We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to join us as Head of Sector Development. As Head of Sector Development, you will lead a high-performing team to deliver and evolve a portfolio of services that support career progression, professional registration, accreditation, training, and sector-wide standards. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the sector development function, reporting on its impact and outcomes, and driving commercial growth through effective product design and service delivery. Your leadership will ensure that quality assurance standards are upheld across all services, while also championing the importance of professionalism and ethical practice throughout the sector.

This is a newly developed Careers Advisor role is funded by the North East Combined Authority and forms a core part of our strategy to improve employment outcomes for women from Black and racially minoritised communities who are not currently in work or education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified Careers Advisor to rebuild and lead an impactful careers service within the Angelou Centre.
Many of the women we support have English as an additional language and face multiple barriers to employment. They are survivors who are on a journey to rebuilding their independence and therefore may require additional training support with household budgeting, life skills or understanding the public transport system amongst other things. Your work will directly support women to take confident, supported steps into training, volunteering and work often for the first time in the UK.
This role combines direct client work with strategic development with support from the Senior Administrator. You’ll be responsible for managing individual development plans and setting SMART goals with our service users, building local opportunity networks, and helping to develop a robust data recording system to demonstrate outcomes and impact.

As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Manager, you'll be the driving force behind delivering our ambitious fundraising targets in this area, maximising opportunities, working with a range of agencies, stakeholders and your team to deliver our outsourced face to face acquisition programme in the UK, ensuring its success day to day.

· Continue the delivery of a project plan reflecting the 2025-30 strategy, ensuring that activities happen at pace, are deadline-driven and achieve a high level of impact.

Essential skills and experience
- Belief and commitment to Career Ready’s mission and values
- Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT) accountant with at least 5 years’ experience in financial management including budgeting, preferably in the charity sector.

- The Manchester Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools.
