The Communications Manager will be working with colleagues across the organisation, while also managing communications contacts across their priority areas and employers within our community. This is a pivotal project management role, working closely with the Head of Communications and three Communications Coordinator colleagues. You will be demonstrating your experience as a sound all-around digital marcoms expert. You are savvy in campaign delivery skills, working with various communication channels, with a track record of delivering outcomes with and via your team.

They are looking for a successful communications professional, preferably with significant experience in the charity/ not-for-profit sector who has managed communications functions and campaign delivery with breadth, context and scale.

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have at least 5 years’ experience working in a similar communications role, with at least three of those managing and developing multiple marcoms campaign delivery. You’ll be experienced in delivering and coordinating income generation campaigns, CRM data management, website and digital development, as well as monitoring and reporting on digital performance.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be involved in leading and co-ordinating the delivery of Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s research strategy including our programme of grants, and our work to support increased patient and public involvement in research.  They will work with the Director of Services & Evidence and Head of Evidence & Research to support the charity’s involvement with external research bodies and contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet our strategic objectives.

About You

We are looking for someone who has proven experience of delivering successful research funding and patient and public involvement research activities.  The successful candidate must be adept at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders and comfortable working with operational performance metrics, and implementing strategies and objectives for the organisation.  Ideally your background will be in health care or working in a medical charity and you’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent.  Given this role will involve managing and providing leadership to the Research team, prior management experience would be an advantage. Whilst not essential, a knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis would be beneficial also.

The Role

The Finance Manager is a key member of the Finance Office Team and is responsible for all areas of financial accounting, audit, treasury, tax, payroll and endowment management for the College, its trading subsidiaries, and Trusts.

The Finance Office is responsible for delivering best practice accounting so the College is able to make decisions based on accurate and timely information. This role is pivotal in ensuring the Finance Office Team is supported and managed through the delivery of the key responsibilities.

The candidate will be CCAB Qualified and a capable manager with the personal qualities necessary to lead a small team and influence peers.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary will be between £61,500 - £66,625 p.a. depending on experience. This is a permanent role at 36.25 hours per week. In addition to this the post holder would be eligible for a bonus every year, and meals on duty. A Birmingham-based housing association is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join their People team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Reporting to the Head of People Operations, you will lead a small team of two and provide strategic guidance across all areas of employee relations. You will be responsible for managing complex casework, supporting and coaching managers, developing policies, and driving a positive, fair and inclusive workplace culture. Acting as a key escalation point for high-risk cases, you will help safeguard the organisation against legal and reputational risks while promoting proactive employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the ER Advisory team, managing complex cases including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management and redundancies

- Full UK driving licence

You may also have Level 5 Diploma or equivalent, RGN (Adults) qualification and/or training in audit or quality improvement.
