As a member of the Admissions & support team, you will be supporting the recruitment and development of new social workers, who will then go onto change the lives of vulnerable children and families. You will play a key role in supporting the completion of all suitability checks (conduct, health and previous social care involvement) for Approach Social Work applicants, managing competing deadlines and multiple applicant cases at any one time.
The role requires a qualified social worker with experience of statutory practice and ideally substantial working knowledge of implementing reasonable adjustments in practice. Small grants, donations and our reserves fund this while we get longer term funding. Our self-advocates want us to focus on paid employment, youth services and making Brent Council use accessible information properly. People with a learning disability, neurodiversity and their family carers are inclusively supported by social prescribers for advice and by health educators/coaches for health-related matters if needed.

The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.

About the Role
The Diocese is seeking to appoint a new independent Chair to this important group, which oversees safeguarding policy, procedures, and practice across the Diocese. You will:
- Use your creativity and ability to experiment in introducing innovative and modern learning practices across the organisation
- Design and deliver innovative learning interventions that support leadership and management development across the organisation.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts and senior staff within the organisation to understand learning needs and develop the right interventions.
- Create evaluation methods to measure changes in behaviour and performance across leaders and managers
- Act as a valued advisor for leaders and managers across the organisation supporting their development
It is essential to be able to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing and conflicting demands in an organised and effective manner. The post is for 37.5 hours per week and a degree of flexibility is necessary. This role will work from home but will have moderate travel nationally across the organisation.

We’re partnering with XLP to recruit a strategic and proactive Director of Fundraising to shape and lead the charity’s income generation and communications. You will bring direction, structure and momentum to a newly forming team, strengthening individual giving and philanthropy, growing corporate partnerships, and overseeing trusts, events and digital campaigns. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will report to the Chief Executive Officer and collaborate with the Director of Youth Work and Director of Operations. You will also line manage the Head of Fundraising, the Partnerships Lead and the Fundraising & Reporting Officer, and oversee the Communications Manager to ensure clear, consistent and compelling external messaging that supports fundraising objectives.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Set the strategic direction for fundraising and communications, embedding strong planning, process and performance monitoring.
- Grow and diversify income across individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations, events and digital campaigns, with a focus on individual giving, major donors and philanthropy.
- Build and steward long term, high value supporter relationships, representing XLP confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Lead, develop and motivate a high performing, collaborative team and culture.
- Own income targets of £2.5m - £3m per annum, with robust pipeline management, budgeting and forecasting.

Creative Support has an established Head Office based in Stockport. Creative Support has over thirty years in successful operations supporting over 6,500 vulnerable people nationally. We have ambitious plans to continue our successful, and person-centred services. The successful post holder will support one or two senior team members, including directors or head of departments based at Head Office and the CEO with a range of PA tasks.
Personal Assistant Duties:
· Arranging and supporting meetings.
· Minuting meetings and ensuring accurate records are kept.
· Diary management for senior staff.
· Support to organise meetings virtually and minute take some of the board meetings which will be on a scheduled basis in the evenings periodically.
The post holder must be able to plan and prioritise a varied workload, exercising appropriate judgement and responding promptly and appropriately to all enquiries. The post holder will be required to handle information of a confidential nature and must observe the highest standards of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality. The post holder will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with service users, staff and external stakeholders.
You will also form part of the Head Office PA team. The spirit of the PA department is very much a team approach and a high degree of flexibility will be required to deputise for colleagues in their absence and support with peaks in workload. As part of your responsibilities, it is required that holiday periods are coordinated to ensure that there is sufficient PA cover to meet corporate requirements. Progression into specialised areas of the business will also be considered as you develop in this role.

• Spending time every week with clients to make assessments of their current circumstances and holistic needs.
• Supporting clients to secure and sustain move on accommodation: rent payments, utilities, neighbour disputes, budgeting, reporting repairs, dealing with correspondence etc.
• Providing a clear sign-posting service with referrals to relevant agencies and support services and building links with support organisations, such as Housing Associations, Social Services, drug and alcohol agencies.
• Facilitating access to general and specialist health care, as well as services such as education, leisure, cultural-specific services, employment opportunities, etc.
• Supporting clients in maximising and maintaining income.
• Ensuring that risk assessments, support plans and outcomes are flexible and made on an individual case-by-case basis.
• Liaising on clients’ behalf with others such as landlords, money and health services, and accommodation providers.
• Providing crisis intervention support including responding to risk such as eviction, anti-social behaviour, loss of amenities, etc.
