About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.

In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of health. We need to inspire and connect with health leaders across Integrated Care Services (ICBs), Local Health Boards (LHBs), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and other relevant parts of the system. We need to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities

We are making progress building the evidence of what works within and around health services to reduce violence. But the big risk is that nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to identify the best way to make change happen within relevant health services. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring that:

We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.

This will include:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
• Build a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the health sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.

We deliver the health system recommendations. 

This will include:

• Helping to identify the right recommendations at a system level (such as changes in policy, regulation, inspection, funding, or guidance) that make it more likely highly vulnerable children get access to the right support at the right time.
• Creating and delivering a plan to deliver the health system reforms, working closely with leaders to make the change happen.
• Tracking progress carefully, being thoughtful and creative about when and how to change the plan. 

We work out the most effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen.

This will include:

• Helping health leaders change how they plan or provide services to better protect children from violence, based on our Practice Guidance.
• You can read our first guidance for school, college, and alternative provision leaders here.
• Creating a plan to get people to follow our guidance, using what we know about how they think and behave.
• Continuously testing and improving our approach to get better results.

First-hand knowledge of the system that supports highly vulnerable children, particularly those at risk of or involved in violence. This includes children with conditions such as conduct disorder, psychosis, substance use disorder, ADHD, developmental language disorder, and traumatic brain injury. You understand the barriers these children face and what it takes to get them the right support.

About the role

This role provides tactical and targeted support to our District teams as we seek to enable our volunteers to deliver training to both cadets and volunteers in line with the Sea Cadets Learning Strategy.  This post is responsible for supporting the delivery of the district training, including Royal Marine Cadet (RMC) training activity at Troop level. The work location can be flexible (home or office-based) requiring regular evening and weekend working supporting our volunteers by attending virtual meetings and delivering online training.

• To work closely with all District Officers to increase the number of certificated, current and competent instructors, and develop the capability and capacity of District Instructors to deliver training to cadets and volunteers across all Districts.
• To support the ATOs/DTOs/RMC Troops in all training matters (including uniformed and unit management teams) with a specific focus on Districts/Troops that need support.
• Support our Programmes and Virtual Training Manager with the co-ordination the of delivery of appropriate MSSC and other approved training packages (including BTEC, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) appropriate to the age and experience of cadets across the organisation.
• Work under the leadership of our Assistant Director Sea Cadet Learning monitor performance against set targets set by the National Support Centre to ensure equitable access for cadets and adults to the Sea Cadet Experience.

Clinical strategy and plans for growth

• Have responsibility for the strategic development of TTI’s clinical team, clinical delivery and clinical outcomes, to meet TTI’s ambitious and transformational Strategy 2025-2030.
• Provide clinical leadership to the development of TTI’s strategic vision and annual delivery planning, models of service delivery, standards and clinical governance.

Personal Specification

 Essential Criteria

• HCPC registered psychologist who has completed Post Graduate doctoral level training in counselling or clinical psychology.

Venn Group is delighted to be supporting a cultural charity in the recruitment of a Head of Philanthropy for a 9 month fixed-term contract. This key role will lead the major giving strategy and oversee a high-performing team across individual giving, schematic giving programmes, and trusts & foundations, driving philanthropic growth and supporter engagement.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Oversee and drive strategy for individual major donor fundraising, including managing a personal portfolio of high-net-worth supporters
• Provide strategic oversight of the trusts & foundations fundraising activity, supporting team leads in delivering funding goals
• Ensure financial targets are met across major giving, schematic giving schemes, and trusts & foundations
• Lead and support a team of Philanthropy Managers across multiple income streams, promoting collaboration, inclusion, and development
• Ensure high-quality stewardship of all donors through tailored engagement, communications, and events
• Work with senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation to support integrated fundraising initiatives and shared goals
• Identify new fundraising opportunities and encourage innovation across philanthropic income generation
• Ensure accurate reporting, income tracking, and database management (e.g. Raiser’s Edge) across all philanthropic areas

Ideal candidate profile:

• Strong track record in major donor and/or trust fundraising, particularly in arts or cultural settings
• At least 5 years in a senior fundraising management role, with direct team management and performance oversight
• Strong strategic thinking, budget management, and project planning capabilities
• Persuasive, diplomatic communicator with the ability to build and manage high-level relationships
• Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, professional development, and out-of-hours donor engagement

We are looking for a Marketing Officer (Maternity cover) to play a key support role for Tearfund's fundraising activities within the Direct & Digital Marketing Squad. 

The role contributes to the development and delivery of a variety of online and offline fundraising projects for Tearfund's individual supporters. Working with Marketing Executives and Senior Marketing Executives to deliver on ambitious targets with excellence, this role is a great opportunity to learn and grow through hands-on experience of supporting projects that grow income and bring in new supporters to join Tearfund's work of releasing communities from extreme poverty around the world.

• Experience working in a fundraising, marketing or charity environment 
• Project management skills, prioritising competing deadlines while working alone and with colleagues

The successful candidate will have:

Hybrid working: This role is eligible for hybrid working and you will be required to work from the Teddington Tearfund office and from your home by agreement with the line manager. This currently means around 2 days per month working from the Teddington office, with the rest worked from home.

Contract Type: This is a full time, 12 month maternity cover role.

As a Corporate Partnerships Officer, you will focus on supporting our current corporate partnerships as well as helping us secure new business. You will spend the majority of your time (70%) supporting the account management of our existing partners, providing excellent stewardship, relationship management, and identifying areas for growth. The other 30% will be spent supporting our Corporate Partnerships Manager (New Business) to identify and secure new opportunities, for example with prospecting and pitches.

You will help Turn2us influence how businesses support their customers, and help co-create meaningful and impactful corporate partnerships that centre the needs and experiences of people facing financial insecurity.

With a proven track record of fundraising and partnership engagement (whether corporate or another route) you will use your strong communication and relationship management skills to develop our relationships with businesses. You’ll work closely with the corporate partnerships team and business partners to build and deliver partnerships that make a real difference. Your understanding of corporate charity partnerships and social impact, ability to influence people at a senior level, and curiosity will allow you to spot opportunities to help drive partnership working at Turn2us.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are required to work from the office a minimum 1 day a week.

Some roles may be required to be in the office more often than others and this will be agreed with the hiring manager upon starting at Turn2us.
