To lead the Corporate Fundraising team to raise over £1.5m annually, from existing and new corporate partners, through a clear team strategy, pipeline development, cultivating and managing high-value partnerships and supporting direct line reports.

Responsibilities:
Strategy, budgeting and reporting

Drive CALM’s corporate fundraising revenue, looking for opportunities to optimise and grow.

Use data, insight and subject matter expertise to inform strategy, budgeting and reporting.

Deliver the corporate fundraising strategy, which focuses on partnership growth and extensions, as well as winning new business - keeping CALM’s values, brand, tone of voice and objectives in mind.

Achieve the annual targets agreed for corporate fundraising.

Steer product development and ideation to develop engaging and revenue driving opportunities across corporate fundraising.

Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practice, with a view to use these to increase CALM’s income.
Leadership and Line Management

Excellent leadership and line management of ~3 team members, supporting them to achieve their objectives and creating a high-performing team.

Provide regular feedback on team performance against targets to the Head of High Value Fundraising, highlighting risks, mitigation plans and future projections that can help the fundraising team budget with confidence.

With guidance and support from the Head of High Value Fundraising, be the ultimate decision maker for all things corporate fundraising including (but not limited to) team processes, workload, priorities, structure and recruitment.

Build excellent working relationships with internal teams at CALM and collaborate with them effectively.

Support improvements to working practice, process and knowledge across the High Value team to drive efficiency and improved ROI.

Consistently demonstrate CALM’s values.

Partnership Management

Support the Corporate Fundraising team in delivering excellent relationship management to all of CALM’s high value partners, with a focus on building long-term, sustainable support and revenue.

Be responsible for the creation of robust partnership plans from across the team, incorporating the objectives of both the partner and CALM and agreed, realistic fundraising targets.

Ensure partnership milestones and fundraising targets are monitored, met, reported on and celebrated with key internal and external stakeholders.

When needed, lead by example and personally provide excellent relationship management to a small number of CALM’s key high-value corporate partners significantly contributing to the corporate fundraising budget and strategy.

Confidently represent CALM at key meetings and events, where public speaking and the delivery of CALM Champion Workshops may be required.

Work closely with the Services, Data and MarComms teams to build. engaging impact reports for partners that encourage long-term support.

Devise sustainable exit strategies for partners that leave behind a lasting legacy for CALM.
New Business

Together with the Corporate Fundraising team, develop a strong pipeline of new partnership opportunities with a focus on £50k+ multi-year partnerships.

Lead on, and support the Corporate Fundraising Managers to, cultivate and secure new high-value partnerships, with a focus on five and six figure opportunities in line with our ambitious targets. This could include, but not limited to, prospect research, making proactive approaches, hosting or attending networking events, writing compelling proposals and applications, pitching, leading staff votes and leading on contract negotiations.

Significant experience of working in corporate fundraising, with highly developed skills in both new business and account management, and examples of securing and managing six figure corporate partnerships.

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary, strategic and experienced leader from the charity sector to lead our efforts to provide media, communications and digital skills training and other support for charities, secure more funding and in-kind support for our work, and develop our relationships with relevant stakeholders including other charities, infrastructure organisations like NCVO, government bodies, and trusts and foundations.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies and new initiatives to drive growth and innovation in the range of charity services (paid and un-paid) we currently provide, drawing on sectoral insights and taking a user-led approach as much as possible.

Programme Oversight & Line Management: Manage the delivery to a very high standard of all our charity capacity-building and training programmes, including being a highly effective line manager for our team of dedicated charity services programme managers.

Grant Writing and Income Generation: Develop funding proposals and grant applications to secure new and repeat funding support for Media Trust's charity programmes and activities and lead the development team in meeting income targets through paid for training for clients including charities and funders.

Partnership Development: Forge effective partnerships with relevant stakeholders including other charities, infrastructure bodies like NCVO, ACEVO and The Heritage Alliance, as well as delivery partners including Equally Ours and Climate Outreach, government bodies, and trusts and foundations.

What we are looking for in you

Senior Leadership Experience: Proven track record of senior leadership in the charity sector, ideally at an infrastructure or membership organisation, including line management experience and responsibility for managing budgets.

Training & Capacity Building Programme Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in designing, delivering and measuring the impact of training and other capacity-building programmes for charities and under-represented communities, ideally by strengthening their media, communications and/or digital skills.

Business Development: Demonstrated expertise in designing and pitching for paid for training and other services.

Grant Writing Experience: Strong grant writing skills with a successful history of securing funding from diverse sources including government grants, trusts and foundations, and corporates.

About The Role

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a medical charity in their search for the Senior Event Manager. Senior Events Manage will be responsible for organising the full calendar of fundraising events, including sporting/challenge, bespoke, special and community events.
As a Senior Events Manager you will:
- Line manage the Community and Events Executive
- Engage with local and large businesses and corporate bodies to actively engage them with challenge and community events
- Organise and secure sponsorship for special events such as the annual Gala Dinner, Supporters Thank You Evening, Christmas Carol Concert
- Work alongside the Communications Team as well as manage relationships with external designers, printers etc to create and produce a range of publicity materials
- Oversee the maintenance of contact with challenge participants in the lead-up to each event, providing fundraising advice and training support, as well as pre-event motivational activities/meetings.
In order to be successful, you must have :
- Significant experience in Fundraising Events
- Line management experience
- Demonstrable experience leading Community, Challenge and Special events
- Strong organisational and time-keeping skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enthusiastic and positive approach to supporting event participants
- Confident in talking to groups and attending events, speaking about the charity

About the role
We are looking for a creative, pro-active and outgoing Corporate Relationship Manager to join our team who can build on our successful corporate partnership programme. This is an exciting role that combines new business and account management, implementing Shooting Star Children’s Hospices corporate fundraising strategy with the aim of maximising income from corporate partnerships.

Mind's Partnerships Fundraising team - part of the wider fundraising directorate - is responsible for generating income from major donors, charitable trusts and foundations, the statutory and corporate sectors.
The New Corporate Partnerships team is comprised of a head of team, two senior managers, two senior officers, three officers and one assistant.
The New Corporate Partnerships team has been at the forefront of securing some fantastic partnerships for Mind such as, Allianz, Bupa, Co-op, Direct Line, Dunelm, ITV, McLaren Racing, and McVitie's, to name a few. Our partnerships cover the spectrum of partnership types; strategic and Charity of the Year partnerships (COTYs) and brand and commercial partnerships. You will help us build on our success.

Our corporate partnerships play a huge role by helping us, raise income to achieve our strategic goals and adding value to businesses and society through our partnerships, including raising public awareness and reaching new audiences.
Key duties and responsibilities
The post holder will:
Working with the Head of New Partnerships, the New Corporate Partnerships Manager will:
-Help develop and implement the Corporate Partnerships team's new partnerships strategy, working closely with the Head of New Corporate Partnerships and other team members.
-In year one, be accountable for delivering an individual income target for 22/23 and supporting the overall New Partnerships Teams' multi-year income targets and ROI, working with the Head of New Corporate Partnerships and reviewing progress on a monthly and quarterly basis.
-Lead and develop opportunities from the Charity of the Year (COTY) and commercial/strategic pipeline, including developing and stewarding relationships, submitting proposals, leading on pitches, while working with various teams across Mind.
-Project Manage high level bids, to engage internal teams, create clear project plans including: roles and responsibilities, senior stakeholder briefing and internal feedback.
-Identify networking opportunities across Mind and externally for potential corporate partnerships
-Develop stewardship plans for top prospects, including Mind senior leadership and trustee engagement and roles, taking a collaborative approach and balancing impact and effort across opportunities
-Line manage two New Corporate Partnerships Officers who will support with the development of pitches and lead their own opportunities with your support
-Lead and assist with the design of new partnership agreements with companies to ensure that expectations from both parties are met and the interests of Mind are looked after, and risks are mitigated.
-Work proactively with the Corporate Partnerships team managers and support the wider team to renew, deliver and grow holistic, donor-focused partnerships where appropriate.
-Work with colleagues across Mind to identify the potential and manage the risk in new partnerships, ensuring that Mind's ethical policy and charity legislation is adhered to.
-Monitor, analyse and review information on industry trends, innovations and developments, keeping the pipeline updated.
-Represent the Partnerships team in appropriate working groups, workshops and/or meetings/other events as directed.
-Monitor and evaluate new business activity and provide regular updates/reports to the Head of New Corporate Partnerships.
-To use the CRM database to enter, update and extract accurate information to maximise operational benefits and opportunities from the database system.
-To support the new partnerships team and have delegated responsibility from time to time, in the absence of the Head of New Partnerships.
-To undertake other duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and grade of this post.
