Job description

Blind Veterans UK is the national charity helping vision impaired ex-Service men and women lead independent and fulfilling lives.  We offer blind veterans access to the highest quality of services to help them discover life beyond sight loss.

The number of veterans we help is increasing rapidly as we implement our overall strategy to embed a national footprint and take our exceptional services to the beneficiary.

The role of the Senior Manager - Direct Marketing is to develop, grow and manage Blind Veterans UK supporter retention and development programme, by retaining and growing our supporters who yield the best lifetime value.  This includes lifetime and legacy gifts whilst developing and implementing effective retention strategies and supporter contact activities across cash giving, in-memoriam, committed regular giving, weekly lottery and raffle.

We are looking for an experienced professional to direct and deliver our supporter retention and development programme nationally and regionally.  You will have good strategic understanding, be financially astute, innovative and resourceful and will have management experience.

In return, we offer a wide range of benefits and career development opportunities for the right candidates.

Closing date: Friday 31 January 2020 at 23.00pm

Interview date: to be conducted on an ongoing basis

To apply, please send your up to date CV and Supporting Statement of not more than 750 words outlining how your knowledge, skills and experience meet the person specification.

Please note only applicants who submit a CV with a Supporting Statement will be considered.

Due to the high number of enquiries and applications we receive for our vacancies we don't acknowledge each one - if you haven't heard from us within a week of the closing date, please assume that we won't be inviting you for an interview. You are, of course, welcome to try again if a suitable post comes up. We are unable to provide feedback to candidates not shortlisted for interview.
