As Educational Partnerships Manager you will be a key contributor to the South Central & East of England regional educational partnerships team, supporting the team to achieve shared KPIs for the region and the wider organisation. The role of Educational Partnerships Manager involves working directly with young people and teachers in schools that are delivering / supporting the delivery of our Young Enterprise programmes.

The Educational Partnerships Manager role will suit someone who can work with young people, build rapport and engage young people from a range of backgrounds. You will need to be confident in working within education settings and liaising with school staff, volunteers, and corporate volunteers. This can be a varied role, but a very exciting role as well as very rewarding. Your experience in relationship development and management will help with developing new schools as well as supporting existing school relationships. There is not an exhaustive list but is to provide you with a flavour of the role.

· Be responsible for the support, supervision, management and development of the Carer Support Team, Health Team, Volunteer Development & Carers Time Team Managers and the Walk & Talk lead.

· Be the Adult Safeguarding lead, working in conjunction with the Children’s Safeguarding lead and deputies.

· Lead on the staff wellbeing programme and areas of work.

Working for a small , resident led , community organisation your role will be to develop and deliver a range of projects and activities for local residents . You will have experience of similar work in a community setting and be responsible for managing an existing portfolio of projects and staff . You will work to develop partnerships with a range of local organisations , both statutory and voluntary , with a view to deleloping new projects and representing resident's interests . You will also undertake some fundraising and deputise for the Chief Executive as required.

The successful candidate will work 35 hours a week over 5 days, including evening and weekend work as required by the company. This role will cover South England and South Wales.

As a Community Development Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of Community Builders, fostering collaboration, innovation and commitment to community impact working in an ABCD informed way. This is an exciting and varied role for dynamic and confident individuals, in which the right candidate will work directly within communities across the UK; bringing the Armed Forces Community together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. About You

You will be responsible for the effective line management of a dispersed community-based team and have experience managing co-designed/co-delivered community development initiatives. You will have a genuine professional commitment to ABCD informed delivery, possess the capacity to work collaboratively with others and pilot projects for new community development initiatives by identifying and creating viable plans for growth and expansion to increase reach, impact and accessibility across the AFC.  

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate locality-based Community Development related services 

• Provide line management for a regionally specific team of Community Builders, positively participating in line management meetings, annual appraisals, monthly and quarterly team meetings as required facilitating 1:1 and group line management supervision including volunteers 

• Act as safeguarding and health and safety lead for your regional team ensuring safe practice 

• Set clear objectives and performance expectations for Community Development colleagues/volunteers and programme activity

PLEASE NOTE: There is a requirement for frequent travel extensively within the regions allocated for this role. There will be evening and weekend working as required and flexibility in working hours is necessary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a 2-week period so please take this into consideration before applying. 

We are looking for someone with the following: 

• Educated to degree level in a relevant field (Social Science, Community Development, Health and Social Care), related field, or hold an equivalent professional Community Development qualification. 

• Demonstrable experience of senior management/leadership of a Community Development team or integrated multi-disciplinary service informed by Community Development principles 

• Proficiency in managing projects from conception to completion  

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively

You will work as part of the Community Development team; this newly formed team will approach working in defined localities using an asset based community development approach. THE ROLE

This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 15 staff based throughout the UK. There is a small team of three based in the South. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across the region, working to develop the region as a whole. The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region. You will play a crucial role setting up our Autumn 121 mentoring programmes, liaising with schools, recruiting mentors and ensuring that we have the right mentors for the mentees on programme. Our three year strategy is working well with improvements and expansions to our delivery model, a renewed vision and mission and we want to continue to develop and grow. To support this, we are recruiting for a new programme manager to grow our programmes and contracts in Kent. Our Kent area covers prisons including HMP East Sutton Park, HMP Rochester, HMP Standford Hill with two days per weeks as a Prison Facilitator at HMP Elmley. We are seeking proactive, committed, and enthusiastic applicants to join our team and help us continue our journey.

Working closely with people in prison, prison managers, Shannon Trust staff and volunteers you will ensure development of our criminal programmes maximising literacy and numeracy learning opportunities for people across a number of prisons and contracts in your area. Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings, managing teams and contract performance, underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. As a Delivery Manager, you must lead the effective delivery by your team, ensuring that every young person engaged progresses with an appropriate pathway of learning and development and one to one support. You will be a role model for your team, demonstrating best practice in how we work with young people in a safe way to ensure we deliver maximum value for young people and partners.

A background in employment-based programmes would be good, Knowledge of the Healthcare sector would be lovely, the ability to build great relationships and if you can inspire colleagues would be fantastic.

Global Partnerships Advisor

Home based – working remotely within mainland Europe with regular travel to Geneva

Starting salary for this position is €54,592 per annum

Growth, coupled with changing donor attitudes, means that MAG is working in an ever-increasing range of local, national and international partnerships. Organisational ambition means that growth in this area is likely to continue as we seek to develop operational and strategic ventures to extend our impact and influence. 

In response, MAG is looking for an exceptional Global Partnerships Advisor to strengthen its in house capacity to develop, monitor and manage its partnership portfolio in order to maximise the reach and impact of our work.  This role will work closely with programme teams and the wider Policy and Strategic Partnerships (PSP) team, liaising with key partners in the mine action and disarmament sectors, with a particular focus on Geneva-based organisations.  The successful candidate will build new and effective partnerships that can strengthen MAG’s activities, and lead the development of a global partnerships strategy to frame how and when MAG works with other actors to increase our impact and extend our influence.

The GPA will also work closely with programme teams to support staff working with partners at programme level, improving organizational capacity to develop and manage partnerships within a given country or regional context. This will be supported by the review and development of systems, tools, policies and processes that strengthen MAG’s ability to assess, manage and monitor national, regional and international partnerships in line with MAG’s 2024-28 Organisational Strategy. Communicating across the organization, they will also ensure information flows effectively to assist lesson learning, enhance best practice and improve efficiency of delivery.

The successful candidate will have excellent capacity development, project management, and strategic planning skills and the ability to coordinate multiple activities at the same time. Previous experience of donor engagement and representation, as well managing humanitarian and/or development activity which has been implemented via local or international partnerships is essential and experience of working in humanitarian mine action would be highly advantageous.  Fluency in written and verbal communication in a relevant second language (French, Arabic, Spanish) is also required.  This is a fast-paced and challenging role, which will require high levels of initiative, pro-activeness and strong multi-tasking skills. With an ability to influence, motivate and develop colleagues and key stakeholder and ensuring effective communication, you will be organised, flexible and solution-focused. 

Role location

The role will be based from home in mainland Europe with regular travel to Geneva as well as international travel to our office in Manchester and country programmes in South and Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean, possibly at short notice.
