About the Role
The Partnerships Manager will play a key role in driving income growth through philanthropy and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, this role will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy. The post-holder will build and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organisations to ensure alignment with organisational objectives, and will lead the development of high-quality fundraising and outreach that deepen engagement, grow income and strengthen relationships.
This is a senior, hands-on role involving the management of a portfolio, proposal development/writing and leading conversations with donors.
This role will line manage WasteAid’s Communications Officer (0.6 FTE).
Fundraising & Income Growth
The initial focus of this role will be to grow income from trusts and foundations and selected corporate partnerships, with priorities agreed annually.
• Implement and deliver WasteAid’s Trusts and Foundations income stream with support and collaboration from CEO and Director of Programmes.
• In collaboration with the SMT develop and implement a strategic plan to grow income from major donors, and corporate partnerships.
• Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to shape funding priorities and develop compelling cases for support.
• Set and deliver ambitious income targets, ensuring a diverse and sustainable funding portfolio.
• Stay informed on sector trends and emerging opportunities to drive innovation in fundraising approaches.
• Ensure WasteAid’s communications outputs support our fundraising goals.
Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement
• Maintain strong relationships with our existing funder base - philanthropists, and corporate partners and develop new relationships positioning WasteAid as a leading cause in the sector.
• Undertake targeted outreach to develop new funding relationships and lead internally on incoming leads and enquiries.
• Develop and deliver tailored donor engagement and stewardship strategies and events that enhance retention and long-term investment.
• Represent WasteAid externally, leveraging networking and partnership opportunities to expand the supporter base.
• Collaborate with programme teams to articulate impact and develop compelling donor communications.
Leadership & Team Development
• Champion excellence and fundraising good practice within the wider WasteAid team ensuring a culture of collaboration and excellence.

The Finance Director is responsible for all aspects of the group's finances (National Federation of Music Societies, trading as Making Music and its trading subsidiary), to ensure accurate and complete recording of all financial transactions, adherence to internal controls and procedures, and timely and effective analysis and reporting to the Chief Executive, Senior Management Team and other budget holders, the Finance & Compliance Committee and the Board of Trustees.

About the Role
This is an exciting role that will lead the successful growth and delivery of the Smart Works Pop Up Shops and sales, other fundraising events and the community fundraising programme. Managing the Events and Community Manager(s), you will work closely with the Wardrobe and wider Partnerships Team to deliver exceptional events, raise vital funds and secure stock for clients and fundraising.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust strategy of Pop up shops and Sales, Events and Community Fundraising, to generate £800k+ of in-year income, and bolster future financial and community engagement opportunities.
The candidate will also work closely with the Head of Wardrobe and Retail Partnerships Manager, growing partnerships with retail brands which support Smart Works’ activities.
We seek a Head with experience in delivering end-to-end events, as well as demonstrable experience of fundraising through retail activations. An ability to work under pressure, deliver to tight deadlines, juggle conflicting priorities and exceed set targets will be key.

Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Research, Policy and Influencing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Cerebra’s mission to influence national and local policy and practice. You will lead on the translation of research into actionable policy recommendations, develop strategic partnerships, advocate for systemic change and influence, persuade and engage with policy makers to improve outcomes for children with neurological conditions and their families. Alongside this you will work with the Research and Information team on Cerebra’s research contracts and the development and dissemination of information.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Policy and Influencing
- Identify opportunities to influence national and local policy agendas, including legislation, guidance, and funding priorities related to childhood disability and neurological conditions.
- Develop accessible and compelling policy briefings, consultation responses, reports, speeches, and presentations for a range of stakeholders, including MPs, government officials, sector partners and the public.
- Monitor policy developments across the neuro-diverse landscape and lead on timely, evidence-led responses.
- Analyse data, trends and policy developments to produce insights and recommendations.
- Translate complex ideas into clear, persuasive communications that support positive change.
- Ensure our policy positions reflect the real experiences and insights of the neuro-diverse children and families we support.

2. Engagement and Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with decision-makers across government departments, policymakers, NHS bodies, local authorities, professional associations, and sector partners.
- Represent Cerebra at meetings and events, including engaging with MPs, civil servants, policy forums, advisory groups, and cross-sector coalitions and other key influencers, or brief the CEO or Directors if attending.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure our policy and influencing work is grounded in practice and informed by those delivering services.
- Work closely with the Communications Team to ensure consistent, impactful messaging.
3. Research and Information
- With one of our Lead Research Officers leading, you will oversee the tendering process and delivery of our research contracts.
- Working with our Information Development Officer to ensure that we maintain our PIF Tick accreditation for our information resources.
- Carry out high-quality research and analysis.
- Use findings from Cerebra-funded and external research to produce policy briefs, consultation responses, and evidence-based recommendations.
- Alongside our Lead Research Officers carry out horizon scanning to identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in child health, neurodiversity, and public service delivery.
4. Budgeting, monitoring and forecasting
- Working with the team and Director to set income and expenditure budgets for Corporate, Philanthropy, Legacy and Trust & Foundations to assist with any funding applications.

The Legacy & In Memory (LIM) Marketing Team is responsible for increasing awareness and consideration for gifts in wills and/or an in memory gift.
