The Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) is the representative body for Directors of Public Health in the UK. It has a rich heritage, with its origins dating back more than 160 years and is a collaborative organisation working in partnership with others to maximise the voice for public health.

We are now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through the next phase of its evolution, maintaining and building upon its established reputation and influence. The role requires a wide-ranging set of skills, capabilities and experience, proven leadership and credibility at the highest level. The successful candidate will have strong negotiating and influencing skills, and the ability to work independently, with board-level accountability, and be expected to develop and sustain extensive national networks across local authorities, the NHS, the voluntary sector and central Government. Possessing an adaptability in working practice together with a self-motivated, proactive approach that performs well under pressure, the successful candidate will be educated to Masters level with ongoing study in public health. In addition, they should have senior management training or equivalent experience and a clear record of continuing professional development. Experience should include at least five years in the public health environment, including in policy development, plus a minimum of three years in operational, financial and resource management.

Accountable to our Board of Trustees and the wider membership, the new CEO will develop the strategic direction of the Association and lead the organisation to deliver a rolling medium-term Strategic Business Plan, balanced budgets and effective governance in compliance with company and charity law. An ability to prioritise planned and reactive work programmes to meet the needs of our membership is required, alongside the sourcing and delivery of timely bids for external funding together with the management of staff and resources to ensure value for money and staff wellbeing.

The post holder will support the President, Vice‑President, Board and ADPH Council by applying public health knowledge through teaching, coaching, publishing and presenting as appropriate, maintaining a personal programme of continuing professional development, and be expected to uphold the Association’s values of members first, excellence, collaboration, inclusion and professionalism. Occasional travel, throughout the UK, and flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work will also be necessary.

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

CoppaFeel! is looking for a Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager to oversee the production of high-quality health information and resources and lead on CoppaFeel!’s healthcare engagement work.

The Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager will sit within the CoppaFeel! Education Department and will work closely with the Head of Services and Health Information & Services Manager.

The Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager will be responsible for leading our work in the health engagement space. They will play a key role in supporting the strategic direction of this work and provide insight and sector knowledge to support decision making within the leadership team. This will involve building strong relationships with clinicians and healthcare stakeholders, enhancing CoppaFeel!’s role in the healthcare sector.

The Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager will have oversight of the production of our health information and resource portfolio. This role ensures that all health resources are accessible, impactful, and trusted, meeting the highest standards, including those required by the Patient Information Forum Tick Accreditation.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will also be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Health Engagement

• Work closely with the Head of Services to set the strategy for CoppaFeel!’s work in the healthcare space.
• Provide vision and direction to support departmental growth in healthcare engagement, ensuring alignment with overall organisational goals.
• Drive the development of new and existing strategic initiatives to engage healthcare professionals, ensuring messaging remains relevant, builds credibility and reflects developments in breast cancer in the healthcare space.
• Work closely with the Senior Policy & Influencing Manager to strengthen links between influencing and the delivery of health engagement initiatives.
• Work closely with the Senior Programmes Manager to support the development of regional engagement work and the development of relationships across Cancer Alliances.
• Work collaboratively internally and externally to understand the needs of different healthcare audiences and work with teams across the organisation to develop engagement initiatives that increase knowledge and confidence of breast cancer in younger people.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key clinicians and expert stakeholders to enhance CoppaFeel!’s presence within the healthcare space.
• Lead on the design and delivery of training for healthcare professionals encouraging the integration of CoppaFeel!’s resources into their practice.
• Lead and manage CoppaFeel!’s Medical Advisory Group, ensuring it evolves in line with organisational needs.

Health Information

• Work with the Head of Services to set strategic direction in relation to resources, health information content and the production process.
• Provide expert advice and guidance at both strategic and operational levels on best practice approaches to delivering high quality health information and resources, with a focus on optimising reach and impact.
• Hold responsibility for the continued accurate and consistent development of the charity's Health Information provision.
• Oversee the creation and dissemination of high-quality health information, ensuring it is accessible, accurate, and meets accreditation standards required by the Patient Information Forum.
• Provide direction to the Health Information and Services Manager in development and delivery of a portfolio of materials, resources and reminder services.

Strategy & Management

• Support initiatives to ensure that CoppaFeel! Staff are knowledgeable and up to date with issues around breast cancer in younger people.
• Design and deliver internal Health Information team training across the organisation.
• Line manage the Health Information & Services Manager and the Health & Services Executive, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Represent CoppaFeel! in media opportunities where appropriate to communicate key health messaging.
• Work with the Impact & Evaluation manager to ensure robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks are in place to track the effectiveness and impact of our work.
• Collaborate with the Senior Engagement & Inclusion Manager to ensure that all health information and engagement strategies are inclusive, accessible, and representative of diverse communities.
• Manage departmental budgets ensuring efficient use of resources and supporting and informing phasing and re-forecasting.
• Support the development and implementation of operational plans. Ensuring that projects are tightly managed and delivered on time and within budget

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Extensive experience leading the delivery of health engagement initiatives.
• Proven experience in the design and delivery of education and training for healthcare professionals.
• Awareness of clinical policy and practice changes influencing health care practice and delivery.
• Knowledge of Healthcare professional culture, NHS systems, primary care settings, and breast cancer services.
• Proven experience in developing and writing health information and applying health literacy best practices.
• Strong ability to understand medical information and how this can be translated into clear, accessible messaging.
• Experience managing health information production processes, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Experience managing multiple projects with the ability to oversee competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience managing budgets.
• Previous experience line managing a small team, with a focus on team development.
• Outstanding collaboration skills with both external and internal stakeholders and ability to manage relationships with confidence.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Understanding of EDI principles in service delivery.

Desirable

• Awareness of developments in the clinical research space and how this might influence healthcare practice.
• Strategic planning experience in the health or charity sector.
• Experience representing organisations in media or public communications, or a willingness to be trained.

About the team

The Senior Global Fundraising Manager will report to the Global Lead for Communications and Fundraising (Executive Director), currently based in WaterAid UK. They will be an integral member of the Global Communications and Fundraising Executive, made up of senior colleagues from across the WaterAid federation.

The WaterAid Federation consists of the International Secretariat, 7 members - Canada, USA, UK, Sweden, India, Japan and Australia, 3 Regional hubs and 22 country programme offices.

About the role

This role will play a strategic part in driving income growth across the WaterAid federation by proactively collaborating and learning, and seeking opportunities to strengthen our collective action, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness. Critically they will play a lead role in developing a long-term global income plan, ensuring that we make the best collective decisions for organisational growth and impact, and ensuring that risk is managed globally. The role holder will work closely with the Executive Director who is the Global Lead for Communications and Fundraising, in overseeing and driving action through the Global Communications and Fundraising Executive (GCFE) made up of communications and fundraising leaders across the federation; and leading key initiatives identified by this group.

In this role, you will;

• Lead the process for the development of a long-term global income generation plan/strategy which maps WaterAid’s growth trajectory, income stream balance, and required enablers and dependencies.
• Takes a lead role in global fundraising projects which address the enablers and dependencies identified in the plan for multiple markets. This could include identifying new approaches such as emergency fundraising; addressing processes and ways of working holding us back; driving efficiencies through centralised procurement.
• Lead on quarterly global performance monitoring and trend analysis – ensuring and supporting all members to provide a qualitative and quantitative overview which enables us to identify trends, opportunities and threats and act upon them. Reporting key findings to WaterAid International where required
• Monitor risk across the income portfolio and support senior fundraisers in managing and mitigating risk identified.
• Identify and coordinate/lead global income generation activities which require central management – including project management of key programmes of work.
• Ensure global engagement in key initiatives is relevant and easy, with low resource impact, for smaller members and Country Programmes (CPs).
• Support the Global Lead for Communications and Fundraising with initiatives which drive global alignment, transparency and effectiveness.

To be successful, you’ll need:

• Demonstrable experience in working on global initiatives with globally dispersed teams
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills with the ability to drive integration and alignment. 
• Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders from across a range of cultures, locations and backgrounds
• Experience of developing complex plans and strategies - monitoring and reporting against them
• Strong knowledge of fundraising practices and experience delivering fundraising campaigns (restricted or unrestricted income generation)
• Ability to analyse fundraising data and create narrative and actions from that to shape continuous improvement

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Knowledge of all fundraising streams – public fundraising, philanthropy and trusts, corporate and institutional
• Knowledge of different fundraising markets.
• Ability to flex working hours to ease time zone challenges

Job Purpose 

We are looking for an exemplary people-oriented administrator to provide administrative support to the Gestalt Centre CEO and the workstreams she manages. The Senior Economic Empowerment Partnerships Manager is responsible for raising awareness of the growing threat of economic abuse. An experienced project manager with experience of managing services for victims of domestic violence and/or other forms of gender-based violence, the post holder will work with the Heads of Service to implement Refuge’s tech strategy to ensure that Refuge continues to learn about and respond to changing economic developments with a particular focus on technology and victims of domestic abuse.

The post-holder will work across all services and will work closely with the Fundraising Team and Head of Services to develop an economic fundraising strategy to ensure that the role generates income through partnerships and consultancy with the financial sector by raising awareness of economic abuse and technology-facilitated abuse. The post holder will work closely with the Policy Team to feed into legislative asks relating to economic abuse, to better improve responses for survivors both in legislation and in the financial sector. We are looking for candidates with extensive practical experience of supporting a diverse range of victims of domestic violence and/or other forms of gender-based violence. In-depth understanding of economic abuse, and how it is used against women and girls and how this form of abuse is a barrier for women leaving a relationship. Current, up to date knowledge and understanding of the legislation that impacts survivors of economic abuse and in-depth understanding of the needs of survivors and their children impacted by economic abuse.

GROW is a site-based organisation, and our farm sits at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a Managing Director who is as comfortable talking with students, volunteers and visitors as they are shaping strategy and leading the organisation’s future. Sea-Changers’ vision is a future where the UK’s seas and shores are clean and healthy and marine species and habitats are protected. Our grants seek to support communities of Sea-Changers – people who care about the seas and want to take practical action to make a difference. Through our grants we enable diverse, grassroots and community-led marine conservation across the UK.

Doubling our income to over £300,000 in 2025 has catalysed Sea-Changers to move from a volunteer-led charity to a sustainable organisation with a dedicated staff team. To enable this, we are seeking to appoint our first Executive Director. This new role will work alongside the Co-Founders and our Board of Trustees and lead the transition from a volunteer-led operation to a staff-led organisation.

Join our Community Fundraising Team and play an important part in stewarding some of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity’s most dedicated supporters. Line managing the Community Fundraising Assistant, you will effectively steward existing community and corporate supporters, identify new prospects and develop initiatives to engage our audiences.

No two days will ever be the same in this role: one day you might be visiting a golf club or meeting a supporter for a cheque presentation, the next you could be working to grow our ambassador programme, pitching to a corporate team, or finding a new way to engage our supporters. What you’ll be doing:

- Deliver best in class stewardship to develop long term relationships

- Line manage a Community Fundraising Assistant to ensure they achieve their objectives

- Identify and develop fundraising initiatives to engage community fundraising supporters in line with the Charity’s strategy

- Identify opportunities to raise awareness of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity including giving talks and presentations, and attending local events

- Work with other teams within the Charity, including Finance, Data, PR, Marketing and other fundraising teams to maximise best practice and supporter experience
