What you’ll do

1. Internal communications (~2.5 days per week)

As our Internal Communications and Events Lead, you will play a key role in engaging, informing, and inspiring our team with what’s happening at Unifrog. You’ll also help us to work even better together, and to retain a happy and effective team.

Your main responsibilities:

• Coordinate our whole team commss

  • Deliver our internal comms strategy, work towards our People team goal and objectives, and use our House Style.

  • Create our monthly internal Unifrog newsletter, writing your own segments, editing other people’s contributions, and evaluating engagement.

  • Collate data from team surveys and work with the People and Leadership teams to put ideas from the team into action.

• Improve the way that we communicate and work together:

  • Share best practice and deliver training on our comms tools (e.g. Slack, Gmail, Asana).

  • Research, trial and introduce new comms tools or upgrades where appropriate, training the team on how to use them.

  • Join our AI working group, whose goal is to support the team to use AI more effectively (e.g. leading training, sharing use-cases from across Unifrog).

  • Support teams with communication challenges (e.g. streamlining comms traffic).

  • Support team members to easily find the best contact for different questions and tasks.

• Manage our existing comms tools:

  • Audit our usage and budget to make sure we’re maximising value.

  • Manage individual and team subscriptions to our comms tools.

  • Help to troubleshoot team questions and issues.

• Keep our ‘Unifrog Essentials’ and ‘Who to Contact’ documents up-to-date, and support team leads to keep our Dropbox folders organised.

• Work with our Recruitment Lead and Marketing team to shout externally about what’s going on at Unifrog, sharing photos and stories on our website and social media. 

2. Internal events (~2.5 days per week)

Now that Unifrog has 115 team members across the UK and beyond, it’s more important than ever that everyone feels connected, both to each other and to our wider mission. 

We currently have:

1. Three whole company “team days” per year (2x in person, 1x virtual)

2. Two “away days” per team per year (in person)

3. Regular socials at our London office

4. Regular remote socials

Your main responsibilities:

• Plan our whole company team days:

  • Work closely with our CEO and the Leadership team to decide on the team day agenda, budget and format.

  • Find and book venues, hotels, social activities, and meals, and make sure everything’s set up and runs smoothly on the day.

• Support senior managers to plan their away days:

  • Advise on agendas and book venues, socials, and training.

  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration (one of each team’s away days is partly combined with another team).

• Evaluate our team events and continually look to improve their quality, impact, and inclusivity.

• Plan remote socials and office socials for our London HQ.

• Support our Unifrog affinity groups - spaces where team members who share common identities (e.g. being parents), can connect, support each other and champion inclusivity.

• Keep our EDI calendar up-to-date, and mark and celebrate occasions important to people across the team, including cultural heritage months, awareness days, and commemorative events.

Working together

You’ll be part of our People team alongside our: People Assistant, People Coordinator Recruitment Lead, People Lead, Head of People Operations, and People and Operations Director (your line manager).

You’ll also regularly work with a variety of other team members (especially line managers) when organising events.

Key details

• £37,000 - £39,000 per year, depending on experience. Grade B.

• Full-time.

• Split your time between working remotely and at our office in Hoxton, London (a minimum of 2 days per week). Applicants must be commutable to London and can expense up to £12.50 per day for travel, up to 2 days per week.

Fundraising and income generation

• Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.
• Champion and contribute to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of Impetus' work, ensuring that EDI principles related to Impetus’ mission are reflected in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications and public positioning.

We’re looking for a Senior STH Practitioner who can manage the delivery of high quality and effective Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) programmes in London for adults and young people with a range of disabilities and health conditions.

We’re looking for candidates who have proven experience of managing a team and an understanding of how STH programmes can benefit individuals and improve lives.  We need someone with horticultural knowledge and experience to plan the seasonal horticultural resources required for our programs and delivery spaces.

About us and our ecological work

We are a small but growing UK-registered charity which undertakes projects that protect and restore wild landscapes, helping to provide a future for all life on earth. We use the skills and expertise of our multi-disciplinary team (spanning science, law, economics, technology and culture) to develop projects that protect and restore wild, natural landscapes. 

Our ecological work spans two exciting fronts: restoring missing species through projects like The Missing Lynx, Pine Marten and White-Tailed Eagle reintroductions in Northern England; and securing the protection of ecological restoration sites as a Responsible Body for conservation covenants through which we aim to set the gold standard, supporting ambitious, mission-aligned projects such as Nattergal’s High Fen site.

About the role

We are seeking to hire a dynamic and passionate Senior Ecologist to join The Lifescape Project, to play an integral role in the restoration of charismatic species to the UK and in landscape scale habitat restoration.

As a Senior Ecologist, your work will cover two distinct areas which are broadly: BNG-associated site assessments; and practical planning and feasibility aspects of species reintroductions.

What the job involves

The Policy and Health Influencing team is responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.

As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting the policy and health influencing team, and teams across the Health Services, Equity and Improvement Directorate when needed. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work for example, at times arranging important stakeholder events and meetings and ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capture the outcomes of our external engagement.

In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator who knows how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.

With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. We’re seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to drive the promotion and growth of our Homes and services.

The Events Officer will be responsbile for delivering a wide range of events to our members such as training courses and the annual conference, and must be a highly organised and enthusiastic individual working in collaboration and partnership with one other part time Events Officer. Our courses and the AGM are delivered online, with our annual conferences delivered in-person or hybrid. The annual conference is an important event for BAAT and an exciting, key responsibility for this role.

Concerts & Projects Manager

Position Summary

The Concerts & Projects Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of several key areas of the orchestra’s core performance activity (including but not limited to: concerts in London and around the UK, commercial recording projects, the orchestra’s Garsington Opera residency and others).

Working in a fast-paced environment as part of a friendly, fun and creative team, the role of Concerts & Projects Manager provides a unique opportunity to work with leading musicians and conductors. Excellent organisational and budgeting skills, attention to detail, innovative thinking and a flexible approach to working will help you manage, develop and execute a diverse range of projects to the highest standard.

With oversight from the Senior Concerts Manager and Concerts Director, the post-holder will work closely with the Concerts Coordinators, Concerts Assistant and the Orchestra Operations Team in the delivery of outstanding performances in venues as varied as car parks, concert halls and country houses.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating of the London Season at the Royal Festival Hall.

• Planning and co-ordination of the Orchestra’s residencies in the main season: Basingstoke, Bedford, Canterbury & Leicester and in the summer season: Garsington Opera and Three Choirs Festival.

• Planning and co-ordination of the Orchestra’s UK engagements.

• Preparing concert/project budgets, managing and maintaining set budgets and final reconciliations/invoicing.

• Liaising with the Orchestra’s Head of Production and Stage Managers regarding practical arrangements for all concerts and projects, including but not limited to stage plans, arranging stage extensions where required, truck requirements etc.

• Liaising closely with the Orchestra Librarians on orchestrations and editions for repertoire being performed or recorded.

• Supervising the Concerts Coordinators and Assistant in the practical delivery of contracts, PPE letters, tech riders, dressing room and security lists, rehearsal venue bookings, detailed schedule preparation etc.

• Keeping abreast of all relevant agreements and updates from the Association of British Orchestras and Musicians’ Union.

• Liaising with the Orchestra Committee and Artistic Committee regarding player matters as directed by Senior Concerts Manager/Concerts Director

• Attending concerts & projects in London and around the UK. Representing the Philharmonia with utmost professionalism at all times.

• Undertaking such other duties as may reasonably be required by the Company.

The postholder will develop and lead fundraising and partnerships, raising crucial funds to support MumsAid’s growth. We are looking for an experienced, versatile fundraiser who can hit the ground running, bring a holistic approach and work with a range of donors and funders to help MumsAid develop a sustainable income pipeline. 

This role has strategic accountability for fundraising and managing funder relationships. You will lead our competitive tendering and grant application work, and develop our corporate partnerships.

This is a part-time post, flexible on location, although some travel within the UK may be required. The role will provide support at fundraising events, requiring some occasional evening and weekend commitments (for which time in lieu will be granted).

Main Duties 

Leadership and Management: 

· Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board (particularly the Fundraising and Marketing Subgroup) to proactively identify potential sources of funding and realise opportunities for growth. 

· Devise and develop appropriate strategies, produce and deliver strong proposals and pitches. 

· Provide knowledge of current fundraising practice and develop a consistent working strategy that is sustainable.

· Assist in informing long-term financial/business planning and clarifying priorities. 

· Support the SLT and Board in developing a comprehensive framework for reporting on the charity’s impact, including to funders. 

Oversee and support monitoring submissions.

Fundraising:

· Develop, implement and evaluate a fundraising strategy in line with MumsAid’s priorities, to include key areas of focus – fundraising from trusts and foundations, statutory fundraising, corporate fundraising, to secure c. £500k over the next 2 years.

· Research, formulate and write applications, bids and tenders, including to statutory funders and trusts and foundations, coordinating with other team members for input as necessary.

· Build strong relationships with existing and potential funders, partners and stakeholders.

· Write reports for funders to meet deadlines and submit further applications for existing funders where appropriate.

· Work with the SLT and Board to develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, partners and corporate organisations to ensure good communication about organisational/project progress, address any issues that arise, and identify new income streams. 

Organisational and General Duties: 

· Maximise fundraising efficiency by using and developing our CRM to ensure there is a clear process for recording and managing fundraising activity. 

· Contribute to the financial planning, budgeting and management accounts process. 

· Contribute to the development of MumsAid’s understanding and communication of our Return on Investment (ROI).

· Report regularly on KPIs, monitoring and evaluating against social impact and ROI. 

· Develop and manage a reporting schedule for the Board and funders to ensure monitoring and reporting is in done in an effective manner in line with organisational priorities, tracking restricted and unrestricted income, project development and targets. 

· Maintain awareness of fundraising and charity law and ensure that activity adheres to relevant legislation and guidance. 

Communications and Marketing: 

Liaise with colleagues to help shape and implement our marketing and communications plan, ensuring our reputation is upheld and our knowledge is shared through positive, consistent and accurate communications and messaging.

The role

The philanthropy manager will report to the senior philanthropy manager.

We are seeking a creative and driven philanthropy manager to join our team on a permanent basis. Working alongside members of the wider team, you will help deliver the best possible experience to some of the charity’s most committed donors through a mixture of bespoke events, personalised communications, and recognition opportunities across our hospital sites.

Specifically, this role will lead the team’s efforts in securing four and five-figure gifts and stewarding donors with a gold-standard experience that ensures continued support for the Royal Free Charity.

The team

Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5m through donations in 2023/24, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.

We pride ourselves on being a supporter focused and agile function, working at the heart of the charity to deliver impact for patients and staff across our hospitals.

Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

· Our philanthropy & campaigns team builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, corporate organisations and intermediaries, giving or facilitating donations of £10,000 or more to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our forthcoming cancer campaign, and special events to support these activities.

· Our public fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges.

Managing a dynamic team, the Youth and Employability Senior Manager, will have a strong background in either youth work and/or education and skills. They will champion young people in all they do, upholding a culture of reflective practice and youth voice across programme design.

The Senior Manager for Youth and Employability will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners at all levels. You will ensure programmes meet their KPIs and are delivered to budget, whilst sourcing new funding for future programmes. They will track outcomes and impact through effective monitoring and evaluation and produce reports both internally and for funders.

The Selection Criteria Essential

• Degree, professional qualification or experience in a relevant field (Youth work, Education, Social Sciences).

• An awareness of current socio-economic issues and trends which may affect young people and youth employment in the areas we work in.
• Experience in managing multifaceted programmes to support young people to develop skills and/or into work.
• Experience of, or a strong understanding of, how to support young people from vulnerable (e.g. homeless, young carer, etc) or underrepresented groups (women and girls, ethnic minorities), including those facing barriers to education, employment, or training.
• Proven experience of effective stakeholder management and working in partnership with local businesses/ professional partners, schools, colleges, and universities.
• Demonstrable experience (at least 2 years) of working with young people and children to inspire, motivate and support them to develop new skills.
• Experience of leadership, managing teams and a department.
• Proven track record in planning and project management.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of youth engagement and operational standards in youth settings. Including budget management, risk assessments, session planning and safeguarding.
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• IT literate with particular emphasis on Microsoft and CRM packages
• Knowledge of and a commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, equality and diversity and data protection.
• Willingness to regularly travel within the allocated work areas to fulfil programme outcomes. Able to work flexible hours in line with programme delivery.

Desirable:

• A relevant postgraduate qualification or alternative professional qualification.
• Good knowledge of the local area and demographics (Hounslow, Ealing neighbouring boroughs).

• Experience of co-designing services with young people.
• Experience of securing funding and grant writing.
