Overview of Role:

Church Army is looking for an experienced ‘Apprenticeship Programme Lead’ to implement, support and develop our Youth Ministry Apprenticeship Programme, focusing on developing practitioners to inhabit the qualities outlined in the Ministerial Formation Framework.

Church Army has been awarded funding by the Church of England’s Resourcing Ministerial Formation Innovation Fund and the 30K Project to develop a three-year pilot project to develop Level 3 Apprenticeship Training for Church Based Youth Workers. This is part of the Church of England’s 30K Project, to raise up 30,000 new children and youth ministers (both voluntary and employed) by 2030.

The postholder will manage programme delivery, resources, quality assurance, assessment, and reporting, and will act as the main liaison with dioceses, training providers, and National Church Institutions, including using the Church of England grant management system. You will contribute to the design and review of training pathways, teach and assess apprentices, and oversee Ministerial Formation Tutors. You will ensure that training is aligned with emerging practice and national strategy.

Salary: £46,085 per annum

Hours:37.5  per week

Pension: Church Army is an auto enrolment pension employer. You will be assessed under pension auto enrolment criteria.

Annual Leave: 25 days, plus Bank Holidays (total 33 days)

Contract:Fixed-Term, 3 years.

The Opportunity   

As a key team member within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will play a vital role in creating, developing and delivering the Social Mobility Foundation’s Employer Programme and Social Mobility Employer Index - how we inform, influence and positively impact employer-led social mobility, and a source of income generation. 
 

1. Delivery of the Social Mobility Employer Index 

• Deliver the SMEI 2026, including but not limited to: marking entries, creating individual feedback reports for each entrant, creating sector reports for key industries, and gathering feedback to review and update the survey for 2027 

• Maintain accurate and up to date information and process documentation, including the mark scheme used to mark entries, and the process followed to create feedback reports 

• Support with the ongoing development of the digital platform, employer resources and online content, ensuring it is updated in line with the survey and delivers a smooth user journey

• Support with the annual monitoring and evaluation of the SMEI and its impact on employer-led social mobility 

2. Stakeholder management and customer service 

• Provide excellent customer service and stewardship to organisations entering the SMEI throughout the whole customer journey, e.g. preparing and sending regular communications and updates to prospective and live entrants, answering questions received into the SMEI inbox and troubleshooting independently 

• Prepare and deliver feedback calls and presentations for organisations, including Lunch & Learns on social mobility, introductory calls on the SMEI, presentations and webinars about the SMEI, and providing detailed feedback calls on entrants’ performance in the SMEI 

• Support with creating and developing assets and activities to market the SMEI and other products and services including webinars and social media assets 

• Engage with external stakeholders, such as employers, policy experts and social mobility practitioners, to understand key issues and trends relevant to workplace social mobility 

3. Quality standards 

• Stay up to date with the latest research, evidence and on workplace and employer-led social mobility, communicating changes or updates with colleagues, as well as maintaining and updating the evidence base for the SMEI

• Maintain accurate and up to date records, using SharePoint and our Salesforce CRM to support pipeline management, income tracking and partner records, namely for the SMEI

Purpose and responsibilities of the post

Reporting to the DARE UK Director, the Deputy Director is a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping and delivering the programme’s next phase of impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Donor Identification, solicitation and management 

• Work with the UK Country Manager to grow the donor portfolio in the UK by identifying prospects, building relationships and secure gifts from high net-worth individuals and other philanthropic donors. 

• Identify and deliver unique stewardship and cultivation opportunities for donors.

• Manage a portfolio of major donors through various personalised approaches, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, events and written and verbal communications. 

• Ensure excellent and timely response to enquiries and stewardship and acknowledgement of gifts. 

Events coordination 

• Work with the UK Country Manager to help shape and deliver events and other engagement opportunities to generate income, cultivate and steward donors. 

• Take responsibility for tailored and timely event follow-up to maximise relationships and using learnings and data from past events to develop donor engagement, referrals and gifts. 

Research, communications and administration  

• Research potential new donors and funding streams.

• Support the production of proposals, pitches, reports and general supporter communications. 

• Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording of interactions and progression related to all donor relationships 

• Provide executive assistance to the UK Country Manager and senior stakeholders in relation to scheduling supporter meetings, drafting communications and provision of information to underpin successful supporter engagement. 

• Maintain strong knowledge and understanding of HPF’s programmes. 

• Carry out administrative activities and other duties, as required, to maximise fundraising. 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience 

• Experience developing relationships with and securing funding from high-net-worth individuals and other philanthropic donors. 

• Entrepreneurial approach to relationship management and creating new fundraising initiatives. 

• Experience in coordination and delivery of bespoke, high-quality events for influential audiences. 

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and a proactive networker, able to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for HPF. 

• Experience of writing inspiring, emotive, and technically fundraising communications and materials tailored to a major donor audience. 

• Exceptional organisational and time management skills to prioritise and manage own workload. 

• Results driven self-starter, able to operate independently and under pressure, whilst also able to engage meaningfully in a virtual team. 

• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, across multiple teams and geographies. 

• Strong IT skills, including an understanding of CRM systems. 

• Strong affinity with HPF mission, values and approach.  

Desirable: 

• Experience working in an international organisation. 

• Experience working with a fundraising board or high value committee. 

• Experience of working closely with and reporting to Boards of Trustees. 

• Experience using Salesforce, or another fundraising database.

About Your Role

This role is central to how the organisation functions day-to-day.

The Operations & Executive Support Lead will provide trusted executive support to the CEO and diary management support for directors while also holding the operational backbone of the organisation. This includes managing administrative flow, designing and strengthening systems, and ensuring that work lands reliably and on time.

This is a highly varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys building order, spotting risks early, and creating processes that allow others to do their best work.

You will work closely with the CEO, our Directors, and our finance team to identify and develop operational processes as required. You will work alongside our entire team and be able to contribute to the organisation’s bold aims and ambitions within your role.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

• Provide full diary and schedule management for the CEO, including proactive planning, prioritisation and coordination.

• Support our Director level with diary management and bookings as required.

• Manage CEO inbox triage and correspondence, acting as a trusted first point of contact and gatekeeper.

• Prepare agendas, briefing notes and supporting materials for meetings.

• Coordinate travel, logistics and key engagements.

• Track actions and follow-ups to ensure timely completion across priorities.

Operations & Administration

• Act as a central intake point for operational and administrative requests.

• Prepare invoices and expenses for approval and support payment workflows.

• Coordinate room bookings, event logistics and forward planning.

• Support finance processes in collaboration with the outsourced finance team.

• Manage projects, create and maintain operational project trackers, records and documentation.

• Provide administrative and logistical support to programme delivery as required.

• Support fundraising administration and reporting requirements.

• Provide light communications and coordination support as needed.

Systems & Process Development

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce risk and strengthen consistency.

• Design and implement proportionate, fit-for-purpose processes aligned with organisational needs.

• Create and maintain clear operational processes and documentation.

• Support the selection and introduction of appropriate tools and systems where required.

• Contribute to the development of more structured, predictable ways of working.

About You

• You come from an operations, executive assistant, office management, or organisational support background and are confident working across administration, coordination and operations.

• You are highly organised and reliable, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and moving parts, and anticipate executive needs.

• You have experience providing executive support, including diary management, inbox triage, meeting coordination and preparation of briefing materials.

• You are excited by the opportunity to grow beyond day-to-day execution and take on a more strategic role over time.

• You are comfortable owning operational processes end-to-end and ensuring consistent follow-through.

• You can spot gaps, inefficiencies or recurring issues in ways of working and take initiative to improve them.

Position Summary

The Executive Assistant to the CEO is a highly trusted partner who enables strategic focus, operational effectiveness, and disciplined execution at the executive level. This role requires sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to anticipate needs in a complex, global environment.

The successful candidate is a quick thinker, resourceful problem solver, and mission-driven professional who thrives in fast-moving, international settings. They bring composure under pressure, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing demands with professionalism and precision.

This individual will operate at the center of RAP’s leadership ecosystem, coordinating across senior leadership, board members, external partners, and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the CEO’s complex global calendar across time zones with proactive prioritization and alignment to strategic objectives.
• Anticipate emerging issues and flag risks or dependencies early.
• Ensure follow-through on key commitments, action items, and cross-functional deliverables.
• Act as a gatekeeper and facilitator to protect executive focus while maintaining responsiveness.
• Facilitate information flow between the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
• Coordinate high-level external meetings with policymakers, donors, and partner organizations.
• Draft correspondence and executive communications that reflect RAP’s values and strategic voice.
• Support travel planning, logistics, and preparation for international engagements.
• Maintain structured systems for document management, tracking, and workflow coordination.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve executive support infrastructure.
• Support expense reporting, contract coordination, and light project management as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting C-level executives, ideally within international nonprofit, policy, or mission-driven environments.
• Experience operating in complex, multi-country organizational structures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in other global languages is highly desirable.
• High digital fluency with productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms.

Working Model

This role can be structured as part-time or full-time, depending on candidate experience and organizational need. Flexibility in working hours is essential due to RAP’s global footprint.

The position may be based in Greater London or Berlin, with remote flexibility consistent with RAP’s operating model.

In this dynamic season of accelerated growth and structural evolution, the organisation is seeking a strategic CFO to serve as a key financial architect—engineering optimal financial infrastructure, systems, and processes that provide robust support, ensure efficiency and compliance across borders, and enable sustainable scaling to fulfil the ministry's God-given vision for greater global impact.

You will be someone with a proven track record in a senior financial leadership role in an international organisation, preferably within a ministry or mission context, and with experience overseeing additional areas like IT in entities of comparable complexity and scale. You will be a mission-aligned finance leader with a deep understanding of financial management and financial engineering, enabling you to strategically shape how Global Disciples maximises its global impact. You will have an open and servant-hearted leadership style with a natural ability to build and maintain strong, cross-cultural relationships. You will be passionate about our vision to train up disciple-makers to take the Gospel to the least-reached around the world.

We envisage the Chief Financial Officer being based in either one of our hubs in Europe, Africa or Asia.
