Age International is recruiting for a Senior Policy Adviser with a proven background in achieving impact, for a 12-month maternity cover contract, working 28 hours per week. Salary advertised is FTE - 35 hours.

Key purpose of the role
1. To lead the areas of Gender and Climate for Age International's policy and influencing work, in support of the organisation's strategic influencing objectives - including influencing relevant external stakeholders.
2. To line manage the Policy Adviser (Health and Humanitarian) and support other Influencing colleagues.
3. To facilitate collaborative working relationships for increased impact.
4. To ensure high quality policy analysis and communications.

Please note that due to the Hybrid nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to commute to the central London co-working hub on a regular basis. We anticipate this being twice a week. Your travel costs to the London office are not covered by the charity.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK as Senior Mass Participation Manager. Leading a team of nine, you’ll be responsible for delivering a successful strategy and operational plan for virtual events and mass participation products, ensuring sustainable growth and impact.

This brand new role has been created to sustain, and in time, increase the financial sustainability of our activity in Merseyside. What you’ll be doing

This role is integral to shaping a long-term solution to our fundraising efforts locally. As Fundraising & Development Lead (Merseyside), your focus will be to:

• Build and deliver a fundraising strategy to generate locally fundraised income to bring our activity in Merseyside closer to breakeven in the short-term, as well as having an eye on long-term sustainability and growth.
• Develop a compelling case for support tailored to local funders, businesses and the Merseyside community.
• Build a diverse pipeline and income portfolio, using your knowledge and experience of fundraising within Merseyside to increase funding from across multiple income streams – this could include from trusts, local businesses, events, the local community and major donors.
• Create and manage supporter relationships, providing a positive experience and excellent stewardship, and through doing so, maximising on lifetime value.
• Work collaboratively with FareShare UK’s national fundraising team to ensure efforts complement rather than compete.
• Test and evaluate your work to build the evidence needed to support the scaling and replicating of this approach in other FareShare UK-owned sites.
• Fundraise safely, legally and compliantly in line with regulation and FareShare policies.
• Use existing tools and systems such as Salesforce to keep financial and partnership records up-to-date.
• Undertake training and skills development and adopt a continuous learning approach to your work, particularly in light of these being new roles.

This role is likely to involve meeting with funders, supporters and partners across the region – both on and off-site. The ability to travel when needed would be helpful, but there is flexibility in how this is managed and achieved.

The Corporate Partnerships team at Alzheimer's Research UK has just celebrated a record-breaking year, with momentum building across a growing portfolio of partners including Cadbury, Omaze, Roadchef, The Perfume Shop, and Dyson.

We're looking for a Partnership Development Manager to lead and grow some of our highest value partnerships. You will manage a talented team and help shape the strategy to drive our success. There's never been a more exciting time for companies to support our mission to find a cure for dementia, and you will be at the forefront of some truly game-changing campaigns.

You’ll join a welcoming, well-respected team and will be a vital part of helping shape the strategy and growth of corporate fundraising at the charity.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Accountability for delivering income through our high-value partners while driving partnership development and ensuring an excellent supporter experience.

· Set ambitious, strategic goals to grow and retain our highest-value partnerships. You will do this by setting and delivering robust engagement and retention programmes for these partnerships. 

· Gain and maintain the buy-in of internal stakeholders (including the Senior Leadership Team), who will be crucial to the delivery and growth of our partnerships.

· Maximise the use of ARUK’s networks, including trustees, senior volunteers, and staff, to develop effective relationships with partner companies.

· Develop and maintain knowledge of ARUK’s activities to enable you to deliver compelling presentations to corporate supporters, manage high-level meetings, and confidently represent ARUK and our work independently.

· Effectively recognise appropriate opportunities to cross-sell with the aim of increasing engagement with the wider charity. With particular attention to gifts-in-wills fundraising, which is a strategic priority for the charity.

· Understand our partner's business objectives, people, strategic direction, and objectives.

· Collaborate across the department to ensure corporate partners participate in multiple ARUK fundraising products and propositions.

· Ensure accurate and timely recording of corporate donations, activities, and communications.  Making sure that records are accurately maintained, and information is kept up to date on our database.

· Ensure we have necessary legal agreements in place.

Strategy, finance, and reporting

· Work with the Senior Partnership Development Manager (SPDM) to plan, implement, and deliver the Corporate Team strategy. You will be responsible for the operational performance of the team.

· Communicate this strategy and drive fundraising at all levels.

· Ensure all activity and use of team resources are focused on taking Alzheimer’s Research UK towards a cure. This means activity should align with our ten-year strategy and organisational priorities.

· Manage annual income, expenditure budgets and targets for corporate partnerships alongside the SPDM. Prepare income projections and monitor income and expenditure, as well as developing measurable KPIs that translate into tangible partnership benefits.

· Ensure effective reporting of wider partnership impact specifically non-financial benefits.

Leading the team

· Empower the team to provide sector leading customer service to our corporate partners to grow all partnerships to support ARUK’s strategic priorities.

· Drive the success of the team through effective and inspiring leadership to ensure a highly motivated team that achieves or exceeds targets agreed with the SPDM and Head of Corporate Partnerships.

· Ensure the highest quality tools and resources are available to our team for maximum engagement.

· Support the Regional Partnership Development Manager to provide training, resources, advice and guidance to our Regional Fundraising Officers and Central Fundraising Team who manage relationships with local corporate partners. 

· Line manages a Senior Officer who also manages our team assistant, including one-to-one meetings, annual and quarterly appraisal meetings, training, support, and career development discussions. 

· Coach the team, driving a culture of excellence and accountability.

· Liaise with HR and the SPDM on the recruitment and development of the team.

· Ensure good communication across the Directorate and particularly effective collaboration with the New Business and Regional Fundraising teams.

· Ensure good communication about our partnerships with staff, both within and outside the team.

Communications

· Ensure your team maintains a good understanding of the new business pipeline to plan resources accordingly.

· Grow and develop strong relationships between the Partnership Development team and the wider Corporate Team. 

· Liaise and work with the Communications team to produce accurate and timely reports and applications.

· Work closely with the Chief Executive’s office to ensure effective communication with our high-level stakeholders within key partnerships.

· Stay up to date with ARUK’s research and other news to be able to communicate effectively with supporters, disseminating the charity’s key messages both among the team and to key supporters.

· Communicate the work of the team and updates on corporate partner activities through attending relevant meetings and completing monthly reports.

· Leverage social media and networking platforms to deliver the charity’s engagement and education objectives, whilst also attracting and identifying new partnership opportunities.

What we are looking for:

· Excellent partnership development and relationship management skills in either a charity or corporate role.  Preferably managing six-figure charitable partnerships.

· Building and growing high-level relationships through networking, negotiation, and influence both internally and externally. 

· Ability to manage income and expenditure budgets.

· Good planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Confidence working with computers; knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability and confidence to present to corporate audiences.

· Ability to independently manage projects from beginning to end.

· Experience managing a team.

· You work well as part of a team but are proactive and can work independently.

· A confident and friendly manner; would feel at ease representing the charity to high-level external contacts.

· Creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness to identify opportunities within partnerships and develop tailored fundraising ideas and initiatives.

· Willingness and ability to travel independently in the UK and to work outside of regular office hours when needed.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Innovation:

• Design and deliver a fundraising strategy that scales ProVeg’s income from major donors, climate (and other relevant) foundations, and institutional funders.
• Identify and pursue new revenue streams aligned with our climate and food system mission.
  Collaborate with leadership to strengthen our theory of change, donor engagement frameworks, and funding cases.

Donor & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Cultivate and steward relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations, corporate contacts and strategic partners.
• Represent ProVeg in donor meetings and high-level external events.
• Support the Senior Leadership Team and President in managing key donor relationships.

Team Leadership & Development:

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of senior-level fundraising experience, ideally with major donors and foundations in the US and/or Europe.
• Proven track record of securing six-figure + gifts, including new donor acquisition and multi-year commitments.
• Deep understanding of the climate philanthropy and/or food system transformation space.
• Experience working in international NGOs or with cross-country fundraising collaboration.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills across sectors and cultures.
• Strong writing and proposal development skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable building systems, not just managing them.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (minimum C2-level English).
• Strong analytical skills and experience measuring the success of fundraising activities.

Details of the role

You will design and deliver Jangala’s monitoring, evaluation and data analysis activities. The role will report to Jangala’s Head of Programmes and be a member of the Jangala’s programmes department which leads on the delivery of Jangala’s donor-funded programmes in the UK and internationally, deploying Jangala’s award-winning technology and developing partnerships with community groups and grassroots organisations, charities, local authorities and the United Nations.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing Jangala’s M&E and data analysis systems across UK and international projects, aligning with our 2030 Vision and Theory of Change, as well as donor requirements

• Leading the design and implementation of both quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, including structured surveys, stakeholder interviews and case studies, ensuring methods are ethical and appropriate for diverse contexts

• Developing pipelines and scripts (primarily in Python) to analyse and interpret device telemetry data - eg. usage patterns, uptime, throughput and context-specific behaviours - across tens of thousands of devices operating in a variety of contexts

• Integrating qualitative findings with telemetry and survey data to develop a holistic understanding of impact, progress against indicators and our Theory of Change

• Collecting and analysing data and feedback from partners, end users and stakeholders eg. interviews, surveys and the development of case studies

• Collaborate with delivery partners and external stakeholders  to carry out M & E activities and report creation

• Ensuring the secure and organised storage of M&E data and supporting system improvements for capture and access

• Supporting fundraising and communications through evidence-based storytelling and impact narratives

The person we're looking for

At SPANA, we support a network of global partners working through both a short- term small grants and long- term programmes – known as our Senior Partners.
