About The Role 

We’re looking for a dynamic and relationship-driven Senior Fundraising / Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on, develop, grow and relationship manage our portfolio of corporate partners through business development, and relationship management. You will also support the Senior Management Team with their existing corporate partners, and their relationships. This is a key role in strengthening our income generation, expanding our reach, and creating partnerships that support financial wellbeing across the UK.

You’ll lead on securing new partnerships and managing existing ones - from banks and building societies to insurers, fintechs and professional services. You’ll develop creative propositions, deliver exceptional account management, and drive income that supports our mission.

The role

As Senior Operations Manager you will take overall responsibility for the leadership and performance of the Centre, working closely with the Board of Trustees to shape its future direction.

• Lead and develop a team of 30-35 staff, including the Senior Leadership Team

POST OUTLINE

A rare opportunity to create and lead Individual Giving and Legacies at a pivotal point of growth within an ambitious fundraising team.  This role will define the strategy and create and deliver on establishing income streams that will be central to future success.  It requires an experienced fundraiser who thrives on building; someone who can turn ideas into action and work at pace. 

Combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to develop programmes that deliver real impact and long-term value.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will lead the creation and delivery of Individual Giving and Legacies programmes, establishing two core income streams that will drive sustainable growth.  It will define strategy, build insight-led, multi-channel programmes and design supporter journeys that deepen engagement over time, from first gift to long term support and legacy giving. 

Working across the organisation the postholder will embed a strong supporter focus, ensuring that fundraising is integrated into wider engagement activity.  You will take ownership of income performance, budgets and continuous improvement through data, testing and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Individual Giving and Legacies strategy, covering acquisition, retention, regular giving and legacy development.
• Design and deliver integrated multi-channel campaigns to grow income and lifetime value.
• Build and optimize end-to-end supporter journeys, including pathways to legacy giving.
• Grow and develop legacy income including awareness, pipeline development and stewardship approaches.
• Use data, segmentation and insight to drive decision making, improve performance and increase retention.
• Set, manage and reforecast budgets ensuring delivery against income targets.
• Lead a test and learn approach, embedding continuous improvement across individual giving and legacy activity.
• Work collaboratively with marketing, services and wider teams to align messaging, case for support and supporter experience.
• Manage external agencies and suppliers to deliver high quality campaigns and strong return on investment.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulation, Gift Aid and data protection requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Criteria:

• Significant experience in Individual Giving and/or Legacy fundraising with exposure to both areas.
• Proven track record of delivering income growth through campaigns or programme development.
• Experience developing and delivering multi-channel fundraising activity.
• Strong understanding of supporter journeys, retention and lifetime value including pathways to legacy giving.
• Experience using data, segmentation and insight to drive performance.
• Experience managing budgets, targets and forecasting.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver at pace.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulation, compliance and data protection.

This role will support the Database Manager in overseeing and enhancing Sarcoma UK’s Raiser’s Edge NXT database to ensure it supports strategic fundraising, data-driven decision-making, and organisational growth. This senior role balances day-to-day database operations with a focus on innovation, integration of new technologies, and the delivery of advanced reporting and insights that align with Sarcoma UK’s strategic objectives. The Senior Database Officer also plays a key role in staff upskilling and future-proofing the charity’s data systems.

Duties and key responsibilities

Database Administration (Raiser’s Edge NXT)

• Manage, maintain and optimise constituent and gift data on Raiser’s Edge NXT to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support the Database Officer with processing incoming donations from online giving platforms including JustGiving and Fundraise Up to ensure accurate integration and reconciliation.
• Support the Database Officer with monthly reconciliations between Raiser’s Edge NXT and the income spreadsheet.
• Work with the Database Manager to develop and manage Omatic Cloud automated processes for importing constituent and gift data from external fundraising platforms.
• Support the Database Manager in designing and monitoring database KPIs.
• Lead data cleansing and housekeeping projects including data retention, consent and Gift Aid reviews identifying areas for improvement and implementation of best practice in collaboration with the Database Manager and Database Officer.
• Support fundraising stewardship through event management, automated workflows and mailing list coordination.
• Process and record Gift Aid declarations in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of data quality, GDPR compliance and robust data controls.
• Administer user access and database security settings in line with internal policies and GDPR.

Data Reporting and Insights

• Build sophisticated donor segmentation, pipelines and automated journeys to improve donor retention and engagement.
• Deliver tailored reports, interactive dashboards and insights to support strategic decision-making.

Staff Training and Support

• Provide tailored team training, knowledge-sharing sessions, and guidance materials to help colleagues make the best use of Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Manage data-related enquiries and provide timely support.

Cross Function Collaboration

• Work closely with the Database Officer to align on day-to-day data processing and support.
• Partner with the Finance Team on reconciliation and reporting.

The role

 We are seeking an experienced Manager of Philanthropic Giving with a strong track record in securing major gifts. The ideal candidate will excel at building trusted, long-term relationships with donors and feel confident leading conversations that result in significant philanthropic support. This role will also contribute to the development and delivery of a trusts and foundations strategy, helping to grow and strengthen our portfolio.

Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership and trustees, you will develop compelling funding propositions, steward donors and funders through excellent reporting and engagement, and represent myaware at meetings, events and networking opportunities. You will also maintain accurate records through our CRM system, track performance against targets, and contribute to income planning and reporting. This is a strategic and hands-on role with real impact for people affected by myasthenia.

The Manager of Philanthropic Giving will be predominantly home based within the UK (with occasional working and meetings at Derby HQ) and will work in co-operation with the fundraising team and all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising targets and campaigns. Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required to attend donor meetings, events and networking opportunities, as well as the ability to travel to the Derby office. There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced and motivated fundraising professional with a strong track record in major donor fundraising along with experience in Trusts and Foundations fundraising. You will have experience in personal communication in asking for high level funds, and experience of stewarding high net worth individuals to maintain high levels of engagement over a significant period. You will have experience of Trusts and Foundations fundraising including pipeline management and stewardship, writing compelling funding applications and impact reports.

You will be a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal, research and organisational skills, confident managing a complex pipeline and working collaboratively across teams. You will be comfortable working independently, using CRM systems, and engaging senior stakeholders, including trustees and high-level donors. Most importantly, you will share myaware’s values, demonstrate empathy with our cause, and be committed to making a meaningful difference through philanthropy.

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. The National Safeguarding Team supports churches, dioceses, religious communities, cathedrals and other Church bodies to make the Church of England a safer Church for all. The Contracts Team will be managing high profile contracts with third parties that provide services to the wider Church and victims and survivors of abuse.

The purpose of this role is to support the Senior Contract Manager to provide oversight, management and reporting, and to manage supplier relationships for all supplier contracts in the National Safeguarding Team. The Senior Email Channel Officer is a critical role in planning, creating, delivering and optimising our email campaigns and automated supporter journeys. The role ensures supporters receive timely, relevant and engaging communications that strengthen their relationship with the charity and drive meaningful action. The post holder will have experience in achieving KPI’s such as improved campaign engagement metrics; improved automated journeys to increase retention, reactivation and income; delivering email accuracy and quality; and contributing to the overall Supporter Experience Strategy to build lifetime value through more supporters, staying longer and doing more.

This is a 12-month FTC

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign and Automation Journey Planning & Delivery

· Hands on delivery, including build and test high‑quality email campaigns that support fundraising, supporter engagement and other organisational priorities such as volunteering and campaigning actions.

· Build, test and optimise automated email journeys that welcome, retain, steward and reactivate supporters, building performance knowledge and insight that can be replicated across different supporter products and journeys.

· Support the Email Channel Manager with overseeing the email marketing calendar and sign offs where needed.

· Work with data and CRM teams to improve trigger logic, personalisation and segmentation, using your audience understanding to incorporate targeting and personalisation using customer data and dynamic content logic.

· Advise on the integration of email within multi-channel campaigns (e.g. email, SMS, Whatsapp, direct mail, social and telephone)

Reporting, Performance & Insight

· Monitor performance and continuously refine journeys to improve conversion, engagement and lifetime value.

· Work with Business Intelligence, Insight and Digital Analytics teams to produce regular reports on email performance, offering clear insights and recommendations.

· Use A/B testing, segmentation and behavioural insights to drive continuous improvement.

· Ensure activity aligns with KPIs around engagement, retention, income and supporter satisfaction.

Data, Compliance & Quality Assurance

· Ensure all email activity is fully compliant with GDPR, PECR, consent and internal data governance.

· Working closely with the website team, carry out thorough QA across content, links, rendering and segmentation before deployment.

· Champion accessibility, inclusive language and best‑practice UX within email design.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

· Work closely with internal teams needing email support, advising on strategy, best practice and channel suitability.

· Work closely with digital, brand, design, marketing, data and analytics and supporter engagement teams to improve the supporter experience.

Key Responsibilities

Programme leadership & delivery

· Lead the strategic and operational delivery of BELIEVE across its three interlinked workstreams

Essential Experience
