Role: Fundraising Executive/Junior Consultant
Reporting to: Head of Fundraising

The Fundraising Executives provide support to the wider Fundraising team assisting with all aspects of fundraising activity. Three Fundraising Executives are managed by the Head of Fundraising and support fundraising activity across 11 segments of income generation.

The Fundraising Executive is a varied role with involvement in each stage of fundraising activity, from research and planning to campaign or event delivery and then income processing and thanking of donors and supporters.

In this role, you will be the face of our friendly and passionate Supporter Engagement Team. You will have the opportunity to support in creating and launching exciting new fundraising products, attend a wide variety of events and add your voice by reviewing current processes which will benefit our fundraisers.
You will work closely with our network of 12 home-based Regional Fundraising Officers (RFOs) as well as our Sporting Events and Corporate Teams. You will be the first point of contact for the majority of our supporters and will offer first-class stewardship to ensure our fundraisers feel well-supported before, during and after their amazing adventures.
You will provide crucial administrative support to the RFOs and all teams in Supporter Led Fundraising (Sporting Events, Corporate, and Marketing and Engagement). This role will be known internally as Fundraising Executive*
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Be the positive, passionate face and first point of contact for the Supporter Led Fundraising (SLF) team.
· Build first-class and long-term relationships through telephone calls and emails with our supporters to ensure they have the best fundraising experience at Alzheimer’s Research UK.
· Provide central stewardship support to a remote-based team of Regional Fundraising Officers (RFOs) to ensure effective delivery of the SLF strategy and budget.
· Provide administrative support for the whole of the SLF team, primarily to the home-based RFOs.
· Support the Sporting Events Team with recruitment and stewardship of events.
· Work with our Corporate Teams to effectively steward our partner companies.
· Ensure consistent cross-working to identify potential opportunities in current and prospective supporters for long lasting relationships across all teams.
· As one of the key fundraising contacts, keep the managers and team up to date with supporter feedback.
· Provide central communications within the organisation on behalf of the team, updating them on upcoming events and projects.
· Attend a variety of events to engage with and cheer on supporters including golf days, regional events and sporting events.
Administrative Support
· Process material requests from fundraising supporters, offering appropriate support while considering charity cost.
· Provide support on fundraising email inboxes e.g. skydive inbox and Walk For a Cure
· Provide further support to the RFOs where necessary including mass printing, franking, booking couriers and personalising thank you letters and certificates.
· Provide additional support on Ad Hoc campaigns such as Facebook challenges.
· Ensure clear, consistent and up to date fundraising data management including adding new constituents to the fundraising database, accurately recording and maintaining supporter details, monitoring and tracking supporter income and making sure supporters are appropriately thanked in a timely manner.
· Support with social media and website updates including virtual fundraising challenges.
· Provide data support to the Senior Officer.
· Ensure all communications are in line with GDPR policies.
· Become the Central coordinator for SLF-wide activities and procedures, e.g. skydives, contactless machines and invoice processing.
Spotting Potential
· As the central point of contact for the SLF team, you will effectively and consistently spot opportunities to build networks among our fundraising community and flag these to the relevant members of the team.
· Identify and research potential community group and business partnerships for SLF teams.
· Use data reports to spot fundraising trends and identify opportunities.
· Help spot opportunities and contact supporters as part of our re-engagement process to encourage repeat fundraising.
· Effectively communicate ARUK’s legacy messages to supporters via telephone and in writing.
Collaboration
· Build strong relationships with teams across the organisation in order to work collaboratively, allowing you to offer the best stewardship journey to our supporters.
· Work with our Supporters and Families Team by sharing fundraiser stories to maximise potential publicity.
· Work closely with teams such as Science Communications, Digital and Design to help create appropriate stewardship journey assets for the whole of SLF.
· Liaise with our Supporter Care team to ensure processes are in-line across the organisation.
· Become involved in a Community Fundraising Project Group, adding creative insight and performing administrative and relationship-building duties based on one of our key fundraising areas.

Additional Information:

The Fundraising Executive (maternity cover) is a key part of our small but busy Community and Events Fundraising Team, leading on key fundraising events and activities, personally supporting individual fundraisers and giving support to the Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager. Key responsibilities

Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it.
Since our founding in 2017, we’ve proudly campaigned successfully for the recognition of economic abuse in UK law and influenced wide-ranging systemic change to transform responses to it. We're now entering an ambitious new phase, and we’re seeking a dynamic, strategic and values-led Head of Income as part of the Senior Leadership Teamto help drive it forward.
This is a critical time for SEA. With a bold three-year strategy now in place, we’re looking for an experienced income-generation leader to oversee and diversify our income streams — across high-net-worth giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and earned income through consultancy and training. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Income will play a vital role in shaping the future of the organisation and enabling us to scale our impact.

About the Role
New Perspectives is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fundraising Manager. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in fundraising, donor engagement, and relationship management who thrives on developing strategies and delivering high-quality written proposals for grants, corporate partnerships, and major donors. You will play a critical role in driving income growth, building a pipeline of prospects, and nurturing meaningful partnerships that advance our artistic mission.
As Fundraising Manager, you will work closely with closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership, leading on mapping and maximising opportunities across a broad spectrum of fundraising activities, including Trusts and Foundations, individual donors, and corporate partners. An ability to understand and translate complex project information into compelling funding proposals will be key to your success.
This is a varied role with plenty of scope for creativity and innovation. You will bring insight and strategic thinking to our income generation activities, using your knowledge of the fundraising landscape to develop multi-year funding bids and engaging stewardship journeys. You will also help to shape and deliver engaging donor communications and impactful reporting.
The ideal candidate is someone who is highly motivated, organised, and thrives working independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team culture and grow a vibrant fundraising portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and write high-quality, targeted funding proposals, including multi-year bids.
- Develop a pipeline of Trusts, Foundations, and corporate prospects in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Create annual impact reports for major donors and generalised updates for other supporters.
- Deliver a rolling fundraising plan for individual and corporate giving.
- Evaluate new income ideas and ensure a balanced portfolio across fundraising streams.
- Support corporate sponsorships and maintain stewardship of donor relationships.
- Ensure all activities complies with GDPR.
Key Experience
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser or development professional with a track record of meeting income targets and developing strong donor and corporate relationships. You will have at least three years’ experience in fundraising, with proven skills in writing compelling funding proposals, creating fundraising materials, and implementing income strategies. A strong understanding of fundraising methods and supporter motivations is essential, as is your ability to communicate charity impact to diverse audiences. You will bring creativity, innovation, and a flexible, problem-solving mindset. Experience in trust and corporate prospect research, and familiarity with fundraising databases and relevant regulations is desirable.

Being a Head of Fundraising at St Wilfrid’s
As an interim Head of Fundraising, covering maternity leave, you will need strong leadership skills, a passion for fundraising with a track record for delivering financial results, and a desire to work for a meaningful cause. This role leads an incredible team of 12 dedicated fundraising professionals who, along with the support of our event volunteers, work tirelessly to support our Hospice. Their dedication to, and care for, our supporters generates over £4 million annually, which is vital for funding our care.
This role is pivotal in ensuring our fundraising department thrives, and will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing and managing a comprehensive fundraising budget, including forecasting for the future, working closely with the Director of Income Generation
- Developing effective fundraising programmes in all revenue streams, identifying priority areas – to enhance the fundraising portfolio of income generation activities; consistently evaluating and adjusting plans and strategies
- Ensuring the close management of income and expenditure, making adjustments where necessary to ensure good financial management
- Leading, building and motivating the Fundraising team, providing leadership and management and overseeing development and training, to enable individuals to reach their full potential
- Collaborating closely with our marketing and retail heads as one of our department leads
Please note this is 30-37.5 hour a week, fixed term contract, until September 2026.
Qualifications and Experience
- Fundraising experience and specialist knowledge at a senior level and in a wide range of fundraising income streams
- Level 7 qualification in Fundraising
- Extensive practical experience at a senior level of leading and developing the skills of a team
- Experience of building high level relationships
- Experience of developing funding propositions, campaigns and securing significant funds in excess of £2m annually
- Experience of successful delivery against targets
- Excellent communication and networking skills

NDAS provides support to all victims who have been the subject of domestic abuse/violence, supports them through the criminal justice system and offers relevant advice and assistance, both practical and emotional.
NDAS empowers victims to make decisions, increase their options, their confidence and safety. Prevention and awareness raising activities are also delivered across Northumberland and counselling to the children of our service users.

Purpose of the job
You will be an important member of the Senior Management Team, supporting the CEO to drive income growth. To be successful in this role you will be a strategic thinker who is highly organised, adaptable and flexible, able to inspire campaigns, appeals and experiences to drive income growth across a range of platforms and linking in potential support to the work of NDAS.
You will form strong working relationships with stakeholders and funders. You will have strong experience of working with partner agencies, negotiating costs, managing contracts and driving performance to achieve targets.
As Fundraising Manager, you will work closely with the CEO and SMT. Also attending the Finance Sub-Group meetings that report into the Board.
Key Accountabilities
1. You will work with the CEO to maintain and implement the Fundraising Strategy.

3. You are accountable for the management, performance and reporting on all income strands.
4. You will work with the CEO to produce a bi-monthly Funding Overview report and projected Income Generation Plans for consideration by the Finance Sub-Group and to be reported to the Board
Responsibilities:
1. Planning, implementing and driving forwards the Fundraising Strategy with a focus on expanding the range and size of income sources.
2. Identify new funding streams from Trusts, Statutory agencies and corporates, and submit funding bids.
3. Manage Individual Giving and Legacies
4. With the CEO produce and maintain an Income Generation Plan with a timeline setting deadlines for the submission of funding applications
5. Work with the CEO and Finance Manager to manage the allocation of costs across the budget and to ensure delivery in line with funding requirements.
6. Work with the SMT to manage and monitor all outcomes associated with each funding stream.
7. Produce funding applications with informative narrative content and robust data
8. Maintain a monitoring schedule and produce reports in line with funder/stakeholder requirements also with informative narrative content and robust data
9. Maintain regular communication with funders and potential funders to build strong working relationships and increase funding opportunities
10. Support the CEO in developing strategic and operational plans for the organisation
11. Monitor and collate other outcomes and achievements of the organisation.
12. Attend the SMT and Team Meetings (as needed).
