This is an exciting opportunity for a trusts and foundations fundraiser with some experience to shape a new role. The post offers an attractive balance between having the autonomy to work on your own initiative, whilst working closely (and receiving full support from) the CEO, who is also an experienced fundraiser and member of Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
You will be responsible for applying for grants for the varied work of the charity and managing relationships with a portfolio of existing funders. You will work with the CEO to contribute to and shape the organisation’s fundraising strategy, which is likely to involve diversifying our funding strategy into additional types of fundraising. This post would suit a competent trusts and foundation fundraiser with a few years’ experience, who is looking to diversify their fundraising experience into other areas of fundraising (e.g. individual donations, community and event fundraising, or corporate) and grow with this new fundraising department.
Ascension Community Trust (ACT) is a busy and much-loved local charity. Our current focus is on reducing poverty and improving the health, education and opportunities for the residents of our community.
As a Trusts & Foundations fundraiser you will be responsible for fundraising for a range of ACT’s community projects including Newham District Foodbank (A Trussell Trust foodbank delivered by ACT and two community partners), welfare benefits advice, immigration advice, ESOL classes, work with adults with learning difficulties, as well as work with children, young people and their families.

The Willow Major Events Team hosts a range of events to engage Willow’s key supporters. These range in large-scale events such as the Willow Ball and London Football Awards, to smaller more intimate events such as Golf and Shoot Days.
Job purpose
- This role will support the delivery of Willow’s programme of Major Events, as well as supporting third party events, ensuring that these promote and present Willow in a professional and compelling manner, maximising opportunities for donor cultivation, fundraising and maximising income generation.

ULI Europe requires an experienced, highly-organised individual to work closely with the CEO of ULI Europe, Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust, Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer and VP of Business Development and Membership to administer and support the growth of ULI’s philanthropic fundraising work in Europe.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe.
The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe. The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer.
This position requires excellent organisational, administrative, and stakeholder management skills, particularly within the charity or philanthropic sector.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, donation tracking, gift processing, and donor stewardship in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US.
- Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team.
- Collaborate closely with the ULI Europe Business Development and Membership team, ULI’s country directors, and the governance director to support the planning and implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy set by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee.
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors,, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee;

Job Description: Training and Events Officer
The Training and Events Officer will play a key role developing and delivering high quality professional development, training, events, workshops to SLA members and wider audiences. The postholder will develop inspirational, insightful and innovative routes to supporting SLA members to deliver on their school library provision remit, enabling children and young people to reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, education and training.
You will work with the CEO, SLA colleagues and key stakeholders to develop and deliver a comprehensive training offer, including leading on logistics planning and delivery of our flagship annual conference. In addition, you will develop and maintain a calendar of exciting events and opportunities to share knowledge and insight, working with colleagues to ensure the offer is timely and informative. A confident facilitator and coordinator, you will be comfortable leading on training delivery, or recruiting and working with external facilitators in order to achieve specific outcomes. Creative, with a flair for spotting opportunities for professional development, you will have a keen eye for detail and an ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines. Resource creation will be second-nature to you and you’ll be comfortable writing for adults and children, and young people.
Duties include:
- Logistics planning and delivery of the flagship event, SLA Annual Conference (currently called the Weekend Course) providing high quality professional development and networking opportunities to members

The Salvation Army, the UK’s leading social welfare charity, is seeking a direct marketing expert to lead its newly formed Supporter Acquisition and Innovation Unit and provide strategic leadership, direction, and management of the annual acquisition programme.
The Salvation Army is one of the largest, most diverse providers of social and community services after the Government. With more than 600 local centres and nearly 100 residential centres, they make a powerful difference to people across the UK who might otherwise be excluded.
The Assistant Head of Individual Giving is a key, senior role in the Individual Giving Section, overseeing the development and delivery of multi-channel direct marketing activities that inspire and motivate many thousands of new contactable supporters to join the charity’s donor base each year. The post also leads the development and implementation of new acquisition products from concept to launch and meeting an initial annual fundraising target of approximately £500,000. The role leads a unit of three people including one direct line report.
The successful candidate will have extensive expertise in all aspects of direct marketing, specifically acquisition, including detailed knowledge and experience of how best to maximise both offline and online channels, as well as successfully implementing new and innovative products or offers. Experience in successful strategic planning, management and implementation of strategy will be critical as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates must be highly organised project managers with excellent leadership and people management skills and the ability to think analytically and critically. They will also possess skills in creative development and, finally, have the ability and willingness to work within, and be empathic with, the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army Mission.

The Communications Manager will be working with colleagues across the organisation, while also managing communications contacts across their priority areas and employers within our community. This is a pivotal project management role, working closely with the Head of Communications and three Communications Coordinator colleagues. You will be demonstrating your experience as a sound all-around digital marcoms expert. You are savvy in campaign delivery skills, working with various communication channels, with a track record of delivering outcomes with and via your team.
They are looking for a successful communications professional, preferably with significant experience in the charity/ not-for-profit sector who has managed communications functions and campaign delivery with breadth, context and scale.
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have at least 5 years’ experience working in a similar communications role, with at least three of those managing and developing multiple marcoms campaign delivery. You’ll be experienced in delivering and coordinating income generation campaigns, CRM data management, website and digital development, as well as monitoring and reporting on digital performance.
