We’re on a mission to create fairer access to top universities and to transform how young people learn. As our Development and Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal, leading role in shaping, delivering and growing our Meta Method programme and associated provisions.

This role is ideal for an experienced, confident educator, school support staff member, or outreach professional who thrives in front of large audiences and is ready to take ownership of high-impact delivery. You will lead the delivery of content both in person and (occasionally) online, working directly with schools, students and partners, and acting as a visible and credible ambassador for the organisation.

Alongside delivery, you will work closely with the CEO and Head of Development & Operations to develop, refine and evolve programme content, ensuring it remains engaging, pedagogically robust and responsive to the needs of schools and students. You will bring creativity, judgement and initiative, contributing to programme innovation and the organisation’s wider growth.

As a pivotal member of the Development and Operations team, you will take lead responsibility for the coordination and delivery of Meta Method and additional programmes, ensuring schools are well supported and delivery runs smoothly. You will also play an important role in growing demand for our work, leading conversations around additional programme sales, partnerships and future opportunities.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to combine excellent delivery skills with strategic influence, and who is motivated by seeing their work translate directly into improved outcomes for young people. This is initially a 12-month contract, however we anticipate that the post will become permanent subject to adequate growth and funding. 

The Opportunity   

As a key team member within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will play a vital role in supporting the management and growth of our corporate partnerships, with a focus on partnerships that enable and enhance our Aspiring Professionals Programme.

1. Account Management: 

• Ownership and management of the direction, growth and success of key strategic partnerships with Freshfields and Linklaters, providing excellent stewardship and effective communications to ensure long-term and mutually beneficial relationships.
• Manage, renew and develop a select portfolio of smaller existing partnerships in the legal sector, identifying new opportunities to deliver greater impact and income growth.
• Support internal account management structure across corporate programme partnerships, ensuring relationship management and programme delivery is delivered to a high standard, processes are consistently upheld, and partnerships are renewed where required.

2. Stewardship and Reporting: 

• Track deadlines, deliverables and reporting requirements for own portfolio of corporate partnerships.
• Create reports, updates and support with the creation of case studies to demonstrate the value and impact of partnerships.
• Find creative ways to share updates and engage partners with our mission and work 
• Work closely with the Head of Partnerships & Income Development, Partnerships Manager and finance team to build budgets, track secured income accurately, report on risk and opportunities, and ensure that income is banked.

3. New Business and Partnership Development

• Work closely with the Programme Delivery team to understand programme needs and gaps in provision, in order to improve the quality, depth and breadth of programme partnerships.
• Use your expertise and creativity to design and shape strategic programme partnerships that align partner objectives with student and programme outcomes. 
• Write, build and create compelling and innovative partnership proposals, budgets and presentations to secure new business and develop existing partnerships.
• Deliver a smooth onboarding process for transitioning new partners into account management structure.

4. Line Management

• Outline outcomes to be achieved, considering individual skills, capabilities, and workload to ensure a balanced distribution of work.
• Review work outputs, monitor and quality assure work.
• Identify training and development needs; employ a coaching approach, and clarify opportunities for skill enhancement and career growth.

You’ll be responsible for developing the Major Giving strategy, retaining our loyal supporters and attracting new, long-term funders by refreshing the stewardship and cultivation programme to encourage deliver on our growth plans in line as we develop a new strategy to answer the challenges in the external environment and ensure that we have the funds to respond to the crises of climate, nature and inequality.

The team: 

The Major Giving team consists of 12 people with five direct reports, leading the sub-teams of Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations, Strategic Partnerships and our Events function. Your team sits within the Income Generation Directorate, and you’ll work closely with colleagues across that Directorate and with our Policy & Campaigns  Engagement and Community & Network Directorates. You will play a key role in promoting a culture of philanthropy and partnerships across the entire organisation as together, we strive to create lasting change in the fight against climate and nature crisis.

A £50 million capital appeal was launched in late 2025, which will fund improvements of facilities for artists, audiences and young people taking part in engagement activities at the Grade I listed concert hall. This 15-year estate plan represents a significant evolution in the Hall’s fundraising approach, creating an exceptional opportunity to expand its philanthropic reach, deepen relationships with supporters and secure transformational investment in the future of this much-loved institution.

The Senior Philanthropy Manager (Maternity Cover) will play a pivotal role in the delivery of its major donor programme. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role sits at the heart of the philanthropy team, combining hands-on major gifts fundraising with oversight of systems, processes and pipeline management. The postholder will shape and steward a growing portfolio of high-value supporters during a critical phase of the Hall’s capital appeal, while ensuring that donor engagement activity is coordinated, consistent and effective.

As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will:

• Report to the Head of Philanthropy and line manage two direct reports – Senior Prospect Researcher and Philanthropy Coordinator – fostering clarity, structure and confidence within your team.
• Manage a personal portfolio of major donors, stewarding relationships typically in the £20,000–£500,000 range.
• Work to a team income target, generating funds from HNWIs through major gifts, mid-value gifts and legacies.
• Own and drive the major donor pipeline, ensuring clear next steps, momentum and follow-through across cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
• Be donor-facing, through regular face-to-face meetings, cultivation activity and events, including evening engagement as part of stewardship.
• Ensure robust processes are in place for tracking, thanking and income processing, with delivery support from the Philanthropy Coordinator.
• Act as a central coordinating figure for major donor activity, working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, Development Director and selected Philanthropy Board members.
• Lead on the rollout of donor communications, including tailored donor stewardship and wider impact reporting.
• Work closely with other development colleagues who focus on the Hall’s Friends and Patrons programmes, Trust and Foundation approaches and Events.

Essential skills and experience:

• Demonstrable experience of managing and stewarding high-value individual donors, ideally within a major gifts or upper mid-value context.
• Experience of personally securing c.£50K+ donations from HNWIs – please ensure that examples of personally secured gifts from HNWIs, including £value, are included on your CV. It would also be helpful to include context e.g., uplift, new donor
• Confidence working with fundraising databases and systems (ideally Tessitura), and a strong understanding of GDPR and DPA 2018.
• Strong organisational and process skills, with the ability to keep complex, multi-strand activity moving and well-tracked.
• Experience of working collaboratively in a matrixed environment with senior stakeholders and volunteers.
• Some line management or mentoring experience, with the ability to provide clear direction and practical support. However, this is not a heavily people-management-focused role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging donors in a range of settings.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach, combined with sound judgement and professionalism.

Desirable:

• Arts, culture or heritage fundraising experience.
• Experience of working on or alongside a capital appeal.
