Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with their client on a fantastic Legacy Marketing Manager role. This key position involves leading strategic development and growth of the legacy programme, ensuring effective supporter engagement and sustainable income generation to support the organisation’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive legacy and in-memory supporter journey across multiple channels, including direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV, digital, and events.
• Manage the delivery of acquisition and stewardship campaigns, optimising existing channels and exploring new opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure campaign success, maintaining strong relationships with agencies, printers, and third-party providers.
• Monitor and control budgets, delivering projects within financial parameters while maximising supporter contribution and retention.
• Analyse performance data to inform strategic planning, reporting on KPIs, adjusting activities as needed to meet income targets.
• Advocate for the legacy programme internally, communicating its value and securing ongoing support and resources.
• Support and line manage senior executive staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
• Prepare for upcoming campaigns, including major summer and autumn initiatives, and contribute to long-term strategic planning.

Person Specification:

• Extensive experience in legacy or direct marketing, with a track record of successful campaign planning and execution.
• Strong understanding of supporter segmentation, data-driven insights, and relationship management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, assess risks, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to influence stakeholders across varying levels.
• Experience of managing and motivating remote teams.
• Skilled in analysing complex data, making informed decisions, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What’s on Offer:

• Salary: £38,000–£40,000

The Design in Mental Health Network (DiMHN) is a UK-based charity dedicated to improving mental health outcomes through better design. We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Head of Partnerships & Programmes to play a central role in our next phase of growth. 

In this role, success will mean building high-value partnerships, growing sustainable income, and delivering programmes that expand DiMHN’s impact and influence. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will: 

• Drive sustainable income through a mix of commercial partnerships, membership growth, and charitable funding
• Develop and lead strategic and commercial partnerships, from opportunity through to delivery
• Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of programmes across our core areas of work
• Grow and engage a diverse membership across commercial and health sector stakeholders
• Embed strong monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to demonstrate impact and inform decision-making

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven leader who can translate opportunity into impact, income, and influence. 

Knowledge and experience 

You will bring: 

• A strong track record of developing and securing income through partnerships, sponsorship, membership, and/or charitable funding
• Experience building and managing commercial or strategic partnerships, including identifying opportunities and maintaining long-term relationships
• Experience designing and delivering programmes involving multiple stakeholders, sectors, and/or geographies
• The ability to develop robust business cases, including assessing opportunities, risks, and resource requirements
• Experience growing and engaging professional networks, memberships, or cross-sector communities
• Confidence working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Knowledge of the mental health, healthcare, design, or built environment sectors is welcome, but not essential.

WHAT YOU'LL GET IN RETURN

• Develop and execute a high-level strategy to identify and secure significant new corporate partnerships that support organisational goals.
• Lead a team to deliver a strong pipeline of high-value partnerships, including proposals, negotiations, and closing deals.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior corporate stakeholders, representing the organisation professionally and effectively.
• Oversee the development of compelling partnership proposals, ensuring alignment with organisational values and objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to maximise partnership value, including exploring opportunities for gift-in-kind, volunteering, and other added value.
• Manage and report on team targets, budgets, and risks, ensuring delivery within agreed parameters.

• Market awareness, with the ability to identify emerging opportunities and sector trends.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to influence and negotiate at senior levels.
