The New Business Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate, and London Youth as a whole. In line with our fundraising strategy, you will be responsible for securing five and six-figure corporate partnerships, achieving ambitious personal targets, and contributing to our overall fundraising target of £6.9m in 2026. Your focus will be on high-value long-term strategic relationships with businesses generating both restricted and unrestricted fundas, as well as other non-financial benefits.
What you will be doing
- Prospect new corporate partners that align with our mission, vision, and objectives.
- Secure partnerships that deliver against our restricted and unrestricted financial needs.
- Build a personal pipeline of prospects at the five and six-figure level and move them through the funnel to hit monthly and annual targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with colleagues at all levels to develop dynamic, compelling, and winning proposals that meet the highest of professional standards.
- Work closely with the senior team, board, and Fundraising Development Board to leverage connections and facilitate introductions to prospects.
- Ensure first class stewardship of prospective partners to develop and deliver high-value long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with and support the Head of Corporate Partnerships and the Senior Account Manager to ensure success across the wider corporate partnerships team.
- Support on the development and delivery of team and organisational events, such as site visits and the London Youth Awards.
- Ensure all information is recorded in an accurate and timely manner across all relevant systems and in line with all relevant processes and procedures, including Salesforce and Sharepoint, research templates, due diligence grids, contracts, and finance.
- Utilise data to analyse performance, make informed decisions, and report in an accurate and timely manner to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the organisation and team's annual plans, strategies, budget planning, and reforecasts as appropriate.
- Build your knowledge and understanding of corporate fundraising, the corporate sector, and the charity sector, to ensure you can position yourself as an expert and make informed decisions in your work.
- Understand, support and communicate the vision, mission, and aims of London Youth, and the needs of young people and youth organisations.

What you bring to the role
Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven track record of securing at least five figure partnerships in the charity sector or private sector, with an understanding of how to unlock six figure sums.
- Ability to research, identify, and secure both unrestricted and restricted income.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience of developing compelling proposals and collateral - experience using Canva is a plus - and pitching.
- Excellent relationship building and stewardship skills with ability to represent London Youth to a variety of stakeholders, including C-Suite level.
- First-class knowledge of the corporate fundraising landscape and the wider charity sector, including the ability to spot trends and implement best practices.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritise a busy workload.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to produce accurate work of the highest possible standard.
- Ability to get involved in various aspects of fundraising delivery if/when needed in support of colleagues.
- Creative mindset to find new ways to engage and partner with corporates to raise funds for London Youth.

This is a new role to sit in a fast paced and growing fundraising team. Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy and Major Gifts Manager, this role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of mid-level funders, develop compelling funding applications, support the stewardship of high-value funders, and ensure accurate reporting and data compliance.
The role supports the Senior Philanthropy and Major Gifts Manager in delivering the Trusts & Foundations strategy, maintaining fundraising processes, and identifying new funding opportunities, while contributing to the overall success of the fundraising department.
The post holder will work closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Marketing, Care Teams, Finance, Senior Management, Trustees and the Director of Fundraising and Hospice Development.
This is a hybrid role however due to its collaborative nature and the need to regularly meet donors, team members and hospice colleagues on-site we ask that applicants are able to commute to St John’s Wood at least three days per week, with a preference for four.
What would be my responsibilities as a Senior Philanthropy and Gifts Executive?
- Support delivery of the Trusts & Foundations strategy, including prospect research and pipeline development.
- Lead on mid‑level funding applications (£5k–£50k) and contribute to high‑value bids.
- Produce accurate impact and financial reports, coordinating information across care, finance and service teams.
- Manage and steward a portfolio of funders, ensuring personalised communication and strong relationships
- Support high‑level donor engagement, including meetings, presentations and site visits.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure compliance with GDPR and fundraising standards.
- Contribute to donor profiles, solicitation plans and stewardship schedules, working collaboratively across income streams.
- Provide guidance to junior staff and deputise for the Senior Philanthropy & Major Gifts Manager when required.
Am I the right person for this role?
- 2+ years in Trust & Foundation fundraising or equivalent bid‑writing role
- Proven experience in Trusts & Foundations fundraising, bid‑writing, and securing 4‑figure+ grants.
- Strong relationship‑management skills with internal and external stakeholders, including donors.
- Excellent written communication and analytical ability, with confidence interpreting financial information.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and contribute effectively to a team.
- Knowledge of the UK Trusts & Foundations sector and experience using CRM systems (ideally Salesforce).
- Collaborative and values‑driven approach, with willingness to support colleagues, mentor junior staff, and work flexibly (incl. occasional evenings/weekends).
- Comfortable leading meetings and building strong working relationships across hospice, fundraising, and external partners.

The role and its impact
As Centre Operations Manager, you will be the organisation’s senior operational lead on the ground. Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is build confidence, companionship and connection for people with hearing loss, is seeking a High Value Events Team Manager to lead the development and delivery of inclusive, inspiring and impactful high-value event experiences that deepen relationships and generate transformational philanthropic support for the charity.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now building a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.
With a strong focus on values-led, relationship-based fundraising, this role will provide strategic leadership to the charity’s new High Value Events function, bringing a consistent, high-quality approach to engagement, cultivation, fundraising and stewardship events. The post-holder will ensure that events are inclusive, mission-focused and deliver strong return on investment, building long-term commitment among principal and major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and senior volunteers.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a background in planning and delivering high-value fundraising or engagement events generating £100k+. You will have worked with high-value supporters, including high net worth individuals, committees and senior stakeholders, and will have a strong track record of working to income targets and maximising fundraising return on investment. Excellent organisational and communication skills will be combined with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences.
