About the role

STOPAIDS mobilises civil society, parliamentarians, the public and the media to influence decision-makers in the UK and globally on the advocacy impact areas outlined in our 2022-2025 strategy.

In partnership with senior leadership, the Media and Communications Manager will oversee the design and implementation of STOPAIDS' organisational-wide media and communications strategy that amplifies STOPAIDS’ impact and reputation across our key advocacy areas. This work includes providing media and communications guidance, coordination and delivery support to our joint advocacy projects with partners.

Our joint advocacy projects are subject to change, but currently include the Digital Health and Rights Project, the UK Civil Society working group on the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, the UK Civil Society working group for Unitaid and a new coalition to advocate on the future of the global health architecture.

The Media and Communications Manager will support STOPAIDS and our joint advocacy projects to achieve our advocacy objectives through identifying strategic media opportunities, managing relationships with media outlets, and securing external media coverage. They will also work with staff and partners to develop relevant high-quality media products and to develop and manage online communications content for our key social media and website platforms.

As a capable team leader, the Media and Communications Manager provides expert guidance to staff and partners, is comfortable coordinating and facilitating working groups and supports the leadership of people living with and affected by HIV. They also work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that media and communications strategies are aligned and complementary with other organisational strategies and priorities.

As with all STOPAIDS staff, and in partnership with the CEO and the Director for Development & Engagement, they will work to ensure the sustainability of the organisation by contributing 10% of their time to fundraising (to support with application and report writing) and other advocacy support.

The role has a six-month probation period.

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a charity and membership society that has been dedicated to improving tropical medicine and global health since 1907. Our ambition is to save lives and improve health around the world through increased access to greater equity in global health care. Through our activities we help further our members’ careers. We also bring together their collective knowledge and use our own expertise to achieve change within the sector.

We are looking for a motivated and pro-active individual to join us as Executive Assistant to the CEO and Senior Manager, Team and Operations. The role will support the Society’s activities by providing direct assistance to the Leadership team, managing communications with our growing network of key volunteers and working with the CEO on fundraising strategies.

The role will require someone who has excellent organisation, time management and administrative experience, and some experience working in the charitable sector (knowledge of fundraising an advantage). The successful candidate will work on their own initiative and multi-task across a number of different projects at any one time. The role will involve some analysis and data management, and may involve working to tight deadlines, as well as coordinating work across internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties of the role will include:

• Administration of Committee and Board meetings, AGMs and other Governance-related activities
• Conducting fundraising research, working with the CEO on fundraising strategies
• Desk research on relevant projects for the society
• Organisation of volunteers, including communication planning, data management and updating records
• Supporting the team on the centralisation and recording of key project deliverable dates
• Providing strategic and administrative support for the Society’s planning tools
• Data analysis and presentation – e.g., from surveys, internal datasets or research
• Some calendar management – e.g., ensuring prep or post-meeting follow up time is scheduled in for leadership team, and reminding them of important tasks and deadlines
• Provide authorisation channel for CEO approvals, including costs, contracts, expenses, etc.
• Supporting the Senior Manager, Team & Operations and the CEO with partnership management and deliverables
• General support as requested from CEO or Senior Manager, Team & Operations
• Any other reasonable tasks as deemed appropriate by CEO or Senior Manager, Team & Operations

Essential Skills:

• Ability to manage a diverse set of priorities and meet deadlines to a consistently high standard
• Capacity to set up and maintain administrative processes and office systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Good analytical skills with the ability to identify key points from complex material or information
• Discretion and professionalism at all times, but particularly when dealing with confidential or sensitive information
• Experience of being responsible for initiating, planning, and developing own areas of work
• High computer literacy and confidence with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
• Exceptional use of written and spoken English
• Experience as a Personal Assistant, or relevant managerial role, in an office environment
• Flexibility and willingness to work under own initiative

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of charitable sector and/or global health
• Experience as an Executive Assistant for a busy individual or team

• Analysis and organisation of multiple datasets

The Centre for Ageing Better is looking for a talented Deputy Director to lead on work, retirement and transitions. Overseeing a programme of research, policy development, influencing activity and a growing employer network you will be leading our work to ensure equitable access to decent work for those aged 50+.

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the UK labour market policy and the implications and opportunities for those aged 50+. You will be skilled at developing strategy and leading a multi-disciplinary team to translate it into an impactful programme of work. You will be comfortable working externally to build relationships and make the case for change to policy makers, potential funders and in the media, and you will bring research expertise and experience of developing and delivering research projects using a variety of methods.

The Role

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Deputy Director to lead our quality assurance work and play a central role in shaping and delivering cross-sector projects. You will oversee the management and strategic development of the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and collaborate closely with the Director on broader organisational and policy initiatives.

You’ll represent ASA at external stakeholder meetings, manage contracts and project teams, and act as a senior leader within a small and dynamic team that is passionate about access to justice and social welfare.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the delivery of the Advice Quality Standard, ensuring its integrity and independence as a sector-wide benchmark.

• Manage and deliver strategic projects aligned with ASA’s business plan and broader goals.

• Represent ASA at external meetings, consultations, and strategic discussions with stakeholders.

• Line manage project staff and consultants, and oversee contract relationships with AQS licence holders.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and funders, including government and regulatory bodies.

Woman’s Trust was established almost thirty years ago and is the leading specialist in mental health services for women. Led by and for women, it aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a safe and healthy life, free from further harm. About the role

As our Temporary Finance Manager, you will be managing a finance assistant and will be part of our organisation’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to collaboratively shape and steer the charity as we work towards our 2022-2027 strategy. The Finance Manager is at the heart of Woman’s Trust; you will play an essential role and have oversight of not just the finance team - you will have direct exposure to CEO/Board Members and decision-making for the future of the organisation. 

We are looking for a highly motived Temporary Finance Manager with demonstrable experience working in a similar senior level role. You’ll be a fully or part qualified accountant e.g. CIMA/ACA/ACCA/Cipfa, with a thorough understanding of charity accounting.

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed term to start ASAP until 18th December 2025.
