• A minimum of 5 years’ demonstrable experience in a church partnerships or business development role
• Strong initiative and organisational skills including the ability to establish appropriate processes and structures and to manage multiple priorities to meet targets and deadlines
• Strong quantitative skills including ability to work with and interpret impact data, fundraising pipelines and basic financial information

Key Responsibilities

National Growth

• Develop strategy for national growth and ensure effective delivery of strategy, with a focus on growing our work in unserved and developing regions of the UK and building a diverse range of church partners
• Engage with thinking around the intersection between social impact, employability and the church to ensure we are at the cutting edge within the sector, developing an understanding of local needs and challenges and how Resurgo can best inspire and equip partners to catalyse sustainable and impactful social change.
• Work with wider leadership team to understand and fine tune barriers to growth, including considering recruitment and operations support needed by partner churches, and funding avenues and the operation of the seed fund, which provides start-up funding to churches in the early years of launching a Spear centre.

Pipeline Development

• Identify, build, and develop relationships with potential partners through networking at Christian conferences and running our own events, identifying and introducing our work to key networks, and offering relevant coaching sessions as a means for churches to understand Resurgo’s coaching, employability and impact management.
• Introduce potential and existing partner churches to the Spear programme as a means of creating sustainable social impact in their community, particularly with young people, and provide opportunities for them to engage with the programme with a view to considering launching a centre in their own community where this is a good fit.
• Build a pipeline of potential Spear partners, and steward these relationships from the point of introduction, through to confirmation of programme launch, reporting to the Senior Leadership team against monthly KPIs and annual growth targets.
• Work closely with the Impact team and Director of External Relations to consider the ‘client’ journey of a church from point of initial interest to uptake of one of our programmes

New Centre Set-up and Implementation

• Oversee a team who project manage the launch of new Spear centres in partnership with local churches, including overseeing all
  practical and operational aspects of the centre setup, recruiting new coaches, and ensuring required policies and systems
  are in place.

Active Participation in the Philanthropy and wider Resurgo Mission

The Fundraising team is a dynamic group of fundraisers all passionate about raising money for our life-changing work in the mental health and mental illness space. This role is suited to an experienced charity partnerships professional who is keen to make their mark in the mental health sector. As a senior leader, you will work collaboratively across Fundraising, Senior Leadership and the wider departments of Mental Health UK, Rethink Mental Illness and other charities in the Mental Health UK group. You will effectively lead and nurture a growing team to evolve our partnership offering, create new and dynamic partnerships and drive an ambitious pipeline with the potential to change the mental health landscape in the business community and beyond.

Compassion in World Farming is the leading international farm animal welfare charity, campaigning to improve the lives of millions of farm animals through advocacy, lobbying for legislative change and positive engagement with the global food industry. Our work is based on scientific evidence and best practice and as such we are recognised as the credible partner on farm animal welfare to the major food retailers, food service companies and manufacturers.

Compassion’s established international Food Business programme aims to drive transformational change for animal welfare enabled by a reduction in the reliance on animal sourced foods and a shift towards regenerative farming. We are now seeking an experienced regenerative farming expert to join our Food Business team.

About the role

The Regenerative Farming Manager is a new and exciting solutions-based role at CIWF! The core purpose is to inspire, inform and persuade Corporates in the UK to shift towards more regenerative farming practices as part of our mission to end factory farming. Responsibilities include building a strong network within the regenerative farming community and other relevant organisations developing tools and resources to help build the business case for change. The candidate will be the Food Business expert on regenerative farming practices and principles within Compassion’s Food Business programme. The role will involve working closely with companies to secure meaningful commitments towards regenerative farming within their sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) frameworks.

Additionally, the Regenerative Farming Manager will play a pivotal role in recognising progress within the industry by managing initiatives, such as the Sustainable Food and Farming Award process, which rewards and promotes companies making strides in regenerative practices. As part of this role the candidate will also represent Compassion in World Farming at industry forums, roundtables, and coalitions, advocating for regenerative farming practices and ensuring our mission is communicated effectively.

In support of Mercy Corps’ mission, the global Corporate and Foundation Partnerships team manages Mercy Corps’ fundraising relationships with major global companies and foundations. The Position 

The Communications Officer, Global Corporate & Foundation Partnerships will focus on two key workstreams: 1) Implementing the communications and profile-raising strategy for the Development team’s $250M Climate: Possible global campaign and 2) Communications projects supporting European corporate and foundation partners. Working closely with the Communications Director, Global Corporate & Foundation Partnerships, and the Senior Director of Development in Europe, this position will coordinate across internal teams, including fundraising relationship managers and communications and marketing team members, and liaise directly with external partners.

Essential Responsibilities 

CLIMATE: POSSIBLE COMMUNICATIONS & PROFILE-STRATEGY SUPPORT (60%)

●Support the execution of the Climate: Possible communications plan, including managing the creation of thought leadership deliverables, developing written and other creative content, and coordinating internal reviews.

●Create an editorial calendar, develop and track an ongoing stream of content for executive and agency social media channels that highlights Mercy Corps’ expertise in climate adaptation programming.

●Event support, including developing briefing documents, talking points, invitation copy, and social media promotion for external climate conferences and events and Mercy Corps-organised corporate and foundation partnership events.

●Create new deliverables and update the existing suite of Climate: Possible marketing materials, as needed.

GENERAL COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT FOR CORPORATE & FOUNDATION AUDIENCES (35%)

●Contribute to the development and implementation of multi-channel profile-raising strategies in support of the European strategic plan. Contribute to the profile and influence strategy to raise Mercy Corps’ profile with key corporate and foundation donors and prospects.

●Manage emergency response coordination for the Global Corporate and Foundation Partnership teams in partnership with the Global Sr. Communications Officer. Write emergency response communications (creating and sourcing content from internal teams), including email solicitations and updates, and help create donor deliverables, including decks and webinars to support emergency response fundraising amongst Corporate and Foundation partners.

●Source, transform, and create content into compelling Corporate and Foundation audience-specific products, including emails, blog and social posts, pitch decks, fact sheets, and videos.

●Serve as the communications lead, in partnership with corporate relationship managers, for corporate co-fundraising opportunities and submission prizes and competitions.

●Support strategic employee communications efforts for top European corporate partners in partnership with the Employee Engagement Officer.

●Monitor social media accounts of key Corporate and Foundation partners, and draft suggested posts for executive or agency engagement. 

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND TEAM PROCESS IMPROVEMENT (5%) 

• Develop and maintain internal documents to track communications projects and evaluate and prioritise communications opportunities with partners.
• Stay abreast and socialize internal communications resources and general fundraising communication trends with the Corporate and Foundation teams.
