Job Purpose
To lead and oversee the delivery of TLC: Talk, Listen, Change’s charitable income generation and fundraising function, driving sustainable income growth through a diverse portfolio of opportunities including commissioning, grant applications, charitable trusts and foundations and fundraising activity. The Head of Development will carry out a mixed role, primarily consisting of informing the strategy, supervising the team and supporting them to secure income - while also directly creating some high-value / high-stakes submissions themselves. The role will play a key part in shaping and delivering the organisation’s growth ambitions, ensuring a strong and balanced pipeline across statutory, commissioned and voluntary income streams. As part of TLC’s Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will act as a senior advisor on charitable income generation opportunities and contribute to the wider strategic direction of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Contribution
- Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team of TLC: Talk, Listen, Change, contributing to organisational strategy, growth and long-term sustainability.
- Work alongside the Group Director of Partnerships and Development and other senior leaders to shape and deliver TLC’s development and charitable income generation strategy.
- Act as a senior advisor on development, funding and growth of charitable income sources for the organisation.
- Take a lead role in fostering a culture of ambition, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Development and Income Generation
- Lead the team to deliver focused and successful development activity across TLC, ensuring a strong and sustainable pipeline of opportunities across: Tenders / commissioning (including pre-market engagement such as soft market testing, actual submissions including PQQs, ITTs, framework applications and presentations / interviews) Charitable trusts and foundations, Grants, Fundraising, Corporate relationships
- Work closely with our: Group Head of Marketing and Communications to create and run exciting, engaging campaigns and projects which grow awareness of and support for TLC, ultimately leading to increased income, Director of Finance To ensure budgets are accurate and bids appropriately costed, Director and Heads of Services To ensure we can deliver safely, securely and effectively, Director of Partnerships and Development To ensure strategic alignment and relationships.
- Ensure a detailed understanding of all tender specifications including a thorough assessment of the implications and requirements of TLC within each opportunity.
- Ensure all submissions are high quality, aligned to TLC values and priorities.
- Work closely with service leads and partnerships colleagues to identify, scope and develop new opportunities.
Leadership and Management
- Provide strong leadership to the Development team, including line management of Development Managers.
- Support a high-performing, collaborative team culture aligned to TLC behaviours and values.
- Ensure effective performance management, supervision, and development of staff (including one-to-ones, appraisals and team meetings).
Performance, Planning and Delivery
- Lead the development and delivery of a clear development plan aligned to organisational strategy.
- Monitor and report on development and fundraising performance, ensuring a data informed approach to decision-making.
- Provide delegated budget management for development and fundraising activity.
- Ensure smooth transition from development activity to service mobilisation, working closely with operational teams.
External Relationships and Profile
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders and partners with regard to charitable income generation opportunities.
- Represent TLC at external forums, networks and events, contributing to sector influence and profile. Governance and Ways of Working

We are looking for a Fundraising Compliance Business Partner to join our Governance team and help embed ethical, proportionate and practical compliance across our fundraising activity.
You will provide practical advice on the Code of Fundraising Practice, Charity Commission expectations, supporter data, PECR, fundraising communications, complaints, vulnerable supporters, third-party fundraising, commercial participation, corporate partnerships, events, prize-led fundraising and other relevant compliance requirements.
You will also help develop the tools, guidance and controls needed to support good decision-making. This may include compliance checklists, campaign review processes, training, monitoring activity, action tracking, risk reporting and lessons learned from complaints, incidents or audit findings.
We are looking for someone with experience of fundraising compliance, risk, audit or assurance, and a strong understanding of how fundraising regulation works in practice. You will be expected to provide constructive challenge where activity creates legal, regulatory, reputational or supporter harm risk, and to escalate issues where they fall outside agreed risk appetite.
You will be confident building relationships, influencing stakeholders and providing constructive challenge. Strong judgement, credibility and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical advice will be essential.

Founded in 2012, Bristol Avon Rivers Trust works across the Bristol Avon catchment to restore rivers for wildlife, people and the local economy.

About the Role
Help shape the future Bristol Avon Rivers Trust (BART).
This is much more than a fundraising role.
You'll have the opportunity to design and lead BART's long-term fundraising strategy, creating entirely new income streams that will support restoration of rivers, education, community engagement, project development and organisational resilience.

What You'll Be Doing
You will:
- Develop and implement BART's Fundraising and Philanthropy Strategy.
- Diversify unrestricted income from individuals, trusts and foundations, philanthropy, corporate partnerships, legacies and other voluntary income streams.
- Develop a compelling organisational Case for Support aligned to BART's Five-Year Strategy.
- Work with the CEO and Leadership Team to establish fundraising priorities and KPIs.
- Lead fundraising campaigns, communications, and supporter engagement initiatives.
- Manage and develop BART's supporter journey using our Beacon CRM system.
- Work closely with our Trust Administrator, who provides administrative support to the organisation, including support for CRM administration and fundraising processes.
- Coordinate fundraising activity across the Trust and ensure opportunities are maximised.
- Build strong relationships with major donors, funders and strategic partners.
- Ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Report regularly to the Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.

The Elizabeth Landmark is seeking a Fundraising Campaign Manager to help shape and deliver fundraising for an ambitious cultural project in Northumberland. 5. Leadership, culture, and capability
Lead and line-manage all fundraising, marketing and communications staff, setting clear priorities, expectations and accountability, and building a confident, high-performing culture aligned with the organisation’s values and Principles.
6. Organisational leadership and profile-raising
Act as the organisation’s most senior income and external-engagement leader, working closely with the CEO and trustees to raise the charity’s profile, influence,
and credibility, contributing actively to collective leadership and strategic delivery.
Experience
Substantial senior-level experience across most areas of income generation, including at least two from:
• voluntary income (e.g. trusts & foundations, legacies, individuals, community)
• marketing and communications
• supporter or audience growth and engagement
• digital fundraising or campaigns
• brand, proposition, or programme development
Proven experience of successfully leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing people, including line management and leadership through influence/matrix working to deliver shared outcomes.
Experience demonstrating a strong understanding of integrated income and
engagement models, with proficiency in leading fundraising, marketing, and communications as a joined-up system rather than discrete functions.
A proven record of developing and implementing income or growth strategy aligned to organisational purpose, values and long-term direction, including delivering measurable results or step-change improvement.

The Outrunners are a running and movement charity based in Hackney, on a mission to empower young people through movement. Backed by an incredible crew of volunteers and partner brands like Nike and Moju, we help young people in East London to build confidence, wellbeing, health and leadership skills.
We deliver free, fun, sociable, youth‑led running and movement sessions for 8–18 year olds every week - during term time and holidays. But we’re about more than just running. Our achievements
We’re a small charity but we pack a mighty punch. Our income has grown year-on-year since we became a charity 6 years ago - allowing us to expand our core team and move into office premises large enough to incorporate a Youth Hub. Hosted a free Girls’ Festival for 100+ ethnically diverse young girls, allowing them to try running sessions, creative classes and yoga experiences in a safe and empowering environment.

Hosted free training academies for ethnically diverse women and young people aged 16-21 to train for their very first half or full marathons! We offered physical, emotional and logistical support throughout their training journey and cheered on every single one of them as they ran either the Hackney Half or the London Marathon under the Outrunners name. Since programme launch, we have worked with over 250 people in our Academies.

What do we want?
We are seeking an experienced fundraiser for a strategic and hands-on role who loves working in a small, ambitious charity and wants to help shape the next stage of growth at The Outrunners (current annual income circa £350k).

Quest for Learning is an education charity working to close the gap for primary school children in Oxfordshire who are falling behind due to disadvantage.

You will work closely with the CEO, programme staff and trustees, with access to strong impact data, established programmes and a compelling case for support.
Key responsibilities
Community and partnership fundraising
- Build and develop relationships with local businesses, community groups and supporters
- Identify and develop opportunities for corporate partnerships, sponsorship and community fundraising
- Represent Quest for Learning at meetings, networking events and community activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with local organisations including schools, Rotary clubs, WIs, businesses and civic groups
- Support the development of fundraising campaigns, partnership opportunities and supporter initiatives
- Help grow Quest for Learning’s visibility and supporter network across Oxfordshire
- Work with the CEO and trustees to identify and cultivate new opportunities and introductions
Supporter engagement and stewardship
- Build positive and professional relationships with supporters and partners
- Ensure strong communication and stewardship with supporters
- Help supporters and organisations engage meaningfully with Quest for Learning’s mission and impact
- Support the development of compelling fundraising messaging and supporter communications
- Gather and share stories, outcomes and examples of impact with supporters and partners
Organisational contribution
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Quest for Learning’s fundraising function and systems
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation
- Represent Quest for Learning professionally and passionately to external audiences
- Contribute ideas and insight to support organisational growth and sustainability
- Maintain accurate records of partnerships, communications and activity within Beacon CRM

We recognise that strong fundraisers and partnership-builders do not always come from traditional charity fundraising backgrounds. If you have transferable skills and experience in areas such as partnerships, account management, business development, communications, education, customer relationships, sales, marketing or community engagement - and are excited by our mission - we would strongly encourage you to apply.

- 0.5 FTE with flexible working arrangements
- Hybrid role combining home working with one regular day or half-day per week in Abingdon/Oxfordshire
