High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Children, Young People & Families (CYPF) to join our senior management team and lead one of our core service areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a wide-ranging CYPF service that directly supports over 400 children and young people each year, and many more through partnerships. You will lead the newly redeveloped Tulse Hill Adventure Playground, ensuring it thrives as a hub for children, young people and families, alongside a portfolio of impactful programmes including school-based mentoring, young leaders’ programmes, family stay-and-play, and peer-led social action.

Supported by our Adventure Playground Manager and a team of youth and play workers, this is an incredibly exciting time for the service – the newly built structures, alongside a small animal area and a growing area, are ready to build an ambitious service around that meets the needs and interests of local children and families.

High Trees is also the lead partner in Building Young Brixton (BYB) – a consortium of 10 youth organisations working with 2,000 young people across Lambeth – which you will coordinate, alongside contributing to the Lambeth Peer Action Collective.

Our Head of CYPF plays a key leadership role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement. You will bring significant experience in youth or community work, with the skills to manage multifaceted services, lead teams, and build strong partnerships with local organisations, schools and statutory bodies. By working closely with our team and partners, you will help ensure that children and young people in Lambeth have the opportunities and support they need to thrive.

We’re looking for a Direct Marketing Executive who has excellent knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment is vital, you’ll also be able to demonstrate your knowledge and/or experience of stewarding donors by understanding the importance of meeting their needs.

You’ll possess first class communication skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage expenditure budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance. • Management of teams and contracts in the Finance and Resources Directorate

You’ll work closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees to support our strategic vision and ensure sound financial stewardship to deliver support for survivors now and into the future.  The position is offered on a flexible, hybrid and part time basis. 

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Professionally qualified (or equivalent) in finance management and accountancy
• Experienced and deeply knowledgeable in senior financial leadership and strategy development in the voluntary sector/an equivalent size charity 
• A skilled and experienced leader and manager of people, contracts and major service change projects
• Collaborative, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving
• Committed to feminist principles and to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Ideally also skilled in overseeing IT, building and premises management and information governance, with training and support available where required. 

As well as experienced Directors, this role would also suit an exceptional Head of Finance looking to step up into their first Director role.

We’re looking for an interim Head of International High Value Fundraising, who will take the lead on high value fundraising for our international work, ensuring our work can impact dogs and their owners across the world.

What does this role do?
As Head of International High Value Fundraising, you'll:

• lead the International High Value Fundraising team, providing direction and day-to-day leadership to inspire and support the team in cultivating transformational giving. Motivate and empower colleagues to unlock major opportunities in the United States and strengthen our approach in other regions.
• partner with other fundraising teams across Dogs Trust and our international partners, World Veterinary Service and Mission Rabies, to enhance and align global philanthropy strategies. Identify and pilot innovative approaches to generating significant new income and building long-term, sustainable partnerships.
• personally manage a portfolio of high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and major donors, leading on all aspects of relationship management, from prospect identification and tailored proposal development to bespoke stewardship and long-term engagement that secures six-, seven-, and eight-figure gifts,
• represent Dogs Trust internationally, strengthening our global profile and cultivating relationships that increase awareness of, and secure substantial philanthropic support for, our international programmes.

This role is being offered as a fixed term, family leave cover role until January 2027. Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for Friday 21st November 2025, however, we may invite suitable candidates to interview for the role sooner. Interviews will take place on Teams.

Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a dynamic, innovative senior fundraiser, with a breadth of experience across different fundraising modalities in the international context, ideally with some experience of setting up a new function. You’ll have excellent communication and partnership management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with varied internal and external stakeholders. This is a growing, changing role with lots of moving parts, so we’re looking for a someone who is flexible and adaptable, who proactively identifies challenges and opportunities. We’d love to hear from candidates who hit the ground running, and enjoy taking the lead on a new, exciting area of work. Above all, you’ll need a commitment to the work we do, and understand the importance of this work internationally.

As Fundraising & Communications Director, you’ll lead Baytree’s fundraising, communications, and corporate engagement—driving income and influence making it possible for even more girls and women to achieve their potential. You’ll report to the CEO and play a key role on the Senior Management Team, shaping strategy and unlocking new opportunities for growth.

What the job involves

Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of owned products, activities and events, in addition to third-party challenges. Alongside our two owned events, March for Men and the Grand Depart Classic, we also recruit teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

In this role, you’ll project manage a number of third-party events which take place across the UK, including our teams at the London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Royal Parks Half Marathon. You’ll also be tasked with identifying new opportunities across the UK in the charity events market.

Your responsibilities will span the full event cycle; from setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to building supporter communications, managing event logistics, providing on-the-day support, and overseeing remittance and thanking — ensuring we maximise income and deliver exceptional supporter experiences.

Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events and take the lead with supporting our volunteers at our events. Working with our Communications teams, you’ll ensure that we make the most of every opportunity, from promoting the events to warm and new audiences, identifying and building relationships with the strongest case studies, to ensuring a high proportion of event participants continue to support us long after they cross the finish line.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a dedicated person to join our established, experienced and high-performing Events and Community Fundraising team, that has ambitious plans to grow income to £16M+ by 2030. As a team, we work hard to combine our strengths and motivate each other and share a passion for success. You’ll be joining an experienced and supportive team that will help you grow your strengths and support your development.

You’ll have experience working in a sporting events team with a background of assisting or leading with the delivery of large-scale events, covering aspects such as marketing, communications and event delivery. Ideally with a fundraising background to enable you to hit the ground running. You’ll also have excellent communication skills and can motivate and inspire for our cause. Strong organisational skills will be combined with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work to tight deadlines.

You’ll have the energy and passion to provide crucial input to this sector-leading team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to grow, develop and gain valuable skills and experience in a fundraising role within a progressive and innovative organisation.
