- Grow our annual and long-term funding.

The role
The Senior Communications Officer is responsible for press liaison, pitching in case studies and news stories about our research to the national press, building relationships with our celebrity patrons and families and creating content for our social media channels. A key part of the role is supporting the fundraising campaigns by helping to draft relevant copy for email campaigns and calls-to-action on social media.
The charity has a small team, so everyone helps with thanking and banking, database management and administrative tasks. The Learning Support Team offers support to Teams helping young people to develop core skills – both practical and academic, widen their existing interests, and explore new ideas. You will be involved in delivering group and one-to-one sessions, Maths and English tuition, tailored to individual needs; working with the rest of the team around the young person to ensure all our young people are provided with appropriate access to education engagement.

Job description
IAG Delivery and line management
· To be accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets – including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets
· To manage a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training
· Completing appropriate action plans and reviews with participants
· To act as the single point of contact for small caseload of participants

PERSON SPECIFICATION
This role would suit someone with a proven track record in collaborative new business development from concept and research to delivery; ideally in an environment working with local authorities, NHS, DWP, health bodies, and/or grant institutions.
