Job description

Welcome to the University of London, a truly exceptional and inspiring institution.

Location: London / Hybrid (option to work remotely for up to 60% of the work week)

Who we are

The University of London is a leading UK provider of distance and digital education internationally, offering programmes to 45,000 students in 190 countries around the world. Although proudly rooted in London, our community and impact are global. We are a national leader in the humanities, and we promote their value to society and the economy through knowledge creation and exchange.

We are also a federation of 17 world class higher education institutions, with collaboration at the heart of our ethos. The University of London federation is a collective community of more than 240,000 learners and 50,000 staff, delivering world-leading research across all disciplines.

Our passion for increasing access to education and mobilising the collective power and expertise of the federation is central to our ability to transform lives around the world and address the global challenges of the future.

About the role

We now seek an exceptional Philanthropy Systems and Data Manager to play a vital role in delivering our transformational fundraising efforts, most notably, our bold and exciting Library Transformation Project. This is more than a back-office data role. It’s a chance to lead from the front, to make sure the systems, processes and data that underpin our success are not only operationally sound but exemplary. You’ll be a key part of our Philanthropy Operations team, ensuring donations are accurately processed, data is pristine, and insight flows freely across our organisation. Crucially, your work will empower colleagues, engage donors and underpin strategic decisions across our university-wide campaigns.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who thrives on complexity, brings real rigour to their work, and understands the power of great data to drive change. You'll take ownership of our CRM (Blackbaud’s Senator), lead data integrity initiatives, manage high-value donation processes, and partner with senior stakeholders across the institution to ensure everything we do meets the highest standards of compliance, efficiency and impact.

If you're driven by making systems work better, collaborating across departments, and seeing the direct results of your efforts on campaigns that matter, this could be your ideal next step. Join a team that’s passionate, values-driven and ambitious, at a university that’s rich in history and bold in its future. Apply now and help us build something lasting.

Further information

The University will be unable to sponsor candidates for a visa for this role. Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK for the duration of their employment.

The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working remotely and in the office. Typically, the majority of employees will be able to agree to work remotely for up to 60% of their working week, role dependent, however will be required to attend on specific days for training or team meetings.
