About Finance at Hope into Action 

The finance function of Hope into Action is small team comprising the Finance Manager, the Finance Administrators (job-share) and a volunteer reporting to the Head of Operations. It is largely paperless and supports our 44 staff with accounts payable and receivable functions. It works in conjunction with the other departments to deliver timely, accurate and strategic financial information for both the Executive Team and the Board of Trustees.

About the role 

The Finance Manager is a key role in enabling Hope into Action fulfil its vision of every church lovingly making a home for those experiencing homelessness.

The role is broad ranging; from managing the Finance Administrators, supporting their work when needed and also producing the monthly management accounts within our target of 10 working days from the month end.

In addition, you will support the year end work by producing the schedules required by auditors, take a lead in the annual budgeting process, produce the biannual investor statements and compile the Gift Aid returns. 

You will be expected to meet regularly with budget holders to help them achieve their targets and/or devise a plan to bring them back on track.

About you 

We are looking for a self-motivated person with a passion for our work, tenants, staff, churches and mission. You will be adaptable and equally comfortable with bank reconciliations as writing a commentary on the management accounts. We employ people of hope where humility, a genuine desire to love and serve others, and strength of character are as important as any job description. You will have a track record of finance experience but also be relatable; able to support staff with little or no financial experience. You should have a passion for the homeless, churches and our vision & values.

Starting 15 years ago, we have grown into a mature organisation working with over 100 churches running 126 homes for over 400 tenants.

We have won numerous awards both secular and Christian including from the Guardian newspaper, Homeless Link and Centre for Social Justice.

We provide not just shelter and housing know-how, but also the friendship of a church, we are passionate about harnessing the social, financial and spiritual power of churches to enact real change both in them and our tenants.

Our first home had a real heart for men coming out of prison. Homes are now available for a wide range of people experiencing homelessness: people in recovery from addiction, people sleeping rough, women and children fleeing domestic violence, people coming out of rehab, former prostitutes, refugees, those suffering mental health issues and survivors of human trafficking. 

Roughly, 50% of our homes are in our ‘line-managed cities’ (Peterborough, Norwich, Nottingham, Cambridge), the other 50% are found across a further 30+ towns which we franchise into.

Head of Corporate Partnerships

Location: North London (3 days per week in the office)

About you:

You will be an inspiring Corporate Fundraising Head, excellentcommunicator and a natural relationship builder. As a senior community fundraiser, you’ll will an important part of the team building Breast Cancer Now’s presence in Wales, with a particular focus on South Wales.

The successful candidate will also be part of the team working on our large-scale project supporting and growing Asda Tickled Pink, our award-winning partnership with Asda and CoppaFeel! which has already raised over £100 million.

You’ll work directly with passionate colleagues across Asda stores in your region driving new fundraising initiatives, inspiring communities, and celebrating their incredible successes.

No 2 days will look the same as you travel, connect and engage supporters to help us grow income to deliver our mission.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

Confident in approaching new contacts and are experienced in developing new relationships from scratch. This may currently be in a customer service, account management or stewardship role.

Experienced in managing and building new and established relationships with a focus on retention and income growth.

This role will involve being out and about in the community you’re building, so you must be able to work independently outside of the office in varying locations and enjoy being busy.

Previous experience working in a charity is not required. The ability to speak Welsh would be desirable.

The Role:

Key responsibilities:

· Research, Identify and approach new corporate prospects, building a strong pipeline of potential six-figure partners

· Lead on creating bespoke, compelling pitch decks and proposals, working with the communications and Marketing Team to ensure quality and impact.

· A track record of securing new business or corporate partnerships, ideally in a fundraising CSR setting

The Major Giving team consists of 12 people with five direct reports, leading the sub-teams of Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations, Strategic Partnerships and our Events function. Your team sits within the Income Generation Directorate, and you’ll work closely with colleagues across that Directorate and with our Policy & Campaigns  Engagement and Community & Network Directorates. In this hands-on delivery-focused role, the Head of Philanthropy will lead and grow Nucleo’s fundraising activity, taking personal responsibility for developing relationships with donors, partners and supporters to secure sustainable income for the organisation. The role combines practical income generation with some strategic planning: cultivating and stewarding a pipeline of high-value prospects, expanding networks, and delivering successful fundraising initiatives. • A proven track record of personally raising at least £0.5m annually, with strengths in major donors, corporate partnerships and individual giving

• Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and high-net-worth individuals, acting as a compelling ambassador for the organisation

About the role:

Lead the Scheme Oversight function to ensure the Motability Scheme consistently delivers choice, value for money and excellent customer service for disabled people. The role includes setting the Oversight strategy, developing the Scheme’s performance management framework, reporting on performance to internal/external parties and assisting/managing key stakeholder relationships across Motability Foundation, Motability Operations and Government departments. 

What you will be doing:

Policy and Planning: 

• Monitor UK Government policy and proposals with material impact on the Scheme; coordinate Motability’s position and implications for Oversight. 

• Lead annual Oversight strategy refresh and contribute to Motability’s Strategic Plan. 

• Chair (or deputise for Director at) Scheme Oversight governance forums and ensure well‑prepared agendas, papers and decisions flow to Governors and SOC. 

• Undertake ad hoc projects to develop Motability or Scheme services as required. 

Governance & Performance Monitoring: 

• Manage the contractual relationship between Motability Foundation and its service providers in a collaborative manner. 

• Own the Oversight performance framework (KPIs, targets, thresholds) and coordinate performance reporting activities to provide monthly updates to key stakeholders. 

• Lead operational reviews of Motability Operations’ delivery, commissioning deep dives where issues or opportunities are identified. 

• Sponsor customer satisfaction and experience measurement across Scheme services, ensuring findings inform improvements. 

Leadership: 

• Act as a liaison between Motability Foundation and Motability Operations, ensuring collaborative & effective oversight. 

• Own key relationships within the Motability Operations executive leadership, Motability Foundation 

• Board and key Government officials.

About the Role

As Head of Finance, you will:

• Lead, motivate and develop the Finance team to deliver a professional, supportive and efficient service
• Oversee monthly and quarterly management accounts, KPIs and performance reporting
• Lead on budgeting, reforecasting, cashflow and short– to medium term cash management
• Produce annual statutory accounts for CHSW and its subsidiary, and work closely with external auditors
• Oversee payroll processing and statutory compliance (pensions, HMRC, P11Ds etc.)
• Ensure accurate VAT and tax accounting, working closely with specialist advisers
• Maintain effective financial controls, policies and system governance
• Act as the finance lead on cross functional projects and internal committees
• Work closely with senior leaders and operational colleagues, promoting strong financial stewardship across the organisation
• Support the Director of Finance & Retail, providing cover for SMT, committee and Board work where required

About You

To be successful, you will need the following:

• ACA qualified (or equivalent) and a member of a recognised accounting professional body (e.g., ICAEW)
• Significant finance leadership experience in a similar sized organisation
• Strong experience in:
o annual financial reporting and charity accounts
o budget preparation and financial modelling
o management accounts and KPI reporting
o financial processing functions
o internal controls and finance procedures
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters to non finance colleagues
• Experience leading and developing teams
• A proactive, solutions focused approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A full UK driving licence

Ideally you will also have:

• Charity taxation experience, including VAT and partial exemption
• Experience with Xledger
• Experience working within a hospice, charity or large retail linked organisation
• Knowledge of statutory grant or charitable trust reporting

Our vision is a church in every village in India: an India where every person has a chance to hear the good news of Jesus. 

We do this through sending Indian people to plant churches in unreached Indian villages, in partnership with local Indian leaders and Bible Colleges. About the role

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) you will be forming a partnership with the CEO to lead 500k. 

You will be unlocking the growth of this ministry as well as sharpening our impact and making it sustainable. You will be a key part of enabling us to achieve our goal of growing 5x over the next 5-10 years.

As COO you will have a prominent role in creating and achieving our annual growth plan. You will be responsible for the organisation’s day-to-day operations, people management, systems efficiency, financial stewardship, safeguarding and compliance requirements. You will anticipate and plan for our growing needs with the development of new people and systems.

• 37.5 hours per week 

• Remote working. Proximity to London where the CEO resides is preferable.

The current set-up of our team is that all our 17 paid staff are in India. Our 3 UK staff, (including the CEO) work for 500k bivocationally and are not paid. They work at FTEs of 70%, 20% and 15%. This arrangement has been reached through the outworking of our values of radical generosity, radical dependence on the Lord, and seeking to maximally empower our Indian team.

For the last 18 months we have been discerning whether to scale our current arrangement (with more bivocational or support-raising staff in the West) or whether to switch to a salaried model for our UK team. 

We desire the new COO to be a part of this discernment process. You should be open to the options of fully or partially support-raising your own salary, or working bivocationally, alongside the option of being salaried by 500k. Having said that, we are committed to landing on a clear plan with you prior to your commencement in the role. A full time role is preferable, but we are open for your commitment to 500k being FTE 70% or more, particularly if the bivocational option is being pursued.

The post holder will work as part of the Estate & Facilities and Safety Management team to deliver high standard, customer focused estates and facilities to the organisation. You will lead on all aspects of safety, facilities and estate management at our outdoor learning centre, Hindleap Warren. You will support with facilities (managed onsite by the Director of Finance) but will be responsible for all aspects of safety compliance at our London Office. This role is a blend of strategic and pragmatic thinking to create a great place to work, along with the need to 'roll up sleeves' and ensure our buildings, grounds, and systems of work are safe, compliant, efficient and sustainable. A monthly visit to the London Office will be expected. 

What you will be doing

Estate Strategy 

• Work with the Senior Team and Heads of Centres to develop the strategic direction and objectives to ensure London Youth are following relevant legislation and best practice from all sectors. 
• Create and deliver plans to manage London Youth's assets in a compliant, safe, and best practice manner, as well as rolling out new software to manage this process. 

Facilities Management 

• Lead on delivery of all Facilities Management services, including but not limited to: M&E, fabric, cleaning/housekeeping, bed linen/laundry, car partking, grounds, waste management, pest control and external contractors. Occasionally support may be needed out of normal working hours in emergency situations. 
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive planned preventative maintenance programme, ensuring the satisfactory operation of all buildings, plant and equipment, and ensuring our buildings remain compliant, safe, fit for purpose, and reflect our brand values at all times. 
• Procure and manage services, evaluate contracts and tender processes through a blend of in-house and out-sourced delivery methods, as appropriate, and evaluate value for money. 
• Work with the Director of Centres and Heads of Centres to set the estates, facilities, and health & safety elements of their annual budgets and advising on capital expenditure requirements across all three sites. 

Health & Safety 

• Maintain a health and safety management system at both Hindleap and the London Office, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, including overseeing risk assessments, health & safety policies and procedures, and annual audits. 
• Attend monthly meetings of the Safety and Safeguarding Team, analysing reported accident and incident data. 
• Provide assurance reporting to the Director of Centres and Trustees on a quarterly basis. 

What you bring to the role 

• Experience of delivering safe and effective work on customer-facing premises and grounds. 
• Experience of managing high performing teams to deliver in line with the needs of an organisation. 
• Experience of working and leading teams across multiple sites. 
• Relevant qualifications in facilities and estates management and health & safety, including a NEBOSH. 
• Knowledge of the Health and Safety compliance standards applicable to our sites and how these should be achieved. (Please note the outdoor adventurous activities are managed by the operations team - specialist knowldge of these areas is not required.)
• Ability to communicate in a range of settings with people at all levels of an organisation. 
• Ability and experience of training others in health and safety.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is to build confidence, companionship and connection for people with hearing loss, is seeking a Major Gifts Manager to drive growth in income from high-net-worth individuals.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now building a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.

The Major Gifts Manager will be part of the charity’s high-performing Philanthropy team, personally managing a portfolio of high-value donors and projects, and cultivating long-term relationships that lead to increased giving. Reporting to the Major Gifts Team Manager, the postholder will oversee major donor stewardship journeys and the strategic delivery of the charity’s successful VIP Name a Puppy scheme, as well as developing compelling cases for support.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience securing major gifts and managing high‑value relationships in a similar field, including five‑ and six‑figure contributions, as well as a strong track record in cultivating and stewarding donors. They will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and confidence engaging high‑net‑worth individuals and senior stakeholders.

Candidates will bring strategic project‑management ability, strong writing skills for producing compelling proposals and reports, and a data‑informed approach using CRM systems to guide activity. A professional, proactive and collaborative working style will be essential.
