We’re a thriving advice organisation that is part of the national Citizens Advice network. We provide information, advice and casework support to around 10,000 people a year. Our services are delivered by a team of around 40 paid staff and 60 volunteers. Why we need you
Supported by existing project funding and a long-term grant from the Access to Justice Foundation, we’re looking for two people to join our Senior Management Team and help lead the next phase of our innovative and award-winning development work. The Head of Core Service and Head of Community Partnerships will work together to:
- Continue developing our approach to community engagement, helping reduce access barriers for people from the most marginalised communities.
- Embed changes to our core service that make it more accessible and responsive to those communities.
Both roles also have overall responsibility for a range of funded projects and services and, as leaders and managers, responsibility for:
- Ensuring we live up to our values, standards and ambitions.
- Managing contracts and relationships with funders, partners and other stakeholders.
- Developing organisational strategy and identifying new funding and partnership opportunities.
With a focus on operational compliance and core delivery, the Head of Core Service role would suit applicants with a strong track record of managing advice services, ideally within the Citizens Advice network. We’re not necessarily looking for someone with an advice background for the Head of Community Partnerships role, but great project management, people management and relationship building skills are essential. Prostate cancer is harming too many men, in exchange for too few cures, which is why we are motivated more than ever to deliver a future where prostate cancer is no longer limiting men’s lives. We invest in the most innovative research which will expand our understanding of prostate cancer and one day improve the lives of men with the disease. Recently we announced the funding of the TRANSFORM study, a £42 million programme to trial on a national scale new ways to screen for prostate cancer. It’s through this initiative that we intend to generate the definitive evidence needed to underpin a national screening programme for prostate cancer which could save thousands of men’s lives each year.
What the job involves
As a Diagnosis Research Lead, you’ll oversee the management of the TRANSFORM study on behalf of the charity, closely monitoring progress and spend against project timelines/budgets and regularly reporting back to key stakeholders internally and externally about this exciting initiative. You’ll regularly liaise with the study leads and the wider network of collaborators, as well as set up and oversee the management of the governance steering committees for the programme.
You’ll develop a detailed understanding of our portfolio of research and the wider diagnostic research landscape for prostate cancer, establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant research groups and companies working in the diagnostic space. This role will also involve working closely with colleagues in our communications and fundraising directorates to showcase the TRANSFORM study to public, scientific and healthcare professional audiences, demonstrating our research efforts towards achieving earlier and accurate diagnosis.
What we want from you
We believe the TRANSFORM study will generate practice-changing evidence to support screening for prostate cancer, with the potential to save thousands of men’s lives in the UK each year. This is therefore a critical role to us. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about, and experienced in, research grant management and in particular, the management and delivery of multi-site clinical trials.
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about research and able to understand and communicate complex scientific information found in applications, progress reports, research papers and presentations. You’ll be a confident and clear communicator, able to build strong working relationships and provide valuable support to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior researchers, senior colleagues, trustees, corporate partners and committee members.
With experience in project management, you’ll have an ability to organise and prioritise a diverse workload depending on business need, delivering to stipulated timeframes whilst consistently maintaining the highest standards, with a meticulous attention to detail. This role will also require you to be proficient in the use of standard IT packages (most notably Microsoft Office), ideally with experience of grant management software such as Symplectic Grant Tracker.
Importantly, you must be excited and motivated about achieving major improvements for men with, or at high risk of, prostate cancer.

Main purpose of the role

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management
- Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate partnerships including strategic partnerships, commercial partnerships, charity of the year and corporate donations, and support Corporate Partnership Managers with responsibilities relating to larger partnerships.
- Deliver excellent partnership management including developing a partnership plan, meeting with stakeholders, delivery of partner benefits and account stewardship.
- Develop and deliver timely, relevant and engaging impact reporting.
- Develop new and grow existing corporate partnerships, drafting and negotiating partnership agreements, for the best outcomes across FareShare’s work and maximising the income potential.
- Maintain robust account growth plans, update pipelines and stakeholder mapping for your partners.

New Business
- Proactively approaching corporate opportunities following our new business strategy, writing funding proposals and approaching community groups for new partnerships

- Maintaining accurate cultivation plans and reporting for new business approaches

Communication and Administration
- Develop PR and communication plans for corporate partners, working in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
- Manage the general administration and accurate data management for your partners.
- Support annual budgeting and planning in line with the fundraising team’s strategic objectives. Report on any variances of income against budget and undertake contingency planning to minimise risk.
- Where necessary, work with the wider teams at FareShare and with our regional centre partners to deliver greater partner impact.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. 1. Background
The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) promotes evidence-informed equitable, inclusive and sustainable development. We support the generation and effective use of high-quality evidence to inform decision-making and improve the lives of people living in poverty in low- and middle-income countries (L&MICs). We provide guidance and support to produce impact evaluations and associated formative evaluations; systematic reviews and syntheses, evidence gap maps and support for using that evidence in decision-making and capacity development. The Contracts and Compliance Officer will support 3ie’s efforts in contract, compliance, safeguarding and risk management guidance and oversight with an emphasis on providing direct billable compliance support to the FCDO Research Commissioning Centre (RCC). The Officer will work closely with various teams across the organization including project, business development, finance, and senior management teams to develop and implement compliance processes, tools, resources, and best practices, provide quality control, and build staff capacity in compliance and risk management. 2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 FCDO RCC Contracting, Compliance and Risk Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and grants for sub awardees delivering work under the RCC.
- Support strategies and systems to respond to FCDO and/or RCC project team requests for new research commissions, project related questions, and general advisory services providing information and interpretation on a broad range of topics including contract and subcontracting regulations, compliance procedures, management, and risk mitigation.
- Provide safeguarding leadership, including implementation of best practices for the RCC, review of downstream partner policies and practices, audit of safeguarding procedures, etc.
- Identify and propose mitigation strategies for RCC operational, financial, and other compliance gaps that pose risk to the project and/or 3ie.

2.2 Organizational Compliance and Risk Management
- Serve as the primary resource and subject matter expert on FCDO contracts, risk, and compliance to ensure quality control and guidance in order to maintain consistent approaches and implement best practices across 3ie’s FCDO portfolio.
- Stay updated on changes in FCDO and other donor rules, regulations, and industry wide compliance best practices.
- Support the development and implementation of 3ie internal policies and procedures to enhance contract and grant compliance. This includes but is not limited to reviewing, analyzing, and making recommendations to current policies, processes, and internal controls to ensure effective and efficient identification and mitigation of noncompliance and risks.
- Recommend improvements to the corporate authorities structure, file/recordkeeping processes, as well as support senior management in organizational risk management.
- Support the development and maintenance of a repository of contract and grant compliance best practices, innovative approaches, guidance documents, and tools.
- Contribute to increasing staff awareness and capacity of donor regulations, 3ie policies, tools, templates, and procedures through formal and ad hoc trainings and development of guidance materials

2.3 Business Development

3. Qualifications and Skills
- Undergraduate degree in relevant field
- 3-5 years (Officer) or 5+ years (Sr. Officer) of experience in direct contract administration or compliance, preferably with FCDO and/or a mix of bilateral (USAID, GIZ, NORAD), multilateral (UN, World Bank), and foundations (BMGF, GAVI) in the international development context
- Strong knowledge and understanding of FCDO and/or other bilateral and multilateral rules, regulations, and policies required
- Experience with a wide variety of grants, contracts, and subcontract types and methodologies (commercial contracts, accountable grants, framework agreements, hybrid agreements/contracts)

We are a dynamic mental health charity on a mission to support Londoners facing mental health challenges to harness good employment as part of their mental health recovery journey. As we continue to grow and secure key contracts, we are looking for a strategic and visionary leader to take on the pivotal role of Director of Employment Services.

Your role will be to:
· Strategically grow and enhance our employment support services, nurturing a culture of innovation whilst ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
· Drive strong performance in meeting commissioner-led targets and exceeding expectations.
· Lead a wider team of 80+ dedicated staff across multiple sites to achieve stellar outcomes.
· Build partnerships with health providers, employers and commissioners to broaden reach and impact.
· Promote our impact externally to drive recognition and maintain our outstanding reputation.
· Implement robust governance, quality assurance (e.g. IPS) and safeguarding measures.
· Monitor budgets and identify efficiencies.
· Recruit, develop and get the best from your people whilst maintaining a culture of positivity and teamwork.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Aldgate and outreach London

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead a large staff team across London to achieve and exceed programme performance targets and operational standards.
· Oversee core services including IPS in Primary Care, IPS in SMI and Employment Advisors in Talking Therapies, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
· Line management of currently 4 Service Leads.
· Champion a person-centered, outcomes-focused culture of excellence and innovation.
· Ensure services meet quality assurance standards including high IPS fidelity.
· Monitor and evaluate team/individual performance, taking action to address issues.
· Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and relationships with commissioners, health providers, employers.
· Contribute to the delivery of Twining and Hestia’s strategic plans, by working in partnership with other departments and directorates, external organisations, and commissioners.
· Proactively scan the environment for gaps and opportunities to create new interventions to underpin recovery through employment for people experiencing complex needs.
· Collaborate closely with Business Development in tendering for new services and in the retention of existing services.
· Achieve results within agreed budgets and identify efficiencies.
· Prepare and distribute reports as required.
· Promote Twining’s employment services and successes through effective internal and external communications.
· Recruit, train, develop and performance manage high caliber staff.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety responsibilities, legislation, regulations and policies.
· Work flexibly within the Senior Leadership Team and maintain professional knowledge and development.
