Who are we looking for?

You will be a determined and passionate individual who wants to make a real difference to critically injured patients in London. You will have experience in developing and delivering robust supporter engagement, acquisition and retention campaigns.

The purpose of the Senior Direct Marketing Officer’s role is to deliver and evolve the acquisition and retention strategy, inspiring the people of London to become long-term supporters of the Charity.

Working closely with the Senior Direct Marketing Manager, you will manage campaign activity, from briefing through to execution, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement within the programme, particularly with regards to retention and delivery of the supporter journey.

You will be responsible for multi-channel donor acquisition, retention, upgrade and cross-sell campaigns across digital channels, print, telephone and provide occasional support to our successful Face to Face programme. You will take ownership of the delivery of our supporter journey for our regular donors, cash, lottery and raffle players – with huge scope to make a big impact in this area.

The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis. Although the post is based at Mansell Street, LAA offers a hybrid working arrangement.

As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. The Meridian One Community Garden serves as a space where we focus on cultivating fruit, salad, and vegetable produce. We involve the local community by hosting weekly volunteer gardening sessions, welcoming school visits, and organising various community events.

TCV is seeking a Senior Project Officer with expertise in community engagement, event coordination, and managing community facilities. The garden, which was established one year ago, encompasses facilities such as an office, a community meeting/education room, toilets, and a spacious polytunnel.

The Senior Project Officer will oversee a range of tasks including planning and executing community events, maintaining site Health & Safety, leading volunteers in practical projects like building wooden planters, tending to garden plants, and ensuring timely completion of administrative duties such as procurement, risk assessments, social media updates, and task reporting. They will also lead activities for the under 5’s Nature Explorers group, school visits, themed evening events, and family weekends. Additionally, they'll organise corporate volunteering sessions and cover holiday shifts for the Green Gym gardening program. Previous events have included 'Pampering and Enrichment,' 'Repurpose, Recycle, Reinvent' workshops, and a Black Women in Conservation and Horticulture photo exhibition, as well as our weekend family events featuring free food, music, and arts and crafts activities.

This role involves being friendly and open to various people who visit, from the toddlers attending the Nature Explorers club, to our volunteer gardeners, to senior staff from the local authority. There are two other people working part-time at the garden, and TCV provides thorough training and support from a helpful local team.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of gardening and/or nature conservation. However, what’s equally important is that the Senior Project Officer has initiative, is welcoming, and comfortable working with a wide range people. We’d therefore welcome applications from candidates who can display those personable qualities, with perhaps experience of working in a community centre setting.

In Spring 2024, TCV will be taking on the management of an additional nearby meanwhile space. The new Senior Project Officer will join us at an exciting time when we begin to turn that space into a new community tree nursery. Working with local people to gather seeds from significant trees in the surrounding area, we aim to grow saplings which will go on to be distributed for planting around London.

Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Given the nature of the role the Senior Project Officer will need to work from the garden during these times. Occasionally, to avoid lone working in the absence of another colleague, there will be the opportunity to work from home. Weekend family events take place on Saturdays, four times a year and there are approximately six evening events which take place between April to September. This post holder would be expected to attend those evening and weekend events.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. The Peer Support In-Reach Service is a partnership between several local Minds. Peer Support Workers and Senior Peer Support Workers, who have direct lived experience of mental health issues, are working on in-patient wards in Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Wandsworth to provide recovery-focused peer support to people as they leave hospital and journey towards being settled in the community and living independently.

South East London Mind have a vacancy for a part-time Senior Peer Support Worker to join the team in Lewisham and line manage a Peer Support Worker.

The successful candidate will have personal lived experience of mental health problems, as well as experience of managing staff or volunteers. You will need to be able to travel around the local area to meet your clients in the community and work in hospitals.

You will use your lived experience to help people build skills to develop independence, connect with family and friends, pursue social or vocational interests, get more involved in their local community and stay healthy and mentally well. Your support will be person-centred and may include mentoring, coaching, facilitating access to community activities and providing practical and emotional support. You will meet people before they leave the ward and work with them to develop their own support plan, empowering them as they transition back into the community.

When a child or young person is diagnosed with cancer, their whole world (and their family's) can feel like it's falling apart. Their anxieties are deep. Their education, mental health and social lives suffer. Their futures feel very uncertain. Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers dedicated to providing tailored psychosocial support to children and young people with cancer, and their families. About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for securing six-figure major gifts from individuals in a charity environment to meet ambitious targets. Your primary role will be to manage and develop relationships with wealthy and/or influential individuals and senior volunteers, inspiring and motivating them to meet objectives as per their solicitation plans. Additionally, you will manage and inspire the Philanthropy Executive and support them in executing donor cultivation events. This role is all about strengthening the already existing relationships and using already established contacts to tap into new potential donors.

You will be able to write successful, inspiring, emotive, and detailed six-figure proposals, tailored to a major donor audience. Moreover, you will support the creation of a major donor development board or committee and work towards creating a better stewardship journey for supporters. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and can bring their expertise to help us achieve our goals.

About you

You are an experienced Philanthropy Fundraiser with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of securing significant grants, or you should be able to demonstrate transferable skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully soliciting donations and supporting senior volunteers and trustees to do so.

You should be persuasive and credible with all audiences, including those at the highest level, both internally and externally. You should also have the ability to disseminate and present complex information clearly and compellingly.

You should also be able to work effectively under pressure and to prioritise workload. We are looking for someone who is creative in their thinking and who can apply problem-solving techniques when met with complex situations. A team player with strong cross-team working, influencing, and negotiation skills is essential.

A bit about the role:

As a Outreach Support Worker, you will provide a service where planned support and crisis intervention is delivered to vulnerable people with low, medium and high support needs living in independent accommodation with the aim of them maintaining their home.

In conjunction with colleagues and Senior Managers, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the Support Service, in line with its policies and procedures, including encouraging a co-operative and supportive environment within the Service, listening to customers’ views and developing new services to meet these needs.

Some of the key results for the role include: 

• To provide pre tenancy guidance and ongoing support to customers on all tenancy matters, including assistance to furnish and move into properties.
• To enable customers to abide by their tenancy agreements, giving advice and assistance on dealing with police and courts where this relates to housing matters
• To provide basic Welfare Benefits advice, assisting customers in claiming all benefit entitlements and assisting with accessing specialist support. 
• To work with customers to identify the skills required to manage their own tenancy, including assistance to deal with difficult situations.

This role will require an Enhanced DBS check, a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

Ruils is a user-led charity that supports disabled adults and people with long-term health and/or mental health conditions to live independently, be part of their community and live life to the full. We provide information, advice, practical support, befriending and accessible activities to our clients and families.

We are working with the SWL ICB and local GPs to deliver an exciting new service within Hampton North. The Community Health and Wellbeing Worker will speak to households about health and wellbeing, alongside offering support to connect people to services and activities in their local community. The role aims to empower people to take control of their lives.

You will be working with children and families to provide trauma informed support with the aim of reducing trauma symptoms and rebuild relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

To work with children (aged 5 – 16) and their families to provide trauma informed support with the aim of reducing trauma symptoms, rebuilding relationships fractured by domestic abuse and helping the non-abusive parent to understand the impact of domestic abuse on their children so they are better able to support them.

DIRECT WORK WITH CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES

• To understand and assess the needs of children and families and devise a child-focused support plan
• To utilise evidence-based approaches to strengthen attachments and rebuilt relationships with the non-abusive parent that have been fractured as a result of domestic abuse
• To utilise trauma informed ways of working to reduce trauma symptoms and distress in children
• To work with families in order increase stability and reduce risk 5
• To assist the non-abusive parent / carer in their understanding of the impact of domestic abuse so that they can respond appropriately to the emotional needs of the children
• To attend and initiate mutli-agency meetings where required
• To ensure that children and families receive holistic support that is appropriate to their needs, including advocacy and referring to other services
• To deliver programmes of child-focused group work
• To understand risk and safeguarding issues and act appropriately in relation to risk at all times.
• To work within national, county and ESDAS guidelines, particularly in relation to good practice regarding children
• To provide written reports and case studies to senior management as and when required.

You will receive support and training and a competitive starting salary of £20,000 for a 28 hour week. Reduced hours may be possible by agreement. This is a two-year fixed term post with the possibility of becoming permanent after two years.

We are looking for someone who will work with professionalism, empathy and kindness, have knowledge of working with children and families who have experienced trauma due to abuse and have a trauma informed, child focused approach. Experience of working with complex family situations where there are safeguarding concerns with the ability to assess risk is required.

You will be based at our office in Redhill and you must be able to reliably commute to the office.
