The Role

As our eCommerce Assistant, reporting to the eCommerce Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day trading activity of our eCommerce Team. Your focus will be on helping us meet our online sales targets by efficiently listing products and ensuring orders are shipped promptly to our customers. You will also help us to make the most of our premium warehousing space, by keeping our listed products stored in the best possible locations for easy access and smooth operations.

As eCommerce Assistant you will have a passion for generating income for the charity, and a relentless commitment to delivering and exceeding targets to generate income for funding life-saving research.  

Specifically, you will:

E-commerce

• Set up warehouse locations for our new goods and products to support sales on our Shopify platform, ensuring they are set up correctly to maintain inventory.

• Support the eCommerce and Product Manager to identify opportunities to improve procedures and systems and support our volunteers with any changes to ways of working.

• Identify innovative new online trading and business opportunities to increase income, ensuring that these are raised with your line manager.

• Ensure all customers are communicated to effectively, and all posting and packaging is completed within prescribed timescales.

• Using ListingMonsterAI, produce listings for our eBay shop, ensuring that your KPIs are met.

• List appropriate items for sale on our Depop and Vinted channels, using your experience and training to establish what items will resonate with the demographics on those platforms.

People management

• Support our team of well-trained volunteers to ensure that they are operating in line with the expectations of the Yorkshire Cancer Research eCommerce team.

• Play a part in the wider eCommerce team and work to ensure that targets are met across the whole function, providing support to peers and managers, as and when required.

Financials

• Deliver the eCommerce budgets and KPIs.

• Consistently deliver the listing targets to ensure that there is a constant flow of new products online to drive interest and maintain the eBay algorithm

Strategic

• Ensure that listings generate brand awareness through adhering to brand guidelines.

• Work with colleagues to monitor supporter journeys for online shop customers.

Relationships

• Create an environment of continued volunteer engagement.

• Professionally represent Yorkshire Cancer Research as an ambassador in working relationships with external partners.

• Champion and role model excellence in customer and supporter experience and engagement within your team.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

· To be educated to GCSE or equivalent level qualification.

· To have a proven track record in, or passion for, eCommerce.

· To have a full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle and ability to travel across Yorkshire.

· To have experience of sales target delivery.

· To have experience of identifying process inefficiencies.

· To have a good understanding of eCommerce platforms including, but not limited to, eBay, Depop, Vinted and Shopify.

· To be familiar with eBay's policies.

The Interim Head of Funding will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the funding strategy of the foundation's three charities and will play a leading role in enabling the successful delivery of funding and impact.

Key responsibilities include:

You will have line management experience, with the ability to supporting teams through change management. You will also have experience of analysing complex financial information for grants budgets. You'll be an expert relationship manager, who can manage key internal stakeholders. You'll be a strong communicator with the ability to succinctly present complex narrative and financial information.

You'll also be a quick learner, able to grasp complex situations quickly, navigate complicated structures and offer pragmatic solutions. You'll also be empathetic and patient, and someone who is comfortable managing and prioritising a varied workload. Most importantly, you'll be motivated to support people and ideas that drive more equitable health.

About the Role

This is one of the most exciting senior fundraising roles in the sector right now. As Head of Partnership Development, you'll be at the heart of an exceptional, high-performing team that has grown income from £10m to over £20m in under four years. The Catholic Diocese of Northampton covers the traditional counties of Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, together with the town of Slough, a Unitary Authority within Berkshire.

The Diocese is involved in many different areas of life. With its southern edge resting on the Thames and its northern tip in the East Midlands, it is by no means the smallest English diocese. There are 69 principal parishes with another 26 "satellite churches", chapels of ease, and a few more Mass centres in private schools and other institutions. The diocese has 29 schools at primary/infant/junior level, 6 secondary schools, one 4-19 VA through-school, one private primary school, a private prep school, and one private girls’ boarding through-school. Between them they educate some 20,700 pupils.

The diocese is a registered charity, The Northampton Roman Catholic Diocesan Trust, and is also a registered company. Through this role you will help support our joint efforts to fund the highly impactful projects in Romania.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for our charity shops and support functions across London
• Post job adverts and screen CVs via platforms like Indeed and social media whilst budgeting and managing costs associated with recruitment
• Arrange and at times attend interviews with hiring managers
• Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and support them throughout the hiring process
• Support with the development of recruitment and volunteering policies
• Develop and maintain recruitment processes to help ensure compliance and observe best practice at all times
• Develop, organise and deliver recruitment training for hiring managers
• Contribute to targeted recruitment campaigns in collaboration with our marketing team
• Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment metrics
• Help grow our volunteer programme and develop pathways for volunteer engagement
• Produce insightful recruitment reports for the Senior Leadership Team
• Champion equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of hiring

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Proven experience as a recruitment professional  (3+ years) and qualifications in the subject matter, preferably CIPD certified
• Experience working in charity retail, non-profit organisations and recruiting volunteers
• Strong knowledge of recruitment platforms and applicant tracking systems
• Experience producing reports for senior leadership
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with great time management
• Passion for diversity, inclusion and collaborative working
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setup and travelling to shop locations

XLP is a vibrant youth work charity dedicated to shaping bright futures for young people. Leading the charge against poverty and educational failure in inner London, we offer holistic, long-term support to 11 to 25 year olds in both schools and communities.

We’re looking for a People and Culture Partner who will be a generalist with prior experience of working in a mid to senior level HR capacity. You’ll be responsible for the effective provision of comprehensive HR services for XLP, develop highly effective relationships across the team, maintaining a real understanding of their challenges and opportunities. You’ll partner with Line Managers on a range of HR duties encompassing the entire employee life cycle, including implementing an HR software platform and reporting, employee relations case work, safer recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, staff training and development and more.

You’ll ensure we recruit and retain excellent staff to ensure we’re giving our best for young people. You’ll be happy to manage all aspects of HR and the employee lifecycle, and not be afraid to work autonomously and get stuck in.

This is a full time, hybrid role.

Salary: £30,000 FTE pro rata for 30 hours per week (£24,000 per annum)

Job purpose:

To secure, manage and grow income from corporate partners, supporting The Sussex Beacon’s mission to provide specialist care and support for people living with HIV and its new LGBTQ+ Hospice provision. This role is responsible for building long-term, strategic relationships with businesses, creating tailored partnership opportunities, and contributing to the charity’s wider income generation strategy and its five year fundraising plan. The postholder will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to maximise corporate engagement and fundraising potential.

Corporate Partnership Fundraising at The Sussex Beacon

 The Sussex Beacon has a proud history of working with corporate supporters who are passionate about making a difference. The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser will lead on identifying new corporate prospects, developing compelling proposals, and managing a portfolio of existing partners. They will create and deliver partnership plans that may include sponsorship, employee fundraising, cause-related marketing, and volunteering. By aligning business objectives with The Sussex Beacon’s values and impact, the postholder will ensure meaningful and sustainable relationships that benefit both parties.

Team Beacon

Team Beacon is the charity’s event fundraising brand, bringing together supporters through challenge events, campaigns, and volunteering. The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser will work closely with other members of the Fundraising team to support our corporate challenge events, encourage staff engagement, and develop sponsorship packages for major events such as The Brighton Half Marathon, which we own, and community challenges. This collaborative approach enhances visibility and fosters a sense of shared purpose among partners and supporters alike.

 Business Networking Events

 The postholder will represent The Sussex Beacon at a variety of business networking events, including LGBTQ+ network events, across Sussex and beyond. These events offer valuable opportunities to connect with potential partners, showcase the charity’s impact, and build strategic relationships. The Fundraiser will be proactive in identifying and attending relevant events, from Chamber of Commerce meetings to local business expos, ensuring The Sussex Beacon maintains a visible and professional presence in the corporate community.

 Other duties

· Maintain accurate records of partner interactions and income through the charity’s CRM system.

· Prepare regular reports and updates for the Head of Income and senior leadership.

· Work with the communications team to highlight successful partnerships and case studies.

· Support the wider fundraising team during peak periods or major campaigns.

· Stay up to date with trends and developments in corporate fundraising and CSR.

· Responsibility alongside fundraising for corporate events such as The Sussex Beacon relay and 5k inflatable course.
