CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit organisations across the UK who specialise in adoption services. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.
The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.
The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The Senior Grants Officer (Business Development) will join ClientEarth’s thriving and growing Business Development team. Main Duties
- Prospect research and pipeline development - Proactively undertake research to identify, qualify and prioritise new funding prospects/ opportunities to support the build of a pipeline of high quality leads to guide future fundraising efforts;
- Business Development and Income generation - Draft clear and compelling written fundraising materials including cases for support, funding proposals, and concept notes;
- Systems and processes - Provide timely and accurate information to the Business Development Manager on funding opportunities in their portfolio and progress with workplan, as requested, to enable accurate monitoring and reporting to the Head of Business Development;
- Understanding of ClientEarth’s programmes and funding needs
Role requirements
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
- Experience of working in a fundraising or business development role for a charity, NGO, private or public entity;
- Experience of drafting compelling and successful proposals for trusts, foundations and statutory institutions and securing multi-year grants, ideally at the six-figure level and above;
- Experience of supporting the relationship development process with a new donor, from prospect research through to ask.
- Strong project management skills to lead the proposal development process to meet funder deadlines, including stakeholder management;

Covering the England and Wales the Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing various income streams across the Community portfolio working closely with the wider team.

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. This role is part of our peer support services team and will be responsible for supporting our online peer support communities, including our forum and Facebook groups.

Programme Management

Team Support and Line Management

- Work with colleagues from across the team to identify areas for improvement and strengthening.
Miscellaneous
- Attend and present THET’s work at UK and international events, including the THET annual conference.

We bring together charities, corporates and government to address the underlying issues stopping families gaining full access to digital services such as education, healthcare and employment. We seek social change through our National Delivery Plan, whilst also delivering solutions in local areas that help real people and provide evidence for change.
This is an exciting, high profile and fast-paced role, joining our small team and working alongside partners, National Delivery Committee members and our wider stakeholders to effect real change for people. You will report directly to the Chief Executive, working alongside our Head of External Affairs.

This is an exciting 2 day a week role to be part of the growing Newham District Foodbank and Ascension’s Advice Service. On 9th June 2021 Ascension’s foodbank officially became part of the Trussell Trust network. We were named Newham District Foodbank, because our plan is to expand to more than one distribution centre to ensure that people across the whole of Newham are well supported. As part of the strategy, we have already secured funding to have debt and benefit advisors supporting each new distribution centre.

You will provide high level strategic work, including liaising with donors, referral partners and other local foodbanks and support new partners into Newham District Foodbank. Your role will include fundraising for and reporting on the work of Newham District Foodbank, including local partnership funding. You will be involved in the recruitment, management and development of staff and volunteers.

Job Summary
The Haringey Community Collaborative Manager is responsible for leading the development of the VCS Capacity Building strategy and the effective co-ordination of the Community Collaborative team which includes a Communications and Engagement Officer, a Workplace Development Manager, and a Capacity Building Manager.
We envisage the Haringey Community Collaborative Manager performing at either a primarily operational level or, for a more experienced candidate, at both operational and strategic levels. The salary range reflects this, with the upper end of the salary range reserved for candidates who can demonstrate an ability to deliver at both the operational and strategic levels.
Operationally, the postholder will have specific management responsibility for co-developing priorities for local VCS funding and capacity building, as well as the Volunteer Centre and wider VCS community of practice. Strategically, the role would include a wider contribution to the strategic management and development of Public Voice, supporting the CEO as required. This would include leading the shaping and delivery of a Capacity Building strategy; representing the VCS Alliance at stakeholder meetings and influencing key stakeholders to better support Haringey’s VCS; as well as growing the reach and impact of the Capacity Building service by engaging new funders and partners.

This is a senior support post of essential development importance to allow the Dean, Chief Operating Officer, Chapter and committees to develop and maintain an effective system of governance for the Cathedral with adherence to the highest standards of good governance practice. Salary: £27,200 (pro rata from £34,000)

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Governance administration
- Assist in the production and submission of a range of information required in order to demonstrate compliance;
- Liaise with external legal advisors as required;
- Assist the COO with returns, reports and filings for statutory bodies including the Charity Commission, Church Commissioners, Information Commissioner’s Office, HSE and Companies House;
- Act as the Whistleblowing Officer and assist in the working of the Whistleblowing Policy;
- Assist with the completion of questionnaires and reports for the Cathedral’s insurers, Association of English Cathedrals etc;
- Maintain the declarations of interest and gift registry records for senior staff and committee members and record in the minutes when committee members are conflicted out or need to declare an interest;
- Assist the COO in keeping a log of complaints under the Complaints Policy adopted under the Cathedrals Measure and help to ensure that complaints are dealt with according to the policy;
- Provide such other support at the COO reasonably requires including correspondence, research and diary management.
Committees administration
- Lead the co-ordination, preparation, planning and follow-up for meetings and other committee work associated with the governance of the Cathedral. This will include issuing invitations, booking rooms, issuing Zoom invitations, arranging refreshments and access needs, assisting in the drafting of agendas, gathering and circulating supporting papers for the meetings, attending meetings, taking confidential minutes, circulating and amending minutes and maintaining action trackers for the members of the following committees: Chapter, Finance Committee, Audit & Risk Committtee;
- Assist in the work of the Nominations Committee to recruit members for the new committees;
- Assist in the work of the Standing Committee as it prepares for Chapter meetings;
- Assist the Dean and COO in their governance responsibilities under the Care of Cathedrals Measure 2021, including being the point of contact with the Fabric Advisory Committee and liaising with its Chair and Secretary;
- Liaise with committee members and maintain good relationships;
- Liaise with professional advisers where appropriate and in consultation with the COO;
- Assist in the scheduling of training and circulation of information and papers for Chapter and committee members as required.
Safeguarding administration
The Cathedral follows the safeguarding best practice and guidance set out in the Diocesan policy “A Safe Church” and also follows the policies and guidance set out by the National Safeguarding Team.
Reporting to the Cathedral Safeguarding Lead (CSL), the post-holder will:
- Assist the CSL in ensuring that safer recruitment practice is observed in all recruitment;
- Undertake the DBS checks for staff and volunteers if required, including verifying identity, submitting the applications and reporting to the candidate’s line manager/team leader when the checks have been completed. This will include advising colleagues as to which checks are appropriate and liaising with the Diocesan Safeguarding team and Volunteers & Community Officer;
- Maintain accurate records of all DBS checks carried out in a central register;
- Arrange for all new staff (paid and volunteer) to attend safeguarding training and arrange follow-up training for existing staff (every 3 years). This will include ascertaining which levels of training are required and which individuals will also need specific additional training for their roles;
- Liaise with the trainers to identify training sessions, book rooms and catering and arrange room set-up;
- Maintain accurate records of all safeguarding training carried out in a central register;
- Report to Chapter when required.
Additional responsibilities
- Support the COO in the coordination of risk management across the organisation;
- Arrange and manage the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) and parish clerking duties;
- Ensure timely publication of statutory notices in advance of the annual APCM;
- Assist the COO with returns, reports and filings for the Parish;
- Support data protection compliance across the organisation;
- Ensure that the highest standards of professional performance are maintained;

Royal Trinity Hospice is the local hospice for southwest and central London. We provide free specialist palliative and end of life care for people living in Wandsworth and parts of Lambeth, Merton, Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Richmond.

The successful appointee of this role will sit within a small but busy IT team and will be responsible for first class support of Royal Trinity Hospice’s customers and systems.
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the Senior IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support services to the staff, volunteers and service users at the hospice, and will support the IT Operations Manager in their day-to-day activities, ensuring the IT service is delivered to the agreed standards, as well as providing mentorship and team-leadership to the IT Support Technicians within the team.
What you’ll be doing
The primary duties of the Senior IT Support Technician include, but are not limited to:

Research Initiatives Manager

The Research Initiatives Manager is a crucial role at the College, as you will work closely with senior clinicians to lead a series of projects and activities to feed into the development and delivery of child-health research initiatives. The initiatives include research awards, research events and research capacity and capability building, by embedding academic skills into the paediatric workforce and enabling academic research.
As Research Initiatives Manager, you will also lead on the RCPCH Genomics Programme which aims to develop and deliver a series of resources and activities related to the integration of genomics services into mainstream paediatrics.
Based within the Research and Evidence team, you will be the operational lead for relevant Committees and working groups, acting as a representative of the College to represent the views of paediatricians, whilst ensuring timely reporting of progress to Project Boards.
You will also build and develop relationships with external stakeholders and work with the Head of Grants and Partnerships to identify sources of funding to support future work within the Research and Evidence remit.
With a degree or equivalent experience with a research, health science, life sciences or genetics/genomics component, you should have a proven understanding of the national funding landscape and infrastructure for clinical research.
You should have experience of collaborative ways of working across multidisciplinary teams and programmes of work, along with demonstrable experience of producing high quality written reports, documentation and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences.
With excellent organisational skills and an ability to adopt an orderly and precise approach to work, paying careful attention to detail and the ability to follow standard procedures and ways of working, you should also have demonstrable programme management skills, and be capable of working autonomously and taking personal responsibility for your projects.
Knowledge of research methodology, including data analysis, along with a project management qualification and an understanding of genomic medicine would be desirable. An understanding of the education and training pathways of paediatric healthcare professionals as well as experience of events management, would also be desirable.

About the Role
The role requires a well-structured and highly organised approach, to ensure delivery and reporting is of the highest quality and a creative and proactive approach, to navigate challenges and hold others to account, when needed. The project management aspect of the role requires someone who is an excellent communicator with responsibility to oversee Service Level Agreements (agreed outputs, outcomes and communications) between the organisation and Youth Zones, and their relationships with funders.. Whilst also taking time to bring Youth Zones together to share learnings and good practice, fostering collaboration across the Network, and support the Fundraising team in their stewardship of long-term donor relationships.
