Based in Surrey, the Orpheus Centre is an independent specialist college and charity that focuses on developing independence skills through performing and visual arts and makes dramatic improvements to young disabled adults’ lives.  We are currently looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to develop, coordinate and deliver the charity’s fundraising events and orchestrate experiences from initial concept to post event analysis. This includes pre-event planning and development, concept development and proposal.

Working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, you will design and deliver events which steward and develop key contacts as part of our Capital Appeal.

The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team.  You will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks.

35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Essential qualifications, knowledge and experience:

• At least 2yrs experience of fundraising, marketing or events in a paid or voluntary capacity
• Has worked as part of a team

• Awareness of how to motivate and support volunteers and supporters

Role specifics

We’re looking for someone to provide high-level support to the Director and Senior Leadership Team, acting as the first point of contact for the Director’s office and managing a busy inbox and diary. You’ll lead and support a range of quality and process improvement projects, help coordinate key activities, and ensure everything runs smoothly – from handling correspondence, preparing agendas and board papers, to drafting communications and booking travel. For the wider leadership team, you'll prepare high-quality documents and presentations, manage systems like SharePoint and the intranet, and ensure meetings and away days are well-organised and productive. You'll help monitor progress against strategic objectives, maintain the Directorate Risk Register, and keep projects on track and within budget.

Partnership and Strategy Manager - Western Forest

The Partnerships and Strategy Manager at Western Forest will be responsible for managing and nurturing partnership relations across the Western Forest area. This role ensures that all partners are supported and resourced to develop and deliver the collective vision of the forest, helping to achieve key targets. As Senior Programme Officer, I will support the Head of Commercial Insight & Development to ensure Mental Health UK delivers high quality projects and programmes that:

We’re looking for an experienced, proactive and detail-orientated Website Project Manager to scope and deliver the evolution of our two charity websites, moving each to a more responsive, user-friendly platform which delivers an outstanding supporter experience. 

Sitting within the Marketing and Communications team, this role is pivotal to our digital transformation, ensuring our next generation websites align with our digital marketing strategy and ambitious growth plans. 

A hands-on role, you’ll need a combination of technical knowledge, people skills and expert project management to ensure our new websites meet our evolving aspirations and are delivered on time and within budget. 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Leading the end-to-end ‘new website’ project vision lifecycle including scoping, planning, execution, testing and launch. 

• Defining the project scope, objectives, goals, timelines and deliverables in collaboration with all stakeholders, using data and insight to inform decisions. 

• Managing internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment of expectations between all cross-functional teams.

• Troubleshooting any issues before the site launches, ensuring all technical and performance issues are resolved. 

• Overseeing the migration with continual testing and validation to ensure the website meets the required supporter UX, CRM integration and performance standards. 

• Implementing SEO best practices, translating user research and analytics into actionable website improvements to boost visibility, traffic and enhanced search rankings. 

• Reporting on project status to senior leaders and adjusting plans as needed. 

• Managing the sites’ launch, delivering team training ensuring you’re leaving behind a strong foundation on which we can continually evolve and improve engaging user journeys to increase conversion rates.

We are looking for a Senior Mental Health Advocate – Neurodiversity Specialist

Salary: £29,000- £32,000

About the role:

This is a great chance to be a part of a service working alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield to identify and support women who are identified as being neurodiverse and will be returning to the community. Of that cohort, the Advocate will focus support on women with a mental health need and improve their transition into the community, with ongoing community support; including collaborating with other healthcare professionals to their develop support plans.

The Senior MH Advocate will work in a multi-disciplinary way, including attending the weekly complex case meeting and/or the Safety Intervention Meeting (SIM) as appropriate, they will act as a specialist member of the wider Minerva Criminal Justice Service - London team, to facilitate a pathway for women with complex needs including mental health and neurodiversity needs. The Senior Advocate will create a link between prison and the community, helping women to navigate support services and to positively re-integrate into their community upon release. They will co-design a person-centred support and action plan with women accessing support, enabling to support them to address their needs and any risks. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women.

The Senior Mental Health Advocate will be based in the community and will provide a drop-in service (1-2 day per week) in HMP Bronzefield to support women who are close to release. The role will also include line management of other advocates such as; Specialist Prison & Probation Advocates who will be based in the prison and the Loss & Bereavement Worker who will be providing support in the prison as well as in the community.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

About You:

To be successful as the Senior Mental Health Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

An excellent understanding of mental health, neurodiversity needs violence against women and girls and its links to women in the criminal justice system

Experience of managing/supervising a team of advocates/caseworkers – and leading a team to achieve targets & outcomes as well as appropriately managing and leading the team on any safeguarding concerns/incidents.

You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.

Project Manager 
Contract Duration – 3 to 6 months
Location: Hybrid with typically two or three days a week in the London Office (City) remainder from home.

It’s an exciting time to join the organisation as we evolve the way we work, grow new income streams, and strengthen our influence across the banking sector.  This interim role will be taking on a number of project responsibilities to improve organisational efficiency.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the key priorities will be:

• Lead refresh of the organisational risk register to ensure:
• It accurately reflects the current risks the charity faces

• Consider the content rather than register format
• Lead the review of risk appetite
• Develop a robust but simple methodology to review risk appetite that can be easily repeated annually
• Work with the leadership team, committees and board to understand risk appetite – using whatever tools are appropriate

  You will have a strong background in managing and tracking projects, with prior experience in at least two of charity governance, risk assessment, HR and IT. You will understand the processes of charity governance and you will be able to spot areas where organisational effectiveness can be enhanced. You will have prior experience of working in a charity. An excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, you will be highly organised, able to multi-task effectively and an accomplished project manager. You will possess strong IT skills, an insight into HR practices and great problem-solving skills. You will be able to work collaboratively in addition to being a self-starter. You will be able to process sometimes complex information and deliver it in simple and readable reports and updates for the CEO and senior team.

You will lead all aspects of charity financial and resource management for two separate but closely connected charities, the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) and the Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA), which are supported by a single head office team. We are looking for someone to bring enthusiasm, personal credibility, discretion and sensitivity. You will be ultimately responsible for Finance and Resource Management within the charities.
You will work directly with the trustees of both charities and the wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT) which comprises of the Director of Development, the Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) (Director of HR and Programmes), and the Chief Executive. You will have primary responsibility for ensuring that the charities meet their statutory obligations, that financial functions are well ordered and support the work of the charities.
Managing and leading a small and diverse team through high pressure periods including month end, year-end and annual budgeting, you require high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with staff at all levels, often having to mentor the charities’ managers to help them plan and manage their own budgets.
Your financial responsibilities are substantial as you will have overall control and responsibility for all financial matters. You will be thinking both strategically and seeing the big picture, whilst also analysing figures in detail to ensure that the financial management of both charities are sound. In periods of change and growth, it is critical that you are effective in coordinating corporate finance (funding sources, non-profit capital structuring and investment decisions) and managing charity policies regarding capital requirements to deliver against each charity’s objects and plans, taxation, equity and investments as appropriate.
