We’re looking for a proactive and professional Events and Administration Officer to play a central role in the delivery of our events programme and in keeping our busy office running smoothly. What you’ll be doing

As our Events and Admin Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Events: Helping to plan and deliver a wide range of events – from breakfast briefings and online panel discussions to gala dinners – ensuring every detail runs smoothly. This will include liaising with suppliers, venues, speakers, and sponsors; coordinating catering and logistics; supporting event promotion; and overseeing attendee communications and requirements.
• CRM & Data: Acting as a Hubspot ‘super-user’, ensuring our CRM is effectively maintained to manage stakeholders, track engagement, and support compliance.
• Meetings: Coordinating internal and external meetings, including diary management for the senior team and producing accurate records.
• Enquiries: Serving as the first point of contact for shared inboxes, responding and redirecting queries efficiently.
• Office & Admin: Supporting office operations, liaising with landlords and suppliers, assisting with finance queries, and ensuring our day-to-day administration runs seamlessly.
• Projects: Assisting with proposition development and project delivery, keeping accurate records and chasing actions.
• General: Providing all-round support to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking someone who is:

• Educated to at least A-Level (or equivalent) with an administrative or operational focus.
• Professional, approachable, and confident in communicating with people at all levels.
• Experienced in event management and administration.
• Skilled in budget tracking, on-the-day event management, and post-event reporting.
• Organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced with CRM and e-marketing platforms (ideally Hubspot).
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Aligned with our collaborative culture and values.

It would be great if you also bring:

• Familiarity with platforms like Zoom, Eventbrite, and Ticket Tailor.
• Experience using professional social media (particularly LinkedIn) for events and communications.

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in an ambitious and values-driven climate finance initiative. The Resilient Futures Fund, a new subsidiary of Christian Aid, is pioneering a bold approach to climate philanthropy, one that blends donor giving with impact investment to unlock long-term, scalable solutions for vulnerable communities.

As Senior New Business Development Officer, you will lead the development and implementation of The Resilient Futures Fund's philanthropic fundraising strategy, working closely with the Head of Fund and colleagues across Christian Aid. Your focus will be on identifying, cultivating, and stewarding a portfolio of high-value donors, ranging from individuals to philanthropic foundations and corporate partners, who are motivated not only by charitable impact, but by the opportunity to contribute to systemic, sustainable change.

This role requires a strong strategic mindset and a deep understanding of the evolving philanthropic landscape, particularly the intersection of traditional giving with social investment, climate finance, and venture philanthropy. You'll also work to embed The Resilient Futures Fund into wider Christian Aid fundraising activity, building strong internal relationships and ensuring coherence across donor messaging, reporting, and engagement. You are an experienced and strategic fundraiser with a passion for innovation and impact. You have a proven track record of securing significant philanthropic income, particularly from major donors, trusts, and foundations, and you understand how to translate complex programme goals into compelling cases for support that resonate with diverse funders.

You are intellectually curious and comfortable working at the intersection of philanthropy and social investment. You understand the motivations of donors who are looking for more than transactional giving, those seeking scalable, systemic, and lasting change. Whether it's a six-figure major gift or a multi-year partnership, you know how to craft tailored stewardship journeys that inspire trust and long-term commitment.

You bring strong project management skills and can balance big-picture strategy with day-to-day delivery. You are data-informed, impact-driven, and understand how to use evidence and insight to adapt and improve fundraising performance.

Salary: £41,208 per annum + £750 per annum Homeworking Allowance + £1,500 per annum Out of Hours Allowance

Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:

• An appropriate social work qualification

The grants will often be in the five to six figure range, and will be for a wide variety of activities, including bursaries, the Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, local and national learning and participation projects, and more. The Policy and External Affairs Manager is a key role in the Marketing and Communications team and reports into the Head of Marketing and Communications. This team manages marketing, fundraising communications, external affairs, policy development, public affairs and internal communications. CHAS Marketing and communications team sits within the Income Generation and Engagement directorate led by the director of Income Generation and Engagement. 

This pivotal role will support CHAS to strengthen our national presence, growing trust and credibility, and positioning CHAS as a thought leader in children's palliative care. Working across the charity this role is responsible for managing policy, public affairs, external affairs and managing communications with internal and external stakeholders including support for crisis management.

The Organisation

The Role

As the Head of Security, you will define and lead our security operations, ensuring our environments are safe, secure, and welcoming for all. This is a pivotal role that blends strategic oversight with operational assurance, working across teams to embed best practice and resilience.
