The Work Rights Centre is looking for a motivated colleague to support our frontline advice team by acting as the first point of contact for clients, providing efficient triage of cases, and to support the delivery of key projects.

This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with a strong sense of justice, who values impact, and enjoys client-facing work in a diverse and agile team. We can accommodate hybrid work, and offer 28 days of annual leave in addition to a winter holiday break. 

The role

You will have the opportunity to make a true impact on people’s lives by acting as the first point of contact for clients, and leading the triage of varied enquiries. You will collect and record information about people’s cases, before they are allocated to one of our legal advisers in the Employment or Immigration team, and contribute to client-facing materials. You will also support the smooth running of the organisation by providing administrative and office support.

About you

We seek an enthusiastic frontline worker, who shares our mission to end in-work poverty by helping vulnerable workers find justice, and who has: 

• Two years of experience working in a client-facing capacity

• Experience collecting information, and setting clear client expectations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent time management, demonstrating an ability to juggle multiple tasks

• Knowledge of, and empathy with, experiences of migrants and other vulnerable workers.

• Experience in triaging client enquiries or providing advice in a legal setting would be highly advantageous

We are now looking for an experienced Interim Finance Director to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) for up to a 6-month period.

This role will play a critical part in helping the organisation navigate a transitional period, with several time-sensitive priorities underway. Cosmic is a small but mighty children’s charity dedicated to supporting the incredible work of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith. We provide vital funding for life-saving equipment, specialist staff training, and pioneering research. The Role

This role will be pivotal in connecting Cosmic with the families we support and our NHS units across both hospital sites, by managing service delivery and fostering continuous engagement. The postholder will lead and coordinate our new Post-Discharge Support service, working closely with families, the NHS Family Liaison Team, and counsellors. They will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of service delivery projects - focusing on the experiences and impact on both NHS staff and families - while ensuring efficiency and value for money through careful cost assessment.

NHS Engagement & Relationship Management

▪ Build strong partnerships with PICU and NICU teams to embed Cosmic’s presence, raise awareness, and identify areas for support.

▪ Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and deliver projects that improve patient, family and staff experiences - maintaining an up-to-date pipeline of funding needs.

Charity Chief Officer, Shelley McCarthy, was appointed 2 years ago. She is delivering the objectives and goals set out in the 2023-2026 strategy which sets out the Trustees’ ambitions to develop a new function and, potentially a new charity, focussed on its ambitions to provide greater support for children and young people. To this end, a new role has been created for a Children and Young Person’s Lead who will oversee this area and also act as Deputy Chief Officer with additional responsibility across the Foundation.

This post will develop the strategy around the children and young persons’ service in close consultation with the Chief Officer and Trustees. You will also line manage all 3 Managers and, indirectly manage 4 other members of staff who sit within their teams. This will allow the Chief Officer to hold a more strategic and externally focussed role.

To be a candidate of interest for this role you must have senior and strategic leadership and management experience, deep knowledge of growing fundraising/income generation through a diverse range of income channels and outstanding stakeholder relationship management skills at all levels, internally and externally.

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Operations Director to play a key role in shaping and supporting everything we do at Katherine Low Settlement. Sitting at the heart of our leadership team, this role is all about making sure our charity runs smoothly, sustainably, and with purpose — so we can keep making a difference in the lives of those who need us most.

Role Purpose

The Operations Director is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of all operational aspects of Katherine Low Settlement. This role oversees the day-to-day operational leadership of the charity, ensuring that its systems, processes, and teams are aligned with strategic objectives and compliant with relevant legislation.

This position will lead on programme delivery, financial management, human resources, IT infrastructure, risk and compliance, governance, and facilities management, ensuring that the organisation operates smoothly and sustainably. The post-holder will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), embedding a strong safeguarding culture across the organisation, and also be responsible for policy development and culture and wellbeing.

Operational Leadership & Organisational Strategy

• Provide strategic leadership for all operational functions, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and strategic objectives.
