’ll effectively communicate insights to a wide range of audiences, including senior stakeholders, policy teams, and the media.

You’ll deliver a core health intelligence service to the Medical Directorate and wider organisation, manage the statistics sign-off process, respond to complex queries, and support the development of knowledge management and reporting approaches. Working collaboratively across teams, including data science, you’ll maximise the value of data and analytics across BHF.

As a leader, you’ll line manage and develop analysts, fostering a high-performing team while championing best practice in data management, reproducibility, and statistical governance.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you’ll have:

• A degree in a quantitative field such as medical statistics, epidemiology, health services research, biomedical research, or equivalent experience (postgraduate qualification desirable). 
• Strong experience in a senior analytical role, ideally within a health-related environment, with expertise in population health, epidemiology, or healthcare analytics. 
• Proven experience working with large, complex datasets, using a range of data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation tools. 
• Strong experience delivering high-quality, public-facing analysis and translating complex statistical and scientific evidence into clear, accessible insights for varied audiences. 
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and engage both technical and non-technical audiences, including in external or media settings. 
• Experience developing dashboards, models, and reporting tools to support decision-making and promote data-driven practices. 
• Experience line managing or developing analysts, maintaining high analytical standards and supporting capability growth. 
• You’ll bring strong technical expertise in tools such as R or Python, SQL, and visualisation platforms such as Power BI or Tableau, alongside advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 
• You’ll be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines, with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. A collaborative and proactive approach is essential, as is the confidence to challenge thinking and champion an evidence-based culture.

Head of FP&A | Permanent | £63,000 - £67,000 | London | Hybrid

For a well-known charity in central London, we're recruiting a permanent FP&A Lead to join a high-performing finance team. This role will design and deliver accurate and timely financial information, supporting the decision-making process for stakeholders. The role will manage a Finance Business Partner and Systems Analyst and will lead on ensuring the financial systems and processes and fit for purpose, whilst collaborating across the organisation to build financial capacity. Finally, the FP&A Lead will integrate financial planning and drive improvements to enhance decision-making and long-term sustainability.

Main Duties:

• Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting - working with department to set KPIs and provide decision-making analysis
• Build the framework for collecting and communicating the organisational budget and forecast
• Develop and deliver regular financial MI to stakeholders
• Develop first-class financial analysis across income and expenditure, project and fund accounting, and cashflow

This is a brilliant opportunity to lead our Data and Evidence Team on an interim basis while the postholder is on parental leave.
