Role purpose:
To develop and deliver an Earthwatch individual giving programme. The role will focus on identifying opportunities to engage supporters, implementing activities to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, and increasing financial contributions from new and existing supporters. The role will also assist in the delivery of major donor cultivation events alongside senior staff.
Key deliverables:
Strategy & Income Growth
• Develop and implement a multi-year individual giving strategy, including regular giving, one-off donations and legacy giving
• Set and monitor income and engagement targets, using data insights to refine and improve approaches.
Campaigns & Appeals
• To project manage multiple appeals delivering accurate campaigns across digital, print, and telephone on time, to inspire and convert supporters, on budget to a high standard and meeting agreed targets.
• To manage the relationship with external fundraising agencies, ensuring they are briefed and provided with the information they need.
• Collaborate with the communications team to ensure campaigns align with brand and messaging guidelines.
• Undertaking all activities in line with best practice standards and processes as set out by the Institute of Fundraising, Fundraising Regulator and any other bodies as prompted by the Director.
Donor Engagement & Stewardship
• Deliver high-quality donor communications, including impact reports, appeals, and tailored updates.
• Support donor journeys that build loyalty and increase lifetime value through a range of fundraising products
• Attend events as required to meet donors.
Data Management & Reporting
• Ensure all materials produced are accurate and compliant with relevant data protection and gift aid legislation (where applicable).
• Use the database to track donor engagement and manage contact strategies.
• Produce reports and analysis on giving trends, campaign performance, and donor behaviour to inform decision-making.
Collaboration & Support
• Work closely with colleagues across Income Generation, Communications, Programmes, and senior leadership to maximise donor opportunities and engagement.

The Project Manager plays a vital role in delivering exceptional Project Management for the major new Salesforce implementation of Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud. This project will improve our Supporter experiences particularly in terms of email journeys. This strategic project is key to implementing the 10-year organisational strategy, ARUK: Towards a Cure. Key Responsibilities:
Project Management – Salesforce Marketing Cloud
· Develop a flexible project plan for the Marketing Cloud project that is adaptable to unexpected changes; manage these changes effectively through appropriate stakeholder management and risk planning.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with project team members, internal stakeholders, and third parties, to foster collaboration and drive the successful delivery of the salesforce marketing cloud project. Manage the relationship with the external implementation partner.
· Drive and monitor project progress against timelines using appropriate project management tools (e.g. Excel, Smartsheet, MS Projects or similar), and ensure stakeholders are updated at key checkpoints; ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and understood from the start.

Summary
This is a new role leading the strategic use of marketing and communications to advance Challenge Works’ social impact mission and commercial objectives.
You will serve as the organisation’s senior lead on marketing and communications, acting as a trusted partner to leaders across the business, and reporting into a member of our Senior Leadership Team.
There are two key strands to the role.
Success in this role requires the ability to think strategically while moving swiftly to action. We are a small team and everyone needs to dive in and be hands-on.
We are entirely funded through our work on prizes, so our communications and marketing activity needs to show business results as well as supporting our impact goals. Our target audiences are a niche group: innovation teams within governments, research and innovation funders, philanthropic foundations, and other innovation partners and experts, both in the UK and worldwide. Success means building our brand in the long term to generate awareness and trust with those target communities while also delivering opportunity-led communications that drive conversion for specific propositions. With limited resource, all our channels need to work together effectively to maximise impact.
You will draw on strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively across Challenge Works, Nesta and external partners, while bringing the authority and insight needed to influence senior leaders and ensure our communications consistently reflect our ambition and expertise.

The person
As with all staff employed in a communications role at Nesta, the postholder will also be at their best working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, have a flexible approach and an appetite for taking on new tasks and challenges.

About the role
As Senior Public Fundraising Manager, you will oversee and develop a diverse portfolio of Individual Giving and Community Fundraising programmes, maximising income and supporter engagement.
As a key part of the Supporter Engagement team this post will support the team to drive sustainable growth across Individual Giving, Community, Legacies and Supported Family Fundraising. The post will work in a strategic way, using insight to maximise potential income and develop both new and existing donors, community relationships and partnerships across the SSCH catchment through targeted donor and product development campaigns, supporter acquisition and retention programs, underpinned by robust supporter journeys.
The post holder will work flexibly across the Supporter Engagement income streams, supporting the team to drive growth, donor numbers and community visibility. They will also be accountable for their own income stream. This role combines a targeted driven approach with excellent donor care and relationship management.

About you
You’ll be an experienced fundraiser and people‑manager with a strong record of generating income and delivering against ambitious financial targets. Alongside this, you’ll bring proven experience in leading, motivating and developing high‑performing teams.
With excellent organisational, planning and project‑management skills, you’ll confidently build effective relationships and provide exceptional supporter stewardship. Comfortable working with databases and digital tools, you’ll be curious about innovation and open to exploring new approaches to strengthen and grow our fundraising offer. You’ll also have a solid understanding of sector best practice, including GDPR, Gift Aid and fundraising regulations.
Your experience in Community, Individual Giving or Legacy fundraising will enable you to contribute real insight across our supporter engagement portfolio. Creative, proactive and solutions‑focused, you’ll thrive in a fast‑paced environment and work flexibly across priorities to deliver meaningful results.

CONTEXT & PURPOSE OF ROLE
SportsAid is currently implementing Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud as our new organisation-wide CRM platform to strengthen engagement with athletes and their parents/care-givers, supporters and funders, partners, alumni, volunteers and other key stakeholders. The Head of CRM will provide strategic and operational leadership for the charity’s CRM function.
Initially the focus of the role will be to realise the value of the implementation, including adoption, embedding ways of working and processes across teams, improving data quality, refining reporting, ensuring good system governance and optimising organisation-wide usage.
Longer term, the role will develop and lead a CRM roadmap, identifying priorities and enhancements for future development and planning the strategic evolution of our new CRM ecosystem and long-term sustainability of our Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud platform.
You will lead organisational change, embed best practice CRM processes, ensure high-quality data governance and maximise the value of CRM insights to support fundraising, programme delivery, marketing, partnerships and impact reporting.
