This role sits within the Philanthropy, Partnerships & Commercial (PPC) team, made up of Philanthropy & Trusts, Corporate Partnerships & Commercial, Special Events & Stewardship, and Fundraising Operations.

The focus of the Philanthropy & Trusts team is to build a solid base of support through excellent stewardship of existing trusts and major donors alongside cultivation of new prospects, reached through prospect research and the networks of senior volunteers. The key purpose of this Philanthropy Manager is to meet both financial and strategic KPIs in order ensure the long-term health of the Philanthropy pipeline. They will do this by personally managing a portfolio of key individual relationships as well as line-managing the Philanthropy Officer to deliver against their targets. This role, together with Battersea’s other Philanthropy Managers, will also work closely with senior leadership, senior volunteers and other individuals to open up networks and introduce new major donors to Battersea.

About the role

This is an exciting and pivotal leadership role at the heart of Kinship’s digital transformation. You’ll lead a talented and ambitious team to deliver innovative digital products, accessible content, and outstanding user experiences that support kinship carers and strengthen our organisational impact.

Kinship is growing rapidly. We are expanding our reach and digital capabilities, and our digital platforms are central to this change. In 2024, we launched a new website that brings together all our content and services under one roof, and introduced a new Kinship Compass postcode search feature. This is a national tool that helps kinship carers find and navigate local and national support, like their kinship local offer, local peer support groups and training. 

Alongside this, we have been developing a new AI-powered tool to help kinship carers get the information they need quickly and accurately, 24/7. This role will lead the evolution of these digital products, ensuring they are safe, ethical, data-driven and continuously improved to meet the needs of kinship carers.

You’ll play a key role in the Department for Education funded national Training and Support Service, helping kinship carers easily access and book high-quality training. You’ll also oversee the content design in collaboration with internal and external subject experts and kinship carers themselves.

This is a role for a digital leader who is both strategic and hands-on. You should be able to balance innovation with delivery, and big-picture thinking with strong governance. You’ll champion inclusive, accessible and co-produced design, helping Kinship use digital to deliver more impact, insight and empowerment for kinship families.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide digital leadership across the organisation, increasing capability, confidence and collaboration.

Do you have strong partnerships and trusts experience, but also a good understanding of developing individual giving journeys? We are looking for an ambitious and proactive Senior Fundraising Manager to build on our past fundraising activity, diversifying income streams and nurturing new and existing partnerships with industry. In this role, you will also develop our member donations income stream and maximise our fundraising potential with the wider public, including patients and families with experience of intensive care. Working closely with the Head of Communications and Membership Engagement, you will contribute to shaping the fundraising strategy to support our new and enhanced organisational strategy and brand strategy.

Working closely with other members of the senior management team, including the Head of Sponsorship and Events, you will help develop relationships with industry for the long term and in relation to our yearly State of the Art Congress, aimed at the intensive care community.

You’ll have a strong track record in building and managing partnerships, securing grants from charitable trusts and foundations, and delivering successful fundraising campaigns. You will be a strategic thinker, confident communicator, and relationship-builder who is motivated by making a difference. Able to juggle both management and hands-on, operational activities, you’ll be keen to get stuck in and make a difference.

You will sit in a small, dynamic and supportive team also responsible for communications and membership engagement, and you’ll work with closely with them to integrate fundraising messages within our broader communications. You will also have a dotted line to other key teams within the organisation, in a matrix-style working set-up.

As an organisation, we have just reviewed our organisational strategy under the leadership of our new CEO, which means a lot of exciting developments are afoot needing additional funding. About the Role 

This role will lead Media Trust’s climate work. As Senior Programme Manager, you will run our flagship Communicating Climate programme and lead Media Trust’s work on the Diverse Voices programme. You will help us further develop our climate work and ensure our existing programmes are cutting edge and meet the demands of this moment.

This role will directly manage our Communicating Climate programme. The Senior Programme Manager will build on the success of the past five years of the programme and further develop the programme content and structure to maximise impact for participating organisations. With support from a programme co-ordinator, you will ensure the smooth delivery of the programme, including recruiting and managing a cohort of climate organisations; overseeing the budget and timeline; managing our relationships with funders, trainers and partners; and impact evaluation and reporting.

You will also oversee our role in the Diverse Voices programme, which works to amplify the voices of people and communities most impacted by climate change. The programme is run by a consortium of organisations, including Race Equality Foundation, Turn2Us and Disability Rights UK. Media Trust is the media partner, delivering communications-related training and support to the participants. 

Your line manager will be Media Trust’s Head of Charity Services and the role will sit within our charity services team. This Senior Programme Manager role does not currently have any direct line management responsibilities. 

Please note that whilst this is a remote role, the Media Trust team meets in-person in London on a monthly basis and regular travel to London for meetings and events is required. 

Key Responsibilities 

Programme Management of our climate programmes, including: 

• Lead our Communicating Climate programme, ensuring it is high quality, innovative and tailored to the needs and priorities of climate and environmental organisations 

• Recruit and build successive new cohorts of climate charities, user-led organisations and community groups, supporting them through the programme to ensure high levels of engagement and collaboration 

• Recruit and work with trainers and climate experts to develop engaging, practical and tailored training content, activities and resources 

• Plan and ensure the smooth delivery of all activities (including training, workshops, peer to peer networking sessions and other events), ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and lead to planned outcomes 

• Work with Media Trust’s media and creative industry partners to develop tailored training, mentoring and digital resources for the climate and environment sector 

• Manage the Advisory Group for Communicating Climate, which is comprised of leading media organisations, climate charities and sector experts, coordinating regular meetings, building relationships with members and facilitating opportunities for the Advisory Group to shape and input into the direction of the programme 

• Manage relationships with our key programme and sector partners including Climate Outreach, Heard and others, build relationships with a wide range of sector organisations

• Work with media industry partners to design and deliver activities for volunteers from leading media and creative agencies to provide pro bono strategic communications support to climate charities

• Manage the programme budget and financial reporting 

• Lead on the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the programme, ensuring impact is evidenced by high quality data and producing impact reports 

• Maintain up to date knowledge of trends and developments in the climate and strategic communications space and embed these insights into the programme content

• Identify new opportunities for climate work for Media Trust 

• Share key learnings and best practice across our thematic programmes (our other thematic programme is the Stronger Voices Programme).

• Collaborate with our MarComms team to craft compelling copy for various platforms including web, e-marketing, and social media channels

Job purpose

The Communications & Digital Officer delivers creative, high-quality communications that promote the College’s work, products and services, supporting membership recruitment, retention and engagement. The postholder creates, edits and publishes compelling content across digital and print channels, ensuring it reflects the College’s brand, values and priorities. They manage day-to-day digital communications, including website and social media updates, and support the delivery of campaigns, publications and events. Using data and digital insight, they help improve reach, visibility and engagement. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role for a proactive communicator who enjoys turning strategy into impactful, accessible and engaging content and who is keen to develop new skills.

Key responsibilities

Implements communications and marketing activity under the guidance of the Communications Manager.

Content creation and delivery

• Draft, edit and publish engaging, accessible content for the College’s website, newsletters, social media and other marketing platforms.
• Support the production of College News, EyeMail and other publications, ensuring editorial quality and brand consistency.
• Develop multimedia materials (graphics, video, infographics etc.) in collaboration with the Senior Graphic Designer.
• Maintain and update the organisation-wide, multi-channel content plan.
• Manage day-to-day content scheduling and publishing for social media, monitoring engagement and responding appropriately – within the framework set by the Communications Manager.

Digital communications

AtaLoss is recruiting a skilled, motivated and creative Marketing and Communications Executive to help raise national awareness of bereavement and increase engagement with our services across the UK. This full-time role offers the chance to apply your marketing expertise to meaningful, purpose-driven work that supports people who are grieving.

You will lead a variety of marketing and communication activities, including planning and delivering digital and print campaigns, managing social media and website content, producing creative digital assets, supporting PR, media work and Ambassadors, and reporting on performance analytics. You will also assist with events, webinars and exhibitions, working closely with the Director of Communications and Development and collaborating with the Marketing and Income Generation Executive. The Philharmonia Orchestra is seeking a skilled and versatile Digital Media Editor and Coordinator to join its Marketing and Communications team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in a similar role, strong editorial skills, and confidence using key digital media creation platforms.

This new role will play a key part in the orchestra’s digital-first strategy, supporting the creation, editing, and distribution of engaging content across web, social media, and other digital channels. Working closely with the Social Media & Content Manager and Senior Producer, the postholder will help bring the Philharmonia’s concerts and activities to audiences worldwide. Focused on short form, social-first content, this role requires someone with technical proficiency, excellent organisation and a flexible approach to content capture.

Although based at Head Office, the role involves frequent time out of the office with the Orchestra – whether in rehearsals, at concert venues, or on tour. No two weeks will be the same.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and implementation: 

• Work with the Social Media & Content Manager and Senior Producer to plan and deliver the Philharmonia’s short- and long-form digital content in line with marketing and organisational priorities

• Contribute to the orchestra’s digital-first marketing strategy by identifying opportunities for new and engaging content across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok

• Take ownership of specific projects and tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and communication is clear and proactive

• Ensure that all content produced reflects Philharmonia’s visual identity, brand tone, and artistic standards, maintaining consistency across digital and print communications

• Support the effective use of data and analytics to inform decisions about content performance, reach, and audience engagement

• Keep abreast of developments in digital media production, editing software, and social trends, sharing insights and proposing improvements to processes and outputs

Key tasks:

• Edit video, audio, and imagery for web, social, and internal use, ensuring material is produced to a high standard and delivered to agreed timelines

• Assist with content capture at rehearsals, performances, and events, undertaking filming and on-site editing to enable timely release of digital content

• Create motion graphics, captions, and short-form edits tailored for specific social media platforms to maximise engagement and visibility

• Some ad hoc design for print and physical products (i.e. Philharmonia Records, Shopify products, donation boxes etc.)

• Provide light-touch coordination of content schedules and workflows between editors, producers, and departments to ensure smooth delivery and efficient handover of materials

• Support with the management and organisation of media assets using the Philharmonia’s content management and digital asset management systems, applying consistent metadata and archiving standards

• Support cross-departmental campaigns and contribute to the planning and delivery of wider marketing and communications projects

Collaboration:

• Act as an advocate for best practice in digital content creation and file management, encouraging high standards of quality, consistency, and accessibility

• Support and collaborate with colleagues across the Marketing and Communications team, offering technical advice and creative input where appropriate

• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and solutions-focused team culture that aligns with the Philharmonia’s mission and values

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role

• Strong video editing skills using the full Adobe suite

• Working knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects for basic graphics and animation

• Experience managing digital files and metadata within CMS or DAM systems

• Understanding of digital publishing platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)

• A keen eye for visual storytelling and attention to detail

• Ability to work flexibly – including some evenings and weekends – to capture live content as it happens

• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines

• Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive approach to teamwork

• A genuine interest in music, digital media, and the performing arts

You will have a passion for telling powerful, important stories and enjoy pitching to some of the UK’s highest profile journalists, finding news hooks and human interest in the IOP’s cutting-edge research. You will be a quick, accurate and confident writer and have experience in responding to the news agenda and advising colleagues. You’ll be as comfortable creating video and social media content as you are in traditional media and familiar with the challenge of generating and commissioning digital communications.

An understanding and passion for science is also an advantage but far more important is a willingness to learn and engage alongside the ability to communicate, both to scientific and non-scientific audiences, how physics is transforming our world. In the last 12 months alone the IOP communications team has led the UK in helping celebrate the UNESCO International Year of Quantum, produced agenda-shaping policy work on the need to ensure every young person has a specialist physics teacher and raised the alarm about the financial challenges facing university physics departments. The Role

What will I be doing?

• Working with the media as a point of reactive and proactive content – supporting and advising colleagues on their projects and providing a full communications service for IOP policy work.
• Working to support our digital and social strategy, filming content for social media and supporting our online engagement
• Supporting out of hours and monitoring work as required. Playing a full role in the horizon scanning and planning work of the communications and marketing team.

The Head of Communications is a fundamental role within the Somerset Wildlife Trust.

The role is responsible for leading the development and coordinated delivery of the Trust’s communications in line with the Wilder Somerset 2030 strategy. This includes identifying key audiences, crafting core messages, and selecting effective communication channels to raise awareness and understanding of the Trust’s work. The postholder will support staff across the organisation in achieving the strategy’s aims while managing a team of specialists and responding to emerging issues professionally and astutely.

Working across teams, the Head of Communications will develop and deliver an annual communications plan that meets the organisation's priorities.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Responsibility 1: Leadership & Cross Team Working

• Strategic Planning: Lead the development of the communications delivery plan and annual calendar, involving all areas of the Trust, defining key audiences, messages and channels with the aim of increasing awareness and understanding of the Trust. Provide effective leadership and build strong working relationships with departments across the charity to ensure integrated communications plans and campaigns are developed and implemented to achieve the maximum impact with external audiences.
• Communications Delivery Plan: Effective coordination of both messages and activity – both reactive and proactive throughout the year. Including improvements with revised website navigation and architecture, SEO improvements and content targeted at priority groups, including use of video, and influencers.
• Senior Leadership Team: Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team taking collective responsibility for decision making, risk and budget management across the Trust. Work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure all communications effectively contribute to and support all strategic goals of the Trust.
• Brand Marketing: Work with teams to improve our products and services and how these meet the needs of our audiences, including working with focus groups (with co-creation when relevant).
• Building Capability: Coordinate providing support and training for all staff to achieve effective communications, which supports the Trust’s overall brand and positioning, including mentoring the communications team.
• Systems & Processes: Maintain and develop systems for gathering information and communications planning within the Trust and from project partners, RSWT and SWT. Embedding into all teams’ ways of working.

Responsibility 2: Communications Delivery

• Line Management: Manage, support and develop a team of staff and volunteers to deliver the communications work programme, providing effective line management. Including the provision of specialist support and advice for the development of specific communication campaigns or tools across the organisation.
• Budgets: Ensure communication activity elsewhere in the Trust is produced within allocated budgets and timeframes.
• Performance: Set and manage KPIs and budget for communications programmes, monitoring and reporting performance and reforecasting in line with Trust requirements. Continuous improvement.
• Brand: Develop the Trust’s brand, ensuring a clear and distinctive brand proposition and engaging brand identity, which also supports the Trust as part of the Wildlife Trusts movement. Ensure the brand’s consistent use and monitor the link with the Trust strategy and values.
• Public Affairs: Oversee the PR and media relations (press office function), and act as a key charity spokesperson when required. Horizon scanning and being aware of emerging issues to develop opportunistic messages to optimise nature recovery actions.
• Crisis Management: Protect the Trust's reputation by ensuring the effectiveness of robust crisis management plans and the definition of clear policies and position statements.
• Design, Content & Print: Coordinate the Annual Report with teams and Trustees. Editor for the members’ magazine and print products to support membership retention and enable action for nature.

Responsibility 3: Campaigns for Change

• Strategic Campaign Planning: Work with our policy, advocacy and engagement specialists to design campaigns that move people through the engagement funnel, change behaviour, influence policy, and improve supporter retention. Work with the Exec Team to set campaign objectives tied to clear outcomes: acquisition, activation, retention, behaviour change, policy influence, or income generation.
• Supporter Journeys & Segmentation: Map and optimise journeys across channels (email, web, social media, print, events) with named next steps that move people toward deeper engagement and action.
• Marketing Campaign Leadership: Own the strategic design of multi-channel marketing campaigns and provide clear briefs and creative direction to the delivery team. Ensure channel integration so website journeys, email, print content and social media activity are coordinated and measurable. Keep storytelling compelling while optimising for acquisition and action.
• Advocacy & Policy Campaigns: Work across teams to design campaigns to influence systems change by leveraging our data and evidence, combining public voice, stakeholder engagement and targeted advocacy tactics.
• Behaviour Change Campaigns: Work with our engagement specialists to apply social marketing techniques and behavioural frameworks to shift norms and the adoption of actions for nature. Translate data and evidence into interventions that use communication tactics such as prompts, social proof, incentives and nudges to create measurable behaviour change.
