Senior Care Support Worker – Help People Live Their Best Lives Every Day

Do you love making a difference and have the leadership skills to guide others? Are you the kind of person who brings warmth, energy, and compassion wherever you go? As a Senior Care Support Worker at Peabody, you’ll play a vital role in helping people live their best lives – while empowering them to deliver exceptional care and support.

This is more than a job; it’s a chance to lead by example, inspire your colleagues, and ensure every customer feels safe, respected, and included. You’ll combine hands-on care with leadership responsibilities, making sure services run smoothly and reflect the choices and wishes of the people we support.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of Care Support Workers, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback
  • Work with your manager to plan, deliver, and evaluate person-centred care
  • Carry out quality audits, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with CQC standards
  • Support customers with daily living tasks, personal care, and community activities
  • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive relationships for every individual
  • Manage rotas, staffing cover, and assist with recruitment and induction
  • Liaise with families, professionals, and stakeholders to ensure joined-up support
  • Uphold health and safety standards and safeguard customers at all times

What you’ll need

  • Experience in organising, supervising, and leading others  in a professional or volunteering role
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
  • A compassionate, resilient, and non-judgmental approach
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and write reports
  • IT literacy and confidence using digital systems
  • A DBS check satisfactory to Peabody
  • Care Certificate or relevant qualifications – desirable but not essential

Why Join Us?
When you join Peabody, you’re joining a team guided by our values:
Be Kind, Do the Right Thing, Love New Ideas, Celebrate Diversity, Keep Our Promises, and Pull Together.
We believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels supported, included, and empowered.

What we offer

  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Two paid volunteering days each year
  • Flexible benefits scheme and discount portal
  • Life assurance at 4x your salary
  • Up to 10% pension contribution
  • Paid training and development opportunities
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Staff recognition schemes
