About the role

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll be part of the Senior Leadership Team.  You’ll do everything to make sure that we have the capacity and resources we need to deliver on our strategy and ensure that every person with a learning disability can live life to the full.  You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and sustainability of the organisation helping us to build upon our strong reputation and existing relationships. 

This is an exciting time to join our team with a lot of opportunities to grow our existing services and develop new, flexible services which offer a range of options to members and carers.  You will be central to supporting our team to adapt to new ways of working and evolving how we deliver change in the future.  Depending on your success in the role there will be opportunity to extend the contract and/or number or hours at a later date.

About You

We are seeking a driven and determined candidate with proven experience in fundraising or business development ideally gained from the voluntary sector.  Our ideal candidate has an enthusiastic attitude as well as experience in developing and growing services.  We are looking for someone who aligns with our mission and we ask that all our staff live our organisation’s values and demonstrate them in their day-to-day work. 

You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable you to build authentic relationships with members, donors, partners and commissioners.  You will also need experience in leading change within an organisation, supporting our team on our journey of growth and sustainability.

You will need to be approachable, organised and have excellent communication skills with good IT skills to be able to excel in fundraising.

Duties Include:

Fundraising and project development:

· Lead the implementation of Bexley Mencap’s Fundraising Strategy; reviewing existing fundraising strategies, identifying opportunities for development and introducing innovative strategies to achieve fundraising goals. 

· Research and pursue new funding opportunities; including grants, legacies and social enterprise/earned income opportunities.

· Develop compelling cases for support, tailoring funding bids and applications accordingly

· Develop and maintain funding pipelines, providing reports to the Trustee Board

· Support and line manage part-time member of the team (may be required to support more staff if the role grows/adapts)

· Support the Chief Executive in extending and strengthening relationships with existing partners and developing new relationships

· Ensure all fundraising initiatives adhere to best practices, ethical guidelines and legislation

· Identify and evaluate opportunities for new projects and initiatives aligned with the mission and objectives of the organisation.

· Lead the development of project proposals, including conducting needs assessments, defining project scopes, and establishing timelines and budgets.

· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project implementation and delivery.

The Trusts & Philanthropy Fundraising Manager role is a vital part of this vision and your excellent writing skills and relationship building will help us achieve our ambitions.

Working closely within our friendly and results driven Trusts and Philanthropy team, you will manage your own portfolio of charitable trusts and support the developing major donor and statutory funding relationships as required. You will be helping us Beat Macular Disease by talking with funders and writing bespoke funding applications for support services, medical research and core costs. Diligently recording all relationships information and communications on our database.

Job Description Chief Executive Officer

This is a part time role with a fixed term contract of twelve months in the first instance.  The intention is that funding will be sourced to extend the role.  

Given the close connection with women who have faced trauma and experienced violence and the faith-based nature of the culture there are Genuine Occupational Requirements (as set out in the Equality Act 2010) for the postholder to be a woman and actively supportive of the Christian faith.

In the last few years Mind's Corporate Partnership team has seen significant growth, delivering £7m+ income in FY22/23. Mind has strategic, Charity of the Year and commercial partnerships with companies across a range of sectors.

We are looking for an experienced and creative partnerships officer, to join our high performing and fast paced team at an incredibly exciting time. You will be managing and supporting a varied and interesting range of partnerships including existing and brand-new partnerships.

The Corporate Partnerships team consists of Partnerships Management, Planning and Development and New Partnerships team. This role reports into a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

As a skilled relationship officer, you'll work with your manager to provide first-rate partnership management, developing creative fundraising and engagement plans to excite and inspire your team. You will work to deliver outstanding donor led stewardship and activate campaigns to generate income. You will work collaboratively with staff across Mind, together with other stakeholders and external contacts to maximise income and other opportunities for Mind.

Working both independently and with support from your line manager:

-Steward, renew and grow a portfolio of corporate partnerships at Mind, effectively planning, developing and delivering the partnerships to maximise income and wider benefits for Mind.

-Develop and implement a fundraising and engagement plan to maximise income and added value over the course of partnerships, deliver donor-focused stewardship so partners want to stay with Mind.

-Collaborate with internal teams to maximise potential and deliver mutually beneficial partnerships, e.g. communications, celebrities and PR, pro bono and gift in kind, lived experience, finance, events, services and wider engagement

-Adapt and promote Mind's core campaigns and activities to partners to engage partners with our cause and deliver excellent stewardship, working with the Planning and Development team

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. You will play an integral role in communicating our work as widely as possible and improving and increasing engagement with our supporters, including our members, donors and corporate partners.

The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role). They will report to the Director of Development and Head of Communications.

The JUSTICE team currently work in a hybrid manner. Staff members have access to office space in London, however, attendance is currently optional. The Consortium for Street Children (CSC) is the only global organisation dedicated solely to achieving positive change for street children worldwide, working with 200+ members in 111 countries. With 30 years’ experience and a global network, CSC has unparalleled knowledge and expertise on street children, their lives, and the solutions to the problems they face. Together with its members and partners, CSC advocates for the rights of street children from the streets to the corridors of power. It works to transform children’s lives on the streets through strengthening street social work practice, while also working with States and communities so that they meet their legal obligations to street-connected children as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the authoritative guidance provided in the CRC General Comment 21.

CSC is dedicated to ensuring that global policy commitments are translated into local action, leading to sustainable positive change for children in street situations. CSC is regarded as an expert in the sector and is judged to ‘punch above its weight’ relative to its size.

Purpose of role

CSC is seeking to recruit a new CEO who will lead, empower, and mobilise the organisation and its support to its network members, whilst securing sustainable funding and investment so CSC can deliver its mission. The CEO will be supported by a passionate and talented team of staff, an experienced Senior Management Team, and a fully supportive, engaged, and inspired Board of Trustees.

Primary responsibilities

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:

Strategic planning and priority setting

· Provide leadership and guidance in the delivery of CSC’s 2024-2029 Strategy, defining priorities to secure sustainable funding and implement the organisation’s goals.

Resource mobilisation and sustainability

• As ‘chief fundraiser’ for the organisation, take the lead in strengthening the organisation’s fundraising strategy and income generation. Be actively involved in working with the staff team to bring in new income (restricted and unrestricted) by conceptualising the presentation of programme, advocacy, policy, and research work and developing customised approaches to donors. Ensure sustainable and diverse sources of income in the face of the current challenging fundraising environment.
• Work with our Development Board and other Trustees to engage with philanthropic and corporate foundations and high net worth individuals globally, attracting new donors and continuing to grow the organisation’s partnership base and international networks.
• Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with donors (United Nations agencies, foundations, multi-laterals, bi-laterals, corporate sector, and individuals) and partners to cultivate support for CSC through appropriate presence and communication.

Building CSC’s profile

• Protect and further strengthen CSC’s external brand, profile, and credibility as a thought leader in the field of child rights and child protection in relation to street connected children.
• Act as a champion and advocate for the organisation by representing the work of CSC and its positions at the highest levels externally and across the political spectrum and globally, including with the United Nations entities and agencies, regional bodies, national governments, and partners.
• Act as CSC’s key spokesperson publicly by writing, speaking and social media posting on issues related to the rights of street connected children.
• Support the ongoing development and implementation of a communication strategy to raise the profile of CSC as the global major leader on issues related to street connected children.
• Oversee clear, targeted, engaging, and inspirational communications on all platforms, targeted at segmented audiences (funders and potential funders, influencers, decision makers, potential allies, and network members) in line with CSC’s core values and positions.

Organisation and programme management

• Manage the work of CSC to ensure an effective organisation that is operating in line with its vision, aim and objectives.
• Ensure supportive staff development and good practice to maintain a positive working environment with regular performance appraisals and professional development plans.
• Work in partnership with the experienced programme staff in delivering the programme strategy. Provide supportive guidance to the team, including robust programme planning, measurement and evaluation, and reporting processes. Support the team in conceptualising the programmes to achieve new and sustainable funding.

Finance and operations

• Oversee and ensure CSC’s fiscal soundness and strength, effective operational and financial management, consolidating financial stability, efficiency, and impact.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, carefully balancing restricted donor funding and project delivery with a balanced budget for unrestricted funded activity.
• Ensure proper financial and procurement procedures are adhered to, in order to meet the highest standards of international donors, UK auditors and the UK Charity Commission.
• Oversee processes to ensure strong negotiations and contracting of all our restricted funded projects, including robust due diligence processes for our subgrantees and donor compliance with respect to cost recovery and other requirements.

Governance

• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with the Board.
• Ensure the Board is fully supported in carrying out its role and responsibilities and that CSC is fully compliant with UK Charity Commission guidelines, Fundraising Regulator, and good practice for non-profits.
• Ensure the preparation and presentation of an annual workplan and budget for review and approval by the Board and present periodic updates of their implementation as well as of the overall financial status of the organisation.

Experience and skillset

• A senior and experienced people leader, with a significant and demonstrable track record in an NGO or public body, of successfully building and maintaining high performing teams and a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Strong financial acumen with experience of income generation.
• A proven record in the cultivation of donors and success in raising funds in the child rights or human rights sector, including from foundations, bilaterals, multilaterals, corporates, and high-net-worth-individuals.
• Demonstrated experience and success in global partnership building, convening stakeholders with diverse cultural backgrounds and driving an organisation to act as a catalyst for social change.
• A skilled influencer with strong communication (oral and written) and ambassadorial skills.
• Experience of effective advocacy with both internal and external audiences.

The position:

We are seeking a creative, collaborative and effective fundraiser to drive long-lasting improvements for millions of farmed animals.

Hours:

This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Friday.

From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.

During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced to 30 hours per week, spanning Monday to Thursday, with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms with the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 37.5 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided.

Who you are:

We are looking for someone who can, through compelling and inspiring writing and communication, engage donors and potential funders in a variety of different formats, whether that’s email updates, thanking them for their support, or drafting a funding proposal. Ultimately, you will need to be able to bring them closer to our work, so that they can understand their individual contribution and the impact their donations can have, and are more likely to take action as a result.

You will also need to be able to build strong relationships, with the ability to understand the motivations of our donors, demonstrate the impact of our work, spot opportunities to engage them, and ask for their financial support at the right time.

Many of our donors come from the Effective Altruism (EA) community, so having an understanding of this community and how to engage it will be helpful. You will help to grow our supporters within the space, raising our profile and spotting opportunities to develop relationships with prospective new donors and funders.

Home-based, you will enjoy collaborating and working independently. As a self-starter, you are able to work autonomously and use your initiative to solve problems and see projects through from start-to-end. You’ll thrive on a varied and interesting mix of tasks and projects.

Primary Duties:

• Thanking and stewarding some of our key major donors - acting as a direct point of contact for their queries and questions, keeping them updated with our work, thanking them for their support and donations, building strong, long-term relationships, and developing them as prospects or donors to elicit further gifts, through regular email, telephone and face-to-face contact, thank you cards, networking, written updates, online and face-to-face meetings, and other feedback as appropriate.

• Creating and submitting funding asks to secure funding and achieve your own fundraising targets and those of the wider organisation, with a focus on securing multi-year funding. This will include creating cases for support and funding briefs for specific projects, working with the Programs Team to pull together all relevant information, as well as completing bespoke funding proposals. You will also need to be able to identify opportunities, know when is the right time to make an ask and what type of ask it should be, whether a one-off gift, multi-year funding, unrestricted or for a specific project, or match funding to help leverage a specific campaign or appeal.

• Coordinating our funding pipeline - managing and monitoring what stages our major givers are at in their cultivation journey, tracking details of funding applications/asks made, managing deadlines for applications and monitoring reports, tracking and reconciling donations and providing receipts, securing relevant funding agreements, and capturing the motivations, giving history and details of interactions of our donors.

• Leading on the development of our quarterly newsletter - a document designed as a key engagement tool specifically for our major gifts audience, to keep them up to date on our latest news, victories and forthcoming plans.

• Mapping out and developing our major donor programme for the next twelve months and beyond - planning a calendar of content and touch points to further cultivate and steward our key donors, such as exclusive webinars, networking meet-ups or larger fundraising events.

• Coordinating the major donor version of our annual supporter survey - collaborating with colleagues to align this to our general supporter survey, targeting questions with a major donor audience in mind, collating and analysing responses, and using them to inform and develop our major donor programme.

• Hosting donors at events - inviting them to protests and other events, such as our legal challenge against the use of Frankenchickens, and making sure they are well looked after.

• Prospect research - identifying, researching and assessing potential new major gifts prospects, and then developing cultivation plans for further engagement.

• Supporting the Head of Development with our trust and grant fundraising. This could include collaborating with consultants to complete prospect research and applications, creating and submitting low-level funding bids, and working with colleagues from across the organisation, to coordinate the submission of monitoring reports for our funders.

• Helping drive understanding of and engagement with fundraising across the organisation, with staff, volunteers and trustees - giving presentations, leading workshops with other departments, engaging staff, volunteers and trustees in the thanking process (i.e. getting them to send thank you cards to donors), and regularly updating the wider team on fundraising progress.

• Supporting other fundraising campaigns and initiatives, such as our end of year appeal, working with your colleagues in the Development Team to help find match funders from our pool of our major givers.

• Attending relevant events and conferences, to meet and cultivate prospective new funders and steward existing donors, develop learning and understanding, network with your fundraising peers, keep up to date with the fundraising sector and look for opportunities to raise our profile amongst funders and donors within the EA community.

In addition:

• Participating in team meetings including note-taking and facilitation.

• Attending in-person team workshops several times a year.

ROLE PURPOSE

This position involves identifying and prioritising potential donors capable of making significant contributions to help us deliver a range of projects aimed at enhancing the student experience and supporting the local community. By providing the Development and Fundraising Team with tailored and insightful research, this role will enhance the prospect funding pipeline and facilitate the cultivation of a diverse pools of donors, including individuals, grant-making trusts, and companies. This role will also manage a well-structured stewardship program for donors. Responsibilities include promptly acknowledging donations, creating personalised impact reports, and overseeing bi-annual events which recognise and celebrate their support.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

· To maintain and develop the University’s database of fundraising prospects through proactive identification, analysis, and segmentation, (individual and aggregate) record updating, and original research, including the identification of new prospects.

·  To prepare prospect profiles (which may include wealth ratings), and work with relationship managers to devise appropriate tailored cultivation and solicitation plans, enabling appropriately targeted fundraising asks.

·  To develop and manage reporting in the database across fundraising portfolios to help ensure prospects are strategically moving along the prospect pipeline towards major gift solicitation • To produce and provide due-diligence reports on prospective donors as part of the University’s gift acceptance procedures.

· To deliver an annual donor recognition event to acknowledge and celebrate the support of the University’s most generous supporters.

CONTEXT

The primary purpose of the Development team is to secure philanthropic income to support the delivery of the University’s Being Westminster 2022-2029 strategy. The Development team forms part of the Global Recruitment, Admissions, Marketing and Communications (GRAMC) directorate. We are a multi-award-winning, creative, and innovative organisation, and the Database Officer is a role at Al-Khair Foundation, sitting within the Database team and delivering on a range of database tasks and processes utilising our Salesforce database.

We’re looking for someone who has a good working knowledge of database systems and who understands their importance to organisations like Al-Khair Foundation. We seek someone who is naturally process-driven and has a great eye for detail. You will be responsible for specific monthly processes, such as organisation income reconciliation and ongoing data uploads and cleansing for the Fundraising teams. You will also become a champion for Salesforce and understand the importance of CRM to help Al-Khair Foundation achieve our goals and provide a better service to our donors, supporters, and participants.

Your Role

Al-Khair Foundation uses Salesforce to manage relationships with our donors, supporters, and stakeholders, including recording all donations made to the organisation. Al-Khair Foundation’s Database Officer will be responsible for the monthly delivery of the income and data reconciliation processes for the Fundraising teams, which includes liaising with a wide range of external agencies and the website to successfully download and query files, update and create new supporter records on the database, process cheques and payment requests, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure all anticipated and banked income tallies correctly.

You will also work closely with colleagues in the Database team to support and maintain regular database processes, data cleansing, and other database-related functions that happen on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include responding to and being responsible for Support Ticket queries in relation to income, data, and/or the database generally and working with external database agencies such as our web platform partners and Salesforce.

Aside from these core duties, from time to time, you may also carry out general administrative tasks on behalf of the Supporter Engagement team. This may include supporting the Supporter Care Assistant during busy periods with customer care via email and telephone and recording updates, processing invoices, and maintaining and updating team rotas and trackers.

• Delivering the monthly data reconciliation and income reconciliation processes, which include downloading and uploading data files.

Finance and operations manager – Job Description 

We are seeking a thoughtful, compassionate, and experienced finance and operations manager.  This is a new role in an expanding team that will contribute to the senior leadership of the organisation and be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the charity, with a focus on financial management.  
Our new Finance and Operations Manager will work closely with the CEO to set and manage the organisation’s strategic plan, drive strategic initiatives, manage resources, and foster a positive and reflective workplace culture. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Leadership and Team Management  

• Embody the values of The Magpie Project and support the CEO to maintain the core vision and principles of the organisation in all its activities. 

• Support the CEO in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the charity, including deputising for her when appropriate. 

• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders (donors, community partners, other non-profit organisations), and identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership to enhance the organisation’s impact and reach. 

• Represent The Magpie Project externally where appropriate. 

• Foster a positive and reflective workplace culture that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement. 

• Implement best practices and internal systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. 

• Line-manage three staff members – Kitchen Manager, Donations Manager, and Fundraising Manager – in accordance with existing support and supervision structure. 

1. Financial Management 

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including all incoming and outgoing payments and invoices, and maintain accurate records in line with financial best practise. 

• Develop and manage the annual budget and produce management accounts to provide regular reports to the CEO and board of trustees throughout the year. 

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for donors. 

• Coordinate annual financial audits and ensure timely submission of annual accounts to the Charity Commission. 

• Maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure internal controls are compliant with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements. 

• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives, identifying and mitigating potential risks. 

• Liaise with off-site payroll provider and make monthly payroll payments. 

• Oversee management of petty cash, including ensuring there is sufficient petty cash to cover travel money and emergency grants expenses at sessions.

• Develop and oversee processes for the distribution of emergency hardship grants, in line with donor expectations and best practice in record keeping. 

1. Operational Management 

• Support the CEO in the strategic direction and operational management of the charity, including planning, service design, programme management, HR, and workforce development. 

• Develop and maintain relevant internal policies. 

• Lead on risk management within the organisation, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

• Maintain relationships with external suppliers including DBS service providers, insurers, telephone and internet, banking, and software technicians. 

Person Specification 

• Experience in a senior finance role in a charity, including budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day financial management. 

• Specific knowledge of charity regulation and financial compliance with the charity commission and other regulators. 

• High level of interpersonal and emotional intelligence to enable a trauma informed, reflective and calm working environment. 

• Experience overseeing or supporting internal operations, including line-management, preferably within a charity.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Chief Executive, the post-holder will lead on all aspects of development, marketing and fundraising, and people/HR development; maintaining high level relationships with donors and prospective donors and maximising opportunities to secure new sources of income from individuals, companies and charitable trusts, as well as improving our internal comms.

We are looking for someone who has experience working in collaborative environments to meet organisational goals and build and manage relationships. They will demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop in order to surface and establish partnerships, lead funding bids, develop our people, and act as a key representative of the Centre to the outside world.

Charity overview

The Amber Trust provides musical opportunities for blind and partially sighted children, including those with additional disabilities, via its Music Awards and Music Services.

Amber Music Awards fund instrumental and singing lessons, the purchase of musical instruments and specialist software, funding for concert tickets, and travel to musical activities for vision impaired children throughout the UK. In addition, there are structured programmes in its Music Services.

‘Little Amber’ is a service that offers music resources and quarterly sessions with a specially trained music practitioner to children under five and their families. ‘AmberPlus’ provides music resources and sessions offered on a termly basis to children over five who also have complex needs.’ ‘With Music in Mind’ is a new service for visually impaired children and young people with life-limiting neurodegenerative disease. Amber’s workshop scheme offers music sessions for groups of children in schools, charities and community organisations.

We have also developed extensive online music resources for teachers that are freely downloadable from anywhere in the world.

The Charity has a turnover of around £400k, employs a small central administrative team, and, for the music services, works through a large network of self-employed practitioners.

 Role purpose

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible to the Board of Trustees for leading The Amber Trust, developing and realising Amber’s vision and strategy, and playing a key ambassadorial role with funders and other senior stakeholders. The CEO is responsible for the management of the charity and its staff and the execution of Amber’s targets, plans and policies, ensuring that resources are used to best effect in meeting the needs of beneficiaries. The CEO is responsible for initiating and overseeing new initiatives that will ensure Amber plays a leading role in the field of music and blindness in children and young people into the future.

Role Description

Accountabilities: To develop, lead and manage The Amber Trust, in particular:

 Strategy

•      to develop and deliver innovative projects and services in accordance with Amber’s strategy.

• to ensure Amber flourishes, meeting all its charitable objectives and its legal obligations as a charity and a company limited by guarantee, and to honour its duty of care to its staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders;

• to maintain Amber’s ethos of providing individual and personal support to beneficiaries and their families;

• to lead Amber in the development and implementation of its long- and medium-term strategy and annual business plans in accordance with the strategic direction and policy framework agreed by the Trustees;

Fundraising and events

• to attend, represent and promote Amber at meetings, conferences and other events, enhancing its profile across the UK – occasional evening and weekend work and travel may be required for this;

• to manage volunteers and liaise effectively with fundraisers and individual donors;

• to engage in fundraising and income-generating activity to ensure the sustainability and growth of Amber, including bid writing activity;

• to monitor and evaluate the services offered by Amber as required by external funders and Trustees, writing and submitting reports to deadline

Operations

• to manage and support operations and services and to be hands-on where required to ensure these are delivered;

• to be pro-active in maintaining digital media relating to Amber and its work, including (but not limited to) its web page, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube;

• to manage the budget prudently to ensure Amber’s financial soundness;

• to ensure efficiency and effectiveness externally in service delivery, and internally in its systems, resources and infrastructure;

• to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with Trustees, organising and contributing to regular meetings for the Board, and its Investment, Fundraising, Digital Media, Music Awards and Music Services subcommittees, including the provision of reports, financial information, data on service delivery and all other matters to enable the Trustees to fulfil their governance role.

People management

• to manage staff, setting their objectives and ensuring that these are met, and that colleagues appreciate the ethos and values of Amber, and work in accordance with its strategic objectives, with regular update meetings and an appraisal cycle, and to monitor and recommend to Trustees appropriate remuneration;

• to ensure all staff are aware of current national policies and procedures relating to safeguarding in relation to the children and young people that Amber serves, and are given training annually.

Also to undertake other such duties as may reasonably be required from time to time by the Trustees.

Person specification

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the following essential requirements:

 Essential criteria

· Proven leadership experience in the third sector

· Proven management experience in at least two organisations

· Demonstrable passion for music

· Experience of measuring the impact of charitable services and driving quality improvements

· Degree level education or equivalent

Knowledge, skills and experience

· Experience of working with trustee boards and an understanding of their role and governance experience

· Experience of programme development and the management of grants

· Familiarity with UK charity law and governance issues

· Awareness of disability issues

· A track record of successful fundraising

· Experience of staff management including personal development, objective-setting, recruitment and performance management

· A high level of computer literacy in standard office packages and CRM systems such as Salesforce ;

· The ability to motivate self and others – of developing a vision and enlisting others to share it
