Prospectus are proud to be supporting a leading Kinship care charity in England and Wales offering kinship carers financial, legal, practical and emotional support and understanding, from the moment they need it, for as long as they need it. Expert advice, information and guidance helps with complicated and stressful decisions that so many kinship families have to make. They are now recruiting for a temporary Senior Finance Officer to join their team, initially for 1 month with the potential of extension to 2 months.
As a Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial operations. Including, processing all income and expenditure in the financial management system, performing bank and transaction ledger reconciliations to support treasury management and cashflow forecasting, supporting the workflows of the Finance and Fundraising teams and providing relevant financial information to support various reporting requirements. The role will involve a high-level of interpersonal skills and you will work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure that the charity complies with its statutory and reporting obligations, as well as helping to build financial competencies across all areas of its operations.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have experience using Business Central systems (also known as Dynamics), as well as experience working in similar Finance roles and evidence a high degree of financial literacy and accuracy in addition to a strong business-partnering approach. You will be able to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to informing and supporting transformational change in their processes and systems, as well as dealing with the day-to-day demands of the role.
Please note, this is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, 2 days per week on site, at their offices, based in Vauxhall, with the option of working from home, the remaining 3 days.
