Summary
A key member of the Strategy and Planning team, the Programme Manager (Impact Measurement) role will be responsible for embedding and managing Diabetes UK's impact measurement and reporting activities. This is a role that will work collaboratively and influence teams across Diabetes UK and will champion impact measurement. This role will contribute to continuous improvement in how Diabetes UK delivers its strategy to achieve outcomes for people living with and at risk of diabetes.

Main Responsibilities
You will work with colleagues at all levels to champion the use of learning gathered on impact across the charity and to enable the wide sharing of this learning.
As a Programme Manager (Impact Measurement) you will be able to work strategically and operationally to embed and introduce tools and methods for collecting, managing, analysing and reporting impact data.
You will also confidently be able to create written and verbal impact-focused reports demonstrating the impact of our strategic delivery both for senior leaders and for colleagues.
Ideal Candidate
As Programme Manager (Impact Measurement) you will manage a key organisational change programme to embed our impact measurement framework to supports the delivery of our strategy. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of our charity's strategic ambition and the opportunities to measure and evaluate the delivery of our work so that we continue to learn and improve as a charity, using this information to demonstrate our impact internally and externally, showing the difference our work is making to the lives of people with or at risk of diabetes You are highly IT literate and experienced at using reporting and evaluation tools and frameworks.
Key Details
Salary: £84,000 per annum with generous benefits including 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays, enhanced pension contribution, private medical health insurance, life assurance and flexible/hybrid working.
Hours: 35 per week over 5 days.
Contract type: This is a full time, permanent role.
Location: Hybrid working with options for flexibility to work from home - the postholder will be expected to work from our central London office regularly, 2-3 days per week.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Legal Director will lead Good Law Project’s legal work and support the wider leadership of Good Law Project as a member of its senior management team (SMT).
What we’re looking for
- Qualified solicitor or barrister – presently practising or not practising – of a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience in England and Wales.
- Extensive civil litigation experience with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Interest in social change and how the law can be used to deliver it.
- Demonstrable experience of critical thinking, including about what the law is, does and could be used to do.

Role summary
The Project Development Officer (PDO) will work within the Inter Mediate Projects Team under the guidance of the Projects Directors and coordination with the Deputy CEO, Operations Team and CEO, to:
- Support and implement Inter Mediate’s existing projects portfolio supporting peace talks and other high-level peace initiatives.
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders in conflict and peace processes, mainly in Africa and the Middle East
- Identify and develop entry points for new projects.
- Monitor and analyse political developments across areas relevant to Inter Mediate’s work.
- Research lessons from past peace efforts relevant to Inter Mediate’s current work.
- Support the Operations Team and Project Directors to prepare project proposals and budgets, narrative and financial reporting, and collect evidence of project impact.
Specific responsibilities:
- Contribute to strategies to deliver Inter Mediate projects and institutional priorities.
- Support the Project Directors to cultivate and maintain relationships with key interlocutors and relevant experts in the field.
- Undertake travel, including to conflict settings.
- Draft high quality policy memos, speeches and concept notes for senior audiences.
- Provide logistical support for project delivery, including managing travel of project teams, interlocutors and consultants.
- Monitor media, think tanks and other analysis centres on conflict dynamics, and produce briefings and analytic papers for the CEO ahead of travel or engagement with key interlocutors.
- Oversee production of research papers on peacemaking lessons, based on demand from interlocutors.
- Scope for potential new projects and develop new project feasibility studies.
- Support the Project Directors and Operations Team in donor management and project accountability, including contributing to preparation of project proposals and budgets, and reporting in line with donor requirements.
- Compile project progress reports for senior management/trustees’ meetings.
- Represent IM in external contexts where necessary.
- Undertake other tasks in support of IM’s work overall as required.
Experience, qualifications and skills:
Successful candidates would need to demonstrate:
- A masters degree in politics, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, international affairs, public policy or an equivalent subject. Relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu.
- Three years of work experience in conflict resolution or peace process support for a governmental, non-governmental or inter-governmental organisation, or an equivalent field such as diplomacy, humanitarian access, political risk advisory services, conflict journalism or conflict analysis. Experience relevant to West Africa and Middle East preferred.
- Excellent written English, and evidence of ability to produce high-quality written work to deadline.
- A strong understanding of political and conflict dynamics – particularly Africa and the Middle East - and the ability to produce well-structured and concise analysis
- Ability to operate successfully in high pressure, sensitive political environments and support high-level individuals
- Experience of work and travel in conflict-affected areas, and willingness to travel independently, with support from the Project Directors.
- Evidence of strong cross-cultural interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support the smooth running of a small team, and willingness to take an “all hands on deck” approach when required.
- Fluency in French (required), Arabic (preferred) or other languages

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will manage the strategic development of Individual Giving, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The post-holder will oversee the delivery of our Regular Giving programmes and will also manage relationships with high-level donors to identify and securing major gifts.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:
- Drive acquisition, retention and growth of Individual Giving at all levels with a particular view to growing unrestricted income from this stream.
- Develop and deliver inspiring Regular Giving appeals, understanding the key motivations of our supporters and in line with the strategic objectives of the organisation.
- Lead on the delivery of all aspects of the Patron programme, in particular stewardship of Patrons and supporting the Head of Development in a strategic review of the programme.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to grow visitor giving, taking a multi-channel and innovative approach.
- Proactively manage a personal portfolio of prospects and donors to secure mid- and major-level gifts from Individuals, ensuring that tailored moves management strategies are employed to meaningfully move relationships towards solicitation.
The Development Manager (Trust and Foundations) will manage the strategic development of Trusts and Foundations fundraising, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The post-holder will oversee income generation from grant-making organisations and ensure timely reporting to funders.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:
- Drive growth of Trusts and Foundations income especially at the five- and six-figure level, with a particular view to supporting unrestricted income and major projects in the organisation’s pipeline.
- Proactively manage a personal portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, regularly meeting and engaging with prospective funders to pitch proposals and check-in around expectations.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compelling funding applications in line with deadlines set by funders.
- Build lasting relationships with funders in order to establish opportunities for multi-year income generation.
- Drive the Trusts and Foundations prospecting process and increase the range of prospects approached for support, utilising prospect research tools and securing introductions from our network.

The successful candidate will work with the Head of the Gambling Action Lab (GAL) and the Senior Research Officer to bring together a handful of representatives from financial services firms to explore ways to reduce gambling-related financial harms. They will build and maintain stakeholder relationships and play a key role in facilitating group discussions with financial services representatives. This exciting role will also involve driving and promoting the work and visibility of the GAL, and planning and delivering a programme of events to promote our work.

The full-time equivalent salary is either £41,283 at the Senior Officer level or £32,915 at the Officer level.
This role can be offered as London-based or remote (with twice-monthly travel to the London office) and either full-time (37.5 hours over 5 days) or part-time (minimum 30 hours over 4 days a week).

Duties Include:
Fundraising and project development:
· Lead the implementation of Bexley Mencap’s Fundraising Strategy; reviewing existing fundraising strategies, identifying opportunities for development and introducing innovative strategies to achieve fundraising goals.
· Research and pursue new funding opportunities; including grants, legacies and social enterprise/earned income opportunities.
· Develop compelling cases for support, tailoring funding bids and applications accordingly
· Develop and maintain funding pipelines, providing reports to the Trustee Board
· Support and line manage part-time member of the team (may be required to support more staff if the role grows/adapts)
· Support the Chief Executive in extending and strengthening relationships with existing partners and developing new relationships
· Ensure all fundraising initiatives adhere to best practices, ethical guidelines and legislation
· Identify and evaluate opportunities for new projects and initiatives aligned with the mission and objectives of the organisation.
· Lead the development of project proposals, including conducting needs assessments, defining project scopes, and establishing timelines and budgets.
· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project implementation and delivery.

Who we are:
The Dalit Solidarity Network UK is a small human rights organisation working to eliminate caste-based discrimination in the UK and South Asia. Registering as an official charity in 2003, Dalit Solidarity Network UK continues to grow as an effective campaigning and advocacy organisation, working on the issue of caste discrimination in the UK and being an active player in the global movement. Our major areas of work include documenting 'everyday casteism', building capacity of businesses to address caste-discrimination in overseas supply chains and UK operations and working with UK Higher Education Institutions to protect against caste-discrimination.
Summary of the role:
We are seeking a new Director who will be responsible for working with the Board to:
i) Develop and deliver of DSN-UK's overall strategy and objectives;
ii) Provide strategic leadership to influence the policy and practice of key stakeholders to further DSN’s vision of a ‘world without caste discrimination’;
iii) Lead overall management of DSN-UK, including management of DSN-UK staff, its finances and other resources.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Leadership and strategy
Responsible for implementing DSN-UK’s strategy through specific campaign, lobbying and advocacy activities, including development of key messages and influencing strategies.
Maintaining partnerships and network support within the UK, with partners in South Asia and international partners.
Conducting joint advocacy at UK/EU/UN level, representing these issues at UK Government level and participating in other joint initiatives as appropriate.
Operational Management
Responsible for the day-to-day management of DSN-UK, including key aspects of its internal administration, particularly providing oversight of financial management, annual budgets and the preparation of regular financial and programme reports for the Board.
Fundraising:
Leading the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy for DSN-UK, preparing funding proposals and reporting to donors on project achievements.
Human Resources:
Managing one part time office administrator and appointing other staff, volunteers and consultants in consultation with the Chair.

What we are looking for in a Director:
1. A track record of successfully working at a senior level with strategic leadership and management responsibilities.
2. Ability to develop organisational strategies and translate them into plans and budgets.
3. Experience of working on issues of social justice/human rights/equality, diversity and inclusion and of campaigning for change.
4. Experience of representing an organisation to others, ranging from grass roots activists to government officials including high-level lobbying and advocacy and public speaking.
5. Experience of developing and managing budgets.
6. Proven track record and experience of fundraising from trusts, governments and corporate sources.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to plan and prioritise and keep to targets under pressure and to deadlines.
9. Willingness to travel within the UK and to work outside usual office hours if necessary.
10. Commitment to the aims of DSN-UK and sensitivity to issues of caste, gender, race and religion and commitment to ensuring equal opportunities.
